Story
Frankie is a charmer! Only 5 years old and 16 lbs of muscle! Frankie is an affectionate love-bug and he will adore you! He is extremely affectionate, loves to be picked up and held like a baby. He will fall asleep in your lap and will probably want to be your bed partner! He loves kisses and belly rubs and is great with the litter box. He is neutered, vaccinated, FELV negative, ears cleaned, no fleas, was dewormed, and also microchipped. Because Frankie loves a good deal of attention, we feel he should be the only cat in the home. He seems to be nervous around other cats as he must have been tormented by other cats when he was abandoned. If you would like to learn more about this super handsome guy, please call 908-453-0082 Communities Altering The Strays (CATS) You can also watch his video on our Facebook page.

Story
Princess Leia is a gentle, loving girl who is hoping to find a quiet home where she can finally feel safe. She is a 5-year-old female grey tabby (born 5/4/21) who is spayed, microchipped, completely healthy, and up to date on all vaccinations. She is very much loved and has a calm, tender personality. Leia is affectionate and people-focused. She enjoys being close to her humans, soaking up pets, and sharing peaceful moments together, especially in the evenings. She is not demanding or pushy, just happy to be near the people she trusts. Unfortunately, she has been repeatedly bullied by other cats in our home. Leia does not defend herself and instead hides and lives in constant stress. This sweet couch-potato would much prefer just to cuddle with us, but her siblings make it impossible. Leia would do best as an only cat or possibly with one gentle, easygoing cat. She is great with older kids and forms strong bonds with her people. Please give this sweet girl the home she deserves.

Story
Nikko is an exceptionally handsome tabby boy with a big personality. He is a very friendly kitty who enjoys spending time with his people and seems to like dogs. Nikko thrives on being petted and is fine with being held. As with most kitties he enjoys playtime. Foil balls, catnip toys and the turbo scratcher are a few of his favorites. Nikko is a social boy who adjusts quickly to new people and places. Nikko tends to be a bit bossy with the other cats especially around meal time and lets them know by swatting at them. We feel he would be happiest as an only cat or with one other cat who will respect his space. We also feel he will do well with dogs with proper introduction. Nikko cannot wait to have a family to call his own! Nikko is about 2 years old, ( as of 3/1/25), neutered, up to date on vaccinations, negative for Felv and positive FIV.

Story
Introducing Willow!❤️ This petite tabby girl with the over-the-back tail is Willow. We don't know much about what her life was like before being rescued, but we know that, even in loving foster homes, she started off as very scared and skittish. In her first foster home, her family couldn't get photos of her because she constantly hid and would run away if people approached her. Now in her second foster home, there have been some positive changes, but she will still be a challenge for an adoptive family.☺️ She is cute and playful, whether by herself or with other cats. She tries to be friends with other cats in her foster home, but doesn't have much confidence, even though the other cats set good examples of typical cat behavior. She lets her foster family pet her, and she seems to enjoy it; she keeps head-butting hands asking for more pets. However they still cannot pick her up so they continue to work on that. She has been coaxed daily for over a year to jump up on a lap and always looked interested but then ran away. Very recently, however, she jumped up on a lap for the first time. 😻 She finally seemed to understand that it is safe and comfortable. What a day to celebrate! 🙌🏽 There’s a video in the comments that shows her finally appreciating a lap. Otherwise, she is a typical, adorable little girl. She likes to watch birds and squirrels from a cat tree and plays with kickers that are bigger than she is. She carries around toy mice and races up and down stairs with the zoomies. She is looking for a home with experienced adopters who are willing to continue to work with her and help her build confidence. Her playful demeanor and adorable face will be a great reward for a new family. We think she would do well with another cat who is confident but laid back and not dominant. We do not recommend a home with small children, as Willow is still skittish and scared of movement toward her. Willow is about 1 year and 8 months old, spayed, up-to-date with vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV.

Story
Rhea is a graceful young lady, around 1 year old, who came to us alongside her friends Uso and Ortan. Like them, Rhea’s early life likely involved fending for herself, which has made her a bit cautious around people, but there's something incredibly endearing about her quiet, watchful nature. She tends to hang back and take everything in before deciding it's safe to engage. Rhea isn’t one to seek out attention right away, but with calm voices, gentle movements, and a consistent routine, she’s beginning to show signs of trust. Rhea would do best in a peaceful home with patient humans and older children who understand the value of going slow. Another friendly, well-adjusted cat could be just the companion she needs to help her continue to grow and feel more secure. If you believe that love is earned through patience and quiet connection, Rhea could be the perfect feline for your heart and home. If adoption isn’t in the cards right now, you can still make a difference by clicking the donate button below Rhea’s profile. It would be pawsitively amazing!

Story
Introducing Kira, a 9-year-old beauty with a big personality and an even bigger love for her feather toys and catnip. Unfortunately, Kira was surrendered to the shelter due to her owner no longer being able to care for her. Despite this, Kira has not let it hold her back, she is still full of spirit and sass. She’s the kind of cat who knows what she wants: attention on her terms, playtime with flair, and plenty of cozy naps in her favorite pineapple-shaped hidey bed. Kira is affectionate and loyal with her people, but she’s also not shy about telling you when she needs her “me time.” A true diva in the best way, she would love to be your one and only, but might be open to sharing her space with a fellow mellow cat who respects her need for independence. She’s currently on a special overweight food that’s working great for her health. If you’re looking for a cat with charm, character, and just the right amount of cattitude, Kira is your girl.If adoption isn’t in the cards right now, you can still make a difference by clicking the donate button below Kira’s profile. Story
Meet Lotus, a sweet but nervous girl who is looking for a calm and loving family to call her forever home. Lotus is a little lady who likes to rub against her brother Chief, while not necessarily bonded, she would thrive in a home with another cat to help bring out her personality. Lotus and Chief came in with 10 of their siblings after their owner had to move and couldn't take them with, so they can be quite nervous and unsure in new environments and with new people. Lotus has been building up her confidence since coming to the shelter and has, with time and patience, slowly been learning that people can be safe. Lotus would both do best in a quiet household where she can feel safe and secure, and where her new family will give her the space she needs to blossom at her own pace. Staff believes she would do well with adults and older children who can respect her need for space. If adoption isn’t in the cards right now, you can still make a difference by clicking the donate button below Lotus’s profile. It would be pawsitively amazing!
