Tobey (originally Gerbil at the Atlanta Humane Society) was adopted as a 6 week old kitten in December of 2019. He is a very cuddly cat to his owners, however, he is territorial over his domain with a history of intimidating guests and our children. This has become difficult as we've started a family with two young kids. While he only has a couple instances of swiping at our kids/guests, he is difficult to trust. He has never bitten anybody. We think Tobey would do well in an adult-only home. We should also note that he is on a special diet, as he had a urinary obstruction in September 2023. We haven't had any issues since and the vet has assured us that future blockages are unlikely as long the prescription food is maintained. We would love for Tobey to find a loving home.

Per the Department of Agriculture rules and regulations, The Kitten Rescue Project is responsible for vetting all of its kittens before adoption is final. At this time the kitten is not fully vetted because he/she is too young. We expect vetting will be completed around Dec 12th, but could be delayed a couple weeks longer if he/she does not meet the weight requirement by our vet. Once vetted, our kittens are dewormed, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Our feline adoption fee is $120, which assists in offsetting but does not entirely cover the expenses incurred for the animal's care and completion of essential veterinary care. We do not place cats in homes based on the order of application received. Instead, we prioritize the earliest applications that are the best match for the kitten. We will prioritize applicants within a 2 hour drive of Atlanta, GA to help minimize the kitten's stress during transport. Our adoption process does not happen in a single day. If you’re looking for a bold, playful, and endlessly entertaining little guy, Peter might just be your perfect match! This buff (light orange) tabby may be one of the two runts of his litter, but don’t let his size fool you — he’s absolutely fearless. Peter loves leaping onto and wrestling with cats twice his size, always with a gleam of mischief in his eye and a purr in his throat. Peter’s curiosity knows no bounds — he’s the first to investigate new things and the last to tire of a game. He’s also one of the most playful kittens in his litter, turning anything into a toy and every moment into an adventure. This group of kittens was   born to a feral mama. They were taken in to give them a chance of a normal awesome indoor living life. They are absolutely adorable! They play hard and sleep hard. They are curious about everything even watching the litter box being scooped is amazing to them. They have many toys and play with all of them. Marnie's journey started out as a feral cat that was trapped with the intention of spaying her and re-releasing her. She didn't have the typical feral cat behavior and you could tell that she wanted to trust people. She had an intestinal infection so she went home with her now foster mom to be treated before having her spay done. During that time, she realized that she likes being pet and getting attention. Marnie is a beautiful cat and has come a long way.with her socialization. She is in a house with dogs so is not getting all of the attention that she needs. With that being said, when she finds her person, she will thrive with time and patience. She tested positive for FIV but the vet confirmed that she can live a long, normal, healthy life. Marnie is so sweet and needs a chance to become the amazing cat that we know she will be and get the love and attention that she so deserves. Will you be the one to give her that chance?
