Story
Meet Archie. Archie is a standard poodle Logan’s rescued from a commercial breeding kennel.  He is almost 5 years old. His date of birth is 3/26/2021. He weighs about 35 lbs so on the smaller side for a standard poodle. Archie is learning housebreaking and doing better but been more difficult due to the snow and freezing temperatures we have been having.  He was marking at first but it’s calmed down now that he is neutered but still working on that. Archie is very good with the other dogs in the foster home and seems fine with cats although the cats mostly stay away from him.  He is sweet, gentle and wants to play but still a little scared.  Archie wants to trust people so bad and is slowly building up his courage. He does like to play with toys but sometimes doesn't want to share them with the other dogs.  Because of this we are requiring children of at least 10 years old if they are in the home.  Archie will need someone with a mild to moderate level of patience for the marking and house breaking.  He stays around his foster family but is a little skittish. They do not have a fenced yard and take him out on a leash. Archie is a true puppy mill dog. He will need a home with patience and that has done some research on puppy mill dogs. He is definitely not as scared as most so he has a lot of potential with a calm and patient family. Archie is now neutered, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. His adoption fee is $350.00. If you are interested in adopting Archie, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.  Logan's Heroes Animal Rescue 9411 Kings Highway, East Greenville, and 18041. Story
Meet Dolly. Please read what her foster mom has to say about this special girl.Dolly is a 3 1/2 yo 46 lb standard poodle rescued from a commercial breeding kennel by Logan’s. Dolly is a typical mill dog; any unfamiliar noise frightens her, and she bolts. We are slowly making progress. She spends a lot of time in her crate despite the door being open. Yesterday was the first time she came into the kitchen with us and lay on the dog bed. She is very sweet and wants to trust, but she is just uncertain. I can't imagine what she had to live through. She especially gets scared when I put her leash on. I don't have a fenced-in yard, so I have no choice but feel a secure fenced yard would be best for her. A person who understands that it will take love and patience would be great and if has puppy mill experience that would help so much.Dolly is in our home with 2 larger poodles but we feel she will do better with smaller dog(s) in a home as appears to like them better. She knows we wait and do not bolt out the door and stop when we come inside.  She keeps her crate clean and is doing really well with potty training having only 2 accidents right at the beginning of her coming to me. Dolly is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400.00. If  your interested in adopting Dolly and feel you have the time, the patience and experience to handle a dog who needs it, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. ***Dolly is the smaller of the poodles in the photos with solid red collar.
