Penelope is a sweet 9 yr old cat I adopted from petsmart 7 years ago. She loves to lounge around her person and get rubs. Although a little older she still likes to play but napping/lounging is her favorite thing to do. She likes to explore outside and hunt bugs. She's well trained and likes her litter box cleaned regularly. She likes people but doesn't know how to manage little kids or other cats. She's the perfect cat for someone who has a quiet lifestyle.

Hi, I’m Hobbes and I want to share my story. I was in a home before I was surrendered to Texas CARES. It was my one and only home and I was the star of the house, that is, until my family had a baby. After that, it seems I was set aside. The wonderful people at Texas CARES took me into their rescue but that is not where my story ends. You see, I am a very special boy and have had some pretty big ups and downs. In my foster home, I was having such a time using my litter box and no one could seem to figure out why I was going outside of it. They took me to the vet, where they ran tests and more tests. That wasn’t fun, because I am not a huge fan of going into the carrier (I told foster mom all about it on the ride) but I knew it was for my own good. My foster mom, along with the medical team, tried several different things. My food was changed, my foster mom used extra litter boxes but I still would go outside the box. There was even a time where I heard talk of euthanasia. I’m not sure what that is but it sure didn’t sound good! I know my foster mom was so frustrated and really wanted to help me but it was tough. Finally, foster mom and the medical team, along with the vets, started me on some different antibiotics and some medicine to help with my mental state. This seemed to be what was needed for me because it has been 5 whole months! and I have gone in the litter box each and every time I need to go! So you see, it took a little time but I am finally ready to seek out a forever home. I will have to be on my special food, which helps prevent crystals in my urine, and I may have to be on my mental meds long term but I take them like a champ. In fact, I don’t even think it’s medicine because it looks and tastes like a chicken treat. I enjoy my prescription food as well! I do get along with dogs and I have met my foster moms cats but honestly, I’d probably prefer just to have my very own human to myself. I won’t be going up to the adoption center, so if you’d like to meet me and have a chat, my foster family will make arrangements for you to meet me! I really hope you will take a chance on me because I am a really wonderful boy and I am ready to be your best friend!  Medical:  Special Diet - He is now on CD Urinary food both dry and wet. Zeppelin was found hanging around a neighborhood with a feral colony. He was discovered by a lady, and she quickly learned that he was far too nice to survive as a street cat. She was quick to contact Classy Cats. Zeppelin is a just a big softie and a sweetie. He might look like a fighter, but he is more of a lover at heart. He adores affection and really likes ear and chin scritches. Zeppelin is friendly to every person he meets, in fact, he will always be where his people are. However, he’s happy to just peacefully hang out with other cats. He enjoys sitting in the window, watching the scenery and being grateful he’s no longer having to live outside. Meet Phil. This handsome boy was rescued from the streets of Dallas by an animal rescuer who noticed that his tail had been mangled and was in need of immediate medical attention. He had part of the tail amputated and is doing great after surgery! We estimate that Phil is around 5 years old. He is FIV positive but cats with FIV can lead a long, healthy life and can be in a home with other cats. Phil is currently being fostered with another cat and after just a couple of days, the pair have become good friends and have been observed having conversations with one another. Phil is very food motivated and eating appears to be one of his favorite hobbies. He will make a great companion for some lucky person or family.
