We are currently having issues with our adoption inquiry webform. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with an animal or multiple animals, please email us directly at info@animalhope.org or call us 817-984-1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.Meet Belladonna. This 2 and a half to 3 year old poodle schnauzer mix weighs 8.5 lbs and has a delicate and sensitive soul. Belladonna was surrendered to us after her previous owners daughter developed severe allergies and she is now looking for a quiet and understanding home where she can feel safe. She is a nervous girl and may offer to bite when she feels uncomfortable or overwhelmed so she will need a patient adopter who can respect her boundaries and help her build trust at her own pace. Once she is comfortable Belladonna shows her sweet side and enjoys gentle companionship. She is particular about her meals and prefers a variety of foods served on a plate instead of in a bowl. She has done well around our calm lobby dogs though she can become overwhelmed by too many or by very energetic pups. Her adoption fee is 450. Belladonna would thrive in a peaceful home with someone who understands that love can take time and who is willing to give her the space she needs to blossom. What is included with adoptionSpay and neuter Microchip All required vaccinations Blood and fecal tests along with treatment if needed Flea tick and heartworm prevention Free wellness exam within 7 to 10 days from the day of adoptionTo adopt you must be 21 or older and live within an hour of our facility.Do you have any questions or would you like to set an appointment?

Meet Duval!Hello there! I’m Duval, a 2-year old poodle mix. I’m bursting with energy and curiosity, and I’m on the lookout for a patient and loving companion to guide me through this wonderful new life. (It was rocky there for awhile) I’m not picky I just want a loving family that will shower me with attention. I’m already 90% potty trained and crate trained, and I’m dog friendly, so I’m open to having a sibling if you’re up for it. I love the outdoors, kiddos big and small, and car rides. If you’re looking for a handsome sidekick let’s meet and see if we’re a good match. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Desmond!Desmond is a two-year-old red standard poodle mix with a soft heart, a curious spirit, and the sweetest demeanor. He’s the kind of dog who enjoys quietly napping, keeping you company or in another room by himself—then happily switches into playful mode when it’s time to play.He is mostly potty trained and does very well with regular outdoor breaks, preferring to go outside only. Desmond is respectful in the home, stays off the furniture, sleeps through the night, and remains calm when someone comes to the door. That said, when it’s food time, he gets adorably excited and may let out a few happy sounds. It’s very endearing and comes from pure enthusiasm. He may search for snacks or counter-surf if given the chance but he responded well to being told no by his foster mom and staying off. He is extremely gentle when taking treats and continues to make great progress with consistency and reassurance. His crate is his safe space, and he genuinely enjoys it. You’ll often find him relaxing there with one of his favorite chews like bully sticks or cowhide. He also has a funny habit of collecting random household items and bringing them back to his crate—he doesn’t destroy them, he just likes to keep them close.Socially, Desmond is a bit timid at first but very sweet once he warms up. He does well with both younger and older children and has been wonderful with cats, quickly befriending his foster family’s cat. He is gentle, respectful, and kind. He also does well meeting other dogs and enjoys playful interactions once he feels comfortable.Desmond learned how to walk on a leash quickly and does well, though he is still gaining confidence in new environments and will need a patient family as he continues to explore the world. He loves spending time in the backyard, sniffing around, exploring, and enjoying fresh air.Desmond would benefit from having a friendly canine companion to play with and learn from but he would also thrive as an only dog where he can soak up all the love. He’s a super sweet, gentle, and joyful boy who will make a wonderful companion for a home that appreciates both his calm presence and his playful energy. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Delbert!I hit a rough patch in my life recently and now I’m ready to find my forever family. I’m a real gentleman and quite charming and I love all people, big and small. I’m working on gaining a few more pounds, and then I’ll be prefect. I`m only 3 years old and I’d love a family that would play fetch with me, take me on car rides or just chill at home and shower me with love. I’m already potty trained and crate trained. I’d prefer a female sister, but with the right introduction a brother might be okay too. I’ve never met a cat before, so I don’t know much about them. If you’re looking for someone to love, I’m looking for you.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Noodle!   He is a tall, slim, handsome guy who is ready for his forever home.  He was out looking for help  ( or a new home )  one day when he came across a couple who helped him look for his owners.  When the owners were not found, his helpers got him into rescue.  While TSBR does not generally have DNA results on dogs in program, Noodles friends wanted to know what  makes up this handsome boy.  72 % Poodle (Medium and Standard) 24 % Golden Retriever 3 % Poodle (Toy and Miniature) 1 % American Cocker Spaniel   What a great testament to his fantastic personality! This playful, loving boy is fully vetted and ready to find his new home!   Noodle loves all the people he meets.  He knows sit, shake, down, and place and   is making good progress on leash training and  can heel.   He is house trained and uses a dog door.  Noodle sleeps quietly in either his kennel or on a dog bed  by his foster’s  bed.   He does not get up on the furniture or ask to do so but could probably be convinced if you would like this! Noodle is loved at the vet and great at the groomers.  He loves car rides and will lay on a pillow quietly in the back of the car.  Noodle does not jump on people or counter surf.  He also is not a barker.  He is a trusted member of his foster family and has full range of the house when his fosters are away.     This energetic boy loves to play with other dogs.  He is considerate of older and smaller dogs as well.  He does play energetically with dogs of his own age and size…his foster sister taught him that.  Recently, Noodle has been showing interest in stuffed toys and has a large ball that he loves to chase and carry about. Falling for Noodle…Ask to meet him~ retrieveafriend.org/adopt  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 2, 2026, 6:45 pm
