Story
Meet Pebbles, a dainty little heartbreaker with a flair for subtlety. She’s looking for a human with a soft touch and a lot of patience—think “quiet evenings in” rather than “house party central.” Pebbles is a bit shy around people, but she’s made peace with the resident dog and cat in her foster home, so she’s not above having furry friends. Strangers might get the slow-blink treatment at first, but give her time and she’ll start to show her softer side. She’s not the type to be picked up and paraded around, but if you’re sitting quietly, she’ll happily accept all the head scratches and gentle pets you can offer. If Pebbles had a dating profile, her bio would read “My love language is staring at you from across the room until I decide you’re safe.”All cats/kittens are spay/neutered, fully vaccinated, treated for any parasites, tested for Feline Leukemia and FiV and receive a microchip with a lifetime of free registration. www.missionforpaws.org/application

Story
Mist is a stunning 6-year-old Siamese cat with a calm spirit, a loving heart, and a story of resilience. After spending many months surviving as a stray in the harsh Texas heat, Mist is finally safe and ready to find the loving family she deserves. Little is known about Mist's life before she appeared around an apartment complex earlier this year. She was first noticed in January and relied on the kindness of neighbors for food and care. Despite the challenges of life outdoors, Mist remained friendly and trusting. When she was found, she had become quite thin from living outside, but thanks to dedicated caretakers, she has received the medical attention and nourishment she needed and is now thriving. Mist is the perfect companion for someone looking for a quiet, affectionate feline friend. She enjoys relaxing near her people and is happiest simply being part of the household. Whether you're reading a book, working from home, watching television, or gaming, Mist will happily keep you company. She has a peaceful presence and appreciates a comfortable spot where she can lounge while spending time with her favorite humans. After enduring life on the streets, Mist is ready to trade the uncertainty of outdoor living for the comfort and security of a forever home. She deserves a family that will cherish her for the sweet, gentle companion she is. If you're looking for a calm, loving cat to share your days with, Mist may be the perfect addition to your family. Mist has already been spayed, and has received a thorough veterinary workup and is up to date on her vaccinations. Recent bloodwork has been completed, and she is found to be of good health. She is currently being fostered in Houston but can be transported to any state and even Canada to the right home. To meet this sweet baby via facetime or whatsapp or other video app, please send an application available at https://form.jotform.com/241918441937161.

Story
MR CONGENIALITY WHO'S ALSO BONA FIDE EYE CANDY  DOB 2/25/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Milo, an affectionate, outgoing, and playful lynx-point Siamese mix fella who luxuriates when I’m Foster Meowmy lavishes me with love and affection. In fact, if I feel like she’s not giving me enough of the attention that I crave, I’ll head-butt her to remind her that I’d love a little scratch around my ears or cheeks. I guess that you already noticed that I’m handsomely debonair with my striking Frank Sinatra blue eyes and whimsical tabby stripes that embellish my face, forearms, and forelegs. Foster Meowmy first noticed me as someone’s obviously lost or abandoned pet who was trying to fend for food among a colony of community cats at an apartment complex. My friendliness distinguished me as she watched the resident children playing with me. So she wasted no time in picking me up and bringing me to the safe haven of her home. Boy howdy! Was I ever relieved to kiss good-bye to the hardscrabble life of a stray as it was not for me! I made friends easily with her resident cats, who have become my playmates as we romp and chase each other around the house. Now I’m ready to bring my winsome friendliness and deep devotion for both hoomans as well as other cats to my forever family. Could that be you? If you’re looking for a Mr. Congeniality who’s also bona fide eye candy, then I’m the boy for you! Arrange to meet me! I promise to double your joys and halve your sorrows! You haven’t lived until you've met an amiable Siamese kitty like me who truly loves to be around people of all ages. HOPE ID 26-0523-M042 Milo’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. To apply online: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site that Milo will be this weekend, email us at sfenicle1@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
INCREDIBLY AFFECTIONATE AND WONDERFULLY TALKATIVE  DOB 6/26/23 Hey there, everyone! I’m Sammy, a handsome, incredibly affectionate, and wonderfully talkative blue lilac-point Siamese mix fella who, just like Siamese purebreds, is happiest when I’m close to my favorite hoomans. I'll cheerfully follow Foster Meowmy from room to room to ensure that I can supervise her daily activities and simultaneously give her a running commentary to ensure that she never feels alone. Whether she’s cooking dinner, working from home, or just relaxing on the couch, I’ll be right there, convinced that everything is more fun when we’re together Some cats are born to live outdoors, but I assure you that I am not one of them. I originally showed up at Foster Meowmy's community cat feeding station looking like a grumpy, intact survivor of numerous caterwauling fights. She trapped me because she assumed that I was feral -- until I made it abundantly clear that what I really wanted was NOT freedom but a family of my very own. After surviving the hardest chapter of my life, I was more than ready to leave the streets forever and again be the spoiled house cat I had been in my past. My clipped left ear may tell the story of where I’ve been recently, but my tender, devoted disposition tells the story of where I belong. Once Foster Meowmy brought me to the safe haven of her home, my wish list has been refreshingly simple -- a bowl of wet food, an occasional Churu treat, a soft bed, and – most of all -- someone to love. Unfortunately, the consequences of surviving the hardscrabble life became a reality when I tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+), which I probably contracted from the deep bite wound from an intact male cat. (Unlike Feline Leukemia, FIV is NOT passed on "casually" by sharing food bowls and litter boxes with other household cats.) Being FIV positive means that I should live an average life span as long as my dental health is routinely monitored and prompt attention is given to any urinary-tract or upper-respiratory infections. Now I’m just waiting for someone to adopt me so that I can write the brightest chapter of my story -- complete with a happily-ever-after forever home where I’ll never have to wonder if I’m loved again. Arrange to meet me today! I can’t wait for us to have cozy conversations together because, as you’ll soon find out, I have plenty to say! HOPE ID# 26-0731-M066 Sammy’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. Story
HE "CLEANED UP NICELY"  DOB 6/1/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Astro, a friendly, affectionate, cuddly, and handsome blue-eyed lynx-point Siamese/ Snowshoe mix fella who has bonded quite closely to Foster Meowmy. I diligently follow her everywhere around the house just in case she needs my opinion on something, and I adore sleeping in bed with her at night. A friend of Foster Meowmy’s found me as a year-old stray who was in pretty rough shape outside of her home, and fortunately she rushed me to her vet to get the care I needed. With baths, meds, and nourishing meals, she patiently nursed me back to the fitness you’d expect of a young cat, and today I’m “none the worse for wear.” (It helps that I have an enthusiastically voracious appetite!) I might add that I luxuriated in all that attention, even if it was therapeutic, after the neglect that I had previously suffered!! My feline Florence Nightingale clearly communicated to me that I was greatly loved and cherished. Recently Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate and offered to find me a wonderful forever home through the HOPE adoption program. When I arrived in my foster home, I immediately got along great with her other cats and kids. Now that I’ve blossomed into the wonderful kitty I was always destined to be, I’m ready to bring my stunning good looks and loyal, devoted companionship to my forever family. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today! I promise that we’ll fall head over paws in love with each other the instant that we meet. Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a fella like me who’s beyond the stage of kitten mayhem. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break any of your treasured accessories. HOPE ID 26-0727-A053 Astro’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.
