Story
I got Harley from neighbors that found her abandoned under a shed crying. Her age was difficult to determine when found but I’ve taken care of her since Halloween 2024. I want Harley to have a loving home with a loving family. Harley is very goofy, less verbal, independent, chill, clingy at night, and a wanderer.

Story
Hey there, I’m Cheez Innit! Yes, my name is as delightful as I am! I’m a handsome orange kitty with a sunny personality to match my bright coat. I’ve got those classic ginger good looks and a big heart full of purrs just waiting to share. I’m the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. One minute I’m batting around toys and showing off my zoomies, and the next I’m curling up in a warm lap like I’ve always belonged there. I love chin scratches, cozy blankets, and being told how handsome I am (because I definitely am). Orange cats are known for having lots of personality, and I don’t disappoint! I’m friendly, curious, and always ready to “help” with whatever you’re doing. I’d love a home where I can explore, nap in sunny windows, and be your loyal little sidekick. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion with extra charm and a sprinkle of cheese-inspired sweetness, I’m your guy. Cheez Innit be the best decision you ever make? I’m available for adoption at The Shelter Pet Adoption Center inside Petco, located at 10017 Biddick Lane, Huntersville, NC 28078. You can call 704-266-3647 or email NCteam@austinpetsalive.org to learn more about me. I can’t wait to meet my forever cuddle buddy!

Story
💕 Meet Rizzo, 6 years old and the most zen, cuddly kitty anyone could hope for! Rizzo was a friendly, outdoor neighborhood cat sadly abandoned last spring when his caregiver moved. He had visited us for years and began camping out in our yard when he lost his home. Too lovable to turn away when no one else in the neighborhood could adopt him, Rizzo thrived as our outdoor cat until winter. He has now adapted to the in-garage shelter we’ve built but begs to come inside daily. Wanting to transition him indoors, we had a vet complete a full physical only to find he is FIV positive. While he is symptom-free and extremely healthy otherwise, our indoor cats will be at risk living with him. Heartbroken, we are now seeking another loving family/caregiver to give him the secure home and full-time companionship he deserves! In an indoor environment, Rizzo has the potential to live a long, happy life! He gets along with dogs, kids, and other cats (who will also need to be FIV+ to stay healthy).

Story
She showed up at our front door right before we were supposed to get a big ice and snow storm. We couldn’t let her stay outside so we brought her in! We have had for over a month now. She has been kept separate from our other animals because she does not get along with them. She is fine to be near them she just does not like interacting with them and unfortunately all our animals want to do is play. She is a very sweet and loving cat! She loves pets and cuddles and isn’t afraid of people at all! We think she would prefer to be in a home with no other animals. Because she is a stray that we found, we are unsure of any past vet visits but we are assuming she has never been. We think she is less than a year old because she is still pretty small. We want to find her a perfect home and we don’t think our home is the right fit.

Story
Meet Tuesday! She is around 5 ½ years old, 13 lbs, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. Rescued as a feral kitten, Tuesday was raised in a home with dogs which was a stressful environment that wasn’t the right fit for her. Now with us, she’s enjoying the space she needs to decompress and show her true self. Quiet and observant, Tuesday loves lounging in her favorite spots and watching the world go by. She’s become much more curious since arriving and is gradually getting more comfortable around strangers. Independent by nature, she prefers doing her own thing and warms up slowly, especially to women. Tuesday isn’t demanding, but she will thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe and secure, ideally as the only pet. If you’re looking for a low-key, gentle companion who appreciates affection on her terms, Tuesday could be the perfect match for you.

Story
Mr. Beaumont, or simply Beaumont once you earn his trust, is a quiet, independent gentleman who prefers to take things at his own pace. He needs a little time to warm up to new people and environments, but once trust is established, he settles in nicely. Beaumont enjoys having his own space and does not like being confined. He would do best in a home where he can roam freely and choose when he wants attention. Affection is appreciated on his terms, and he communicates clearly when he’s uncomfortable by soft-pawing. Food is the quickest way to Beaumont’s heart. He eats well, knows exactly when feeding time is, and is very food motivated, making treats a great way to build a bond with him. When he’s not enjoying a meal, you’ll often find him stretched out in a sunny spot or watching birds and squirrels from the window. Beaumont is quiet, clean, and fully litter trained. He would thrive in a calm home with a patient adopter who understands and respects a cat that values independence and gentle communication.

Story
Mackie may look like an intimidating little panther, but he’s truly just a scared, shy boy. Despite his fear, Mackie has never hissed, scratched, or bitten anyone. He has a timid nature, not a mean one. With patience and a soft approach, he allows head scratches and gentle pets, even if he’s still nervous. Mackie will need a quiet, calm home where he can decompress and feel safe. He may spend some time hiding at first, but as trust grows, his sweet and calm personality will begin to shine.
