Story
Currently at a Gresham Foster Home. Melody is a a sweet girl with a dominant personality. She adores pets and sitting beside you on the couch and has even started getting on her foster's lap! She also has that sassy Siamese personality and will swat/bat at you when you stop petting her and she wants more, or to tell you NO when she is not in the mood for pets. She seems annoyed by most other cats and is the "fun Police" at her foster's home. We think she would do best as an only cat. When Cat Utopia took her in she had 5 precious newborns, she was an amazing though very protective mother and her babies have grown-up and moved out. This empty nester is ready for a home and family of her own! One that treats her like the QUEEN she is of course! She will repay you with much purrs and leg rubs and lap warming. All adoptions start with an adoption application. The link is on her AdoptAPet profile page.

Story
Hi, I'm Valentino. I'm a really sweet boy trapped in a really scared boy's body. I have a huge heart, but lack some bravery to show my love. I came from a large hoarding case where I didn't learn what being a pet cat is. I'm looking for a family who will show me in small steps what that looks like. I can tell you I love all the pets and I have the squeakiest baby meow despite being a big man. It's really quite endearing! Here's what you need to know about me:I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give.If there are kids in my new home, I prefer them to be older than 6 and would like to meet them before going home. An adoption counselor can tell you more. Primary Color: Seal Point Secondary Color: White Weight: 10.1875 Age: 5yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
What my friends at OHS say about me:Looking for a conversation partner? I'm quite chatty!I'm a very active and curious boy - I love to run, jump, and explore!Need a pal to motivate you to get up and play? That's me!I should be pursuing a career in cat modeling, but instead I'm just looking for a nice family to call my own.I will never leave your side (don't wanna miss out on any pets) but I'd rather not be picked up too often. I love being with my people and need the attention, but I can be sensitive to being held and carried.I had a surgery to repair a ruptured cruciate ligament and will need physical therapy and exercise restrictions for 6-8 weeks. You will need to follow up with your family veterinarian about my surgery.Handling Sensitivity: I can be overwhelmed by overhandling, restraint or touch. I may exhibit my discomfort in a variety of ways and will need to go to a cat savvy home.Overstimulation: I enjoy interacting with people, but petting can easily become overwhelming and unpleasant for me. I may exhibit my discomfort in a variety of ways, including biting, and need an owner who pays close attention to my body language. The type of home I'm looking for:I need a home without cats or other small animals.I am not for the first time cat owner. Someone very familiar with feline body language is a must for me.It could be with you! Click here to learn about the adoption process. Primary Color: Chocolate Point Weight: 8.16 Age: 2yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
I got Samantha from a shelter back in January! She is a very sweet, loving girl, though new places can take a bit of getting used to for her. She would prefer to be the only cat, but if you do have other cats, she can adjust with a slow, careful introduction because she can be a little hissy and might swat at the other cats. She absolutely loves her food! Because she is currently 18 pounds, she is on a strict weight-loss diet that must be maintained. I feed her 1/2 can of wet food for breakfast, 1/2 can for lunch, and exactly 1/4 cup of dry kibble for dinner. Because she is so food-motivated, she eats very fast; it is best to spread her wet food on a lick mat so she doesn't throw up. I'm guessing she lived on the streets for a long time before the shelter, as she doesn’t really understand toys or know how to play normally. Instead of chasing things, she just kind of wiggles at them in the cutest way! She is a truly wonderful, good girl who loves the occasional belly rub.
