This sweet boy was born around September 2021 and is a calm, gentle cat who thrives in a peaceful home. He loves curling up next to you—especially if you have a blanket—and is happiest lounging nearby and keeping you company. He gets along great with other cats and would be an easy fit in a multi-cat home, but he’d also do wonderfully in a quiet, single-person household or a senior-friendly home where life isn’t too busy. He’s affectionate, mellow, and not demanding—just a comforting, loyal companion who enjoys soft spots and warm people. I’m rehoming him due to severe allergies, but he’s a wonderful, well-behaved cat who deserves a loving home where he can feel safe and relaxed.

Because this cat kept hanging out at our house, we tried to adopt this neighborhood stray, had him fixed and vaccinated. At first, our two domesticated cats didn’t mind his presence but after a while resentment became an issue. We believe that the stress with attempting to have all of the cats to cohabitate became too much of a problem especially with our rag doll cat who has developed a respiratory problem with asthma. We believe the cats are becoming more territorial is marking up the house with urine, fecal matter and scent spraying. An issue that was not present before the arrival of Blue. The stressful situation is also causing a serious issue with family members in the household and their relationships in trying to address this.

Meet Riley, a petite lady cat who has been rescued and re-rescued. When we first learned of Riley, she had been deposited by her owners at a vet to be euthanized, even though she was perfectly healthy. Then she was adopted by a Village resident. Then she came to the Cat Club. Then she was adopted by another resident and her daughter. Then she was given to a sailor and spent time at sea. Then police found her abandoned at the Long Beach Marina and she ended up back with the Cat Club. But in spite of all her adventures, Riley is the friendliest, most companionable cat we have ever known. Don't let her age distract you from having this beautiful, easygoing little being in your life. Pretty Riley has brown tabby stripes, white throat, tummy, and paws, and bright green-gold eyes. Riley's 15 years old, vet-checked, and doing fine. She's not afraid; she welcomes pets and attention even from strangers. Riley enjoys a bit of gossip -- talk to her and she'll chatter back. She enjoys a play session chasing wand toys, but she's also big on just relaxing near her foster. She's a laid-back lady cat who's hoping for a permanent loving home.
