Hi, I’m Hobbes and I want to share my story. I was in a home before I was surrendered to Texas CARES. It was my one and only home and I was the star of the house, that is, until my family had a baby. After that, it seems I was set aside. The wonderful people at Texas CARES took me into their rescue but that is not where my story ends. You see, I am a very special boy and have had some pretty big ups and downs. In my foster home, I was having such a time using my litter box and no one could seem to figure out why I was going outside of it. They took me to the vet, where they ran tests and more tests. That wasn’t fun, because I am not a huge fan of going into the carrier (I told foster mom all about it on the ride) but I knew it was for my own good. My foster mom, along with the medical team, tried several different things. My food was changed, my foster mom used extra litter boxes, but I still would go outside the box. There was even a time where I heard talk of euthanasia. I’m not sure what that is but it sure didn’t sound good! I know my foster mom was so frustrated and really wanted to help me, but it was tough. Finally, foster mom and the medical team, along with the vets, started me on some different antibiotics and some medicine to help with my mental state. This seemed to be what was needed for me because I now use the litter box each and every time I need to go! So, you see, it took a little time, but I am finally ready to seek out a forever home. I will have to be on my special food, which helps prevent crystals in my urine, and I may have to be on my mental meds long term, but I take them like a champ. In fact, I don’t even think it’s medicine because it looks and tastes like a chicken treat. I enjoy my prescription food as well! I do get along with dogs and I have met my foster mom's cats but honestly, I’d probably prefer just to have my very own human to myself. I won’t be going up to the adoption center, so if you’d like to meet me and have a chat, my foster family will make arrangements for you to meet me! I really hope you will take a chance on me because I am a really wonderful boy and I am ready to be your best friend! Medical: Special Diet - He is now on CD Urinary food both dry and wet. Fluoxetine - Compounded Treat Chews - ordered monthly and delivered to his home.

💙 Meet Newman 💙 Named for his soft blue eyes, this sweet senior boy has been through a lot. After months of living in a car and fending for himself, Newman was surrendered to Humane Tomorrow and given the care he so deserved. He’s had a full vet workup (all good!) and is now thriving in foster care. She has a gentle, reserved personality and would do best in a calm environment with adults or older children who can give her time to adjust. Nova is housebroken, enjoys her space, and does well with other cats. With patience and understanding, she has the potential to form a strong bond with her new family. Her adoption fee is $50. Super Amazing Snowshoe cat that was a Rescue from the streets hence her name "Alley". She is good with older kids and Dogs as well as being Indoor/Outdoors!I am needing an Emergency Rehoming because the RV park I just moved to does not allow cats to be outdoors and my cat has snuck out and is about to get me kicked out
