Story
Zeke is a medium Poodle mix puppy with a soft, wavy coat and a very gentle, submissive temperament. He is 4 months old and currently 25 lbs. Based on his growth curve, he is expected to mature around 40–50 lbs, most likely in the mid40s. Zeke’s mom is a small Beagle, but he does not look or behave like a Beagle. What he inherited is the Beagle’s sweet, peopleoriented nature paired with the Poodle’s soft coat and intelligence. He is calm, sensitive, and wants to follow his person everywhere. He has been great with other dogs and would do well in a home that enjoys a friendly, mediumenergy companion. Like all puppies, he will need continued socialization, positive training, and routine structure as he grows. If you are looking for a gentle, medium-sized doodletype puppy, Zeke is a wonderful match.   Adoption Requirements • A fenced in backyard. No invisible fences. If your condo or HOA does not allow fencing, we may consider your application case by case. • An adult who is home during the day and able to provide the time, supervision, and companionship a puppy needs. • No crating for puppies. Adopters must use a puppy playpen. We will share recommended options once your application is approved • Children in the home must be 7 years or older. Younger children may be considered if they have grown up with a dog. • Homes with no dogs or a one dog household will be considered. No multi dog households. A deposit is required to place a hold on a puppy once your application is approved. We take a deposit because preparing puppies for adoption requires coordination with multiple foster homes, arranging schedules, and making sure each puppy is ready for its appointment. When someone cancels at the last minute, it affects our foster families, our volunteers, and other approved adopters who were waiting for a chance to meet that puppy. The deposit shows that you are committed to attending your scheduled appointment. We do not offer separate meet and greets for puppies. Your appointment will serve as both your meet and greet and your adoption day. If you decide not to adopt after meeting the puppy, your deposit will be refunded. The Adoption Fee is $475 All puppies are vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and have received heartworm and flea preventatives. Once your application is approved, a 50 dollar deposit can be placed to hold your puppy until adoption day. Duke is an almost 7-year-old Border Doodle with a big heart, fluffy coat, and lots of energy. He’s incredibly sweet, very smart, and would thrive in a home with space to run and play. He’d excel at tricks or agility and loves both mental and physical activity. Duke is healthy and adores belly rubs, couch snuggles, and praise, talk sweetly to him and he turns into the wiggliest, happiest boy. He is leash reactive but friendly with dogs off-leash. Due to separation anxiety, he’d do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Not suited for apartment living, he needs a yard or easy outdoor access. I’ll also send him with all his high-quality belongings: bed, toys, crate, food, and more. Because of my busy travel schedule, he deserves a home with more time and consistency. If you’re active, affectionate, and don’t mind kisses, Duke may be your perfect match! 💛
