We are currently having issues with our adoption inquiry webform. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with an animal or multiple animals, please email us directly at info@animalhope.org or call us 817-984-1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.Meet Belladonna. This 2 and a half to 3 year old poodle schnauzer mix weighs 8.5 lbs and has a delicate and sensitive soul. Belladonna was surrendered to us after her previous owners daughter developed severe allergies and she is now looking for a quiet and understanding home where she can feel safe. She is a nervous girl and may offer to bite when she feels uncomfortable or overwhelmed so she will need a patient adopter who can respect her boundaries and help her build trust at her own pace. Once she is comfortable Belladonna shows her sweet side and enjoys gentle companionship. She is particular about her meals and prefers a variety of foods served on a plate instead of in a bowl. She has done well around our calm lobby dogs though she can become overwhelmed by too many or by very energetic pups. Her adoption fee is 450. Belladonna would thrive in a peaceful home with someone who understands that love can take time and who is willing to give her the space she needs to blossom. What is included with adoptionSpay and neuter Microchip All required vaccinations Blood and fecal tests along with treatment if needed Flea tick and heartworm prevention Free wellness exam within 7 to 10 days from the day of adoptionTo adopt you must be 21 or older and live within an hour of our facility.Do you have any questions or would you like to set an appointment?

Story
Mildred is still available for adoption, and her adoption fee is $300. She’s about 7 years old and weighs approximately 10.5 lbs. She came to us from a city shelter as a stray. Mildred is a very sweet girl—just a little shy at first—but she warms up with gentle attention. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys spending time outside.Because we don’t observe our animals in home environments, we can’t guarantee whether they’re fully housebroken. Every pet adjusts at their own pace, and some may need a bit of patience and consistency as they settle into a new routine.Every animal adopted from us receives:Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochippingUpdated vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)Flea/tick and heartworm preventionA free wellness exam within 7–10 days of adoptionTo adopt, you must:Be at least 21 years oldLive within one hour of our facilityIf you’d like to meet Mildred or have any questions, I’d be happy to help you arrange a visit. She has so much love to give, and we can’t wait to see her find the family she deserves.Would you like to set up an appointment or learn anything else about her?

Story
Meet Elvis! 🎸🐾This sweet little guy is about 1–2 years old, now weighs around 11 lbs, and is ready to leave his rocky past behind for a future filled with love and stability. Elvis was originally adopted from us but was recently returned because his owner realized they didn’t have enough time to give him the care and attention he deserves. His adoption fee is $300 🏡✨Thankfully, Elvis is in great shape. When he first came to us, all he needed was a deworming and a serious grooming session—his coat was heavily matted when he arrived. Now he’s looking and feeling so much better. ✨🛁Despite everything he’s been through, Elvis has a remarkably gentle disposition. He can be a little shy at first and sometimes shows signs of anxiety, but he has never shown aggression. With a little patience and kindness, he begins to open up—and it’s truly heartwarming to see. 💛Elvis has done well with the other dogs in his playgroup, though he tends to stick to himself or gravitate toward the calmer pups in the yard. He’d likely thrive in a peaceful home with someone who understands that trust takes time and love works wonders. If you’re looking for a quiet companion with a soft heart and a story worth rewriting, Elvis might just be your perfect match. We want every animal in our care to begin their next chapter in the best possible health, so when you adopt from us, you can expect (ALL already completed):Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochip placementAll core vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing with treatment as neededFlea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam 7–10 days after adoptionPlease note: because we don’t observe our animals in home environments, we can’t guarantee they are housebroken. Adopters must be 21 or older and live within an hour of our facility.Do you have any questions or would you like to set an appointment for a meet and greet?

Story
Meet Duval!Hello there! I’m Duval, a 2-year old poodle mix. I’m bursting with energy and curiosity, and I’m on the lookout for a patient and loving companion to guide me through this wonderful new life. (It was rocky there for awhile) I’m not picky I just want a loving family that will shower me with attention. I’m already 90% potty trained and crate trained, and I’m dog friendly, so I’m open to having a sibling if you’re up for it. I love the outdoors, kiddos big and small, and car rides. If you’re looking for a handsome sidekick let’s meet and see if we’re a good match. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Dahlia! At 2 months old and a whopping 2 pounds, Dahlia is a tiny little poodle mix with a spunky and sweet personality. Dahlia would love to be someone’s purse princess because she believes her feet should never touch the ground! If her feet do touch the ground, she’ll use them to follow you from place to place - wherever you go, there she’ll be. Due to her size, I think Dahlia would do best in a home with other small to medium sized dogs and children who understand the fragile nature of puppies and small animals. She would also make an excellent only child (I mean dog).To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
