Story
To begin... please adopt Bud. He is FIV positive. I am unable to have him indoors. He is safe indoors with other cats who are calm and never aggressive to any other cats in the household. Bud came to my house one day. He let me pet him right away. He tries to get in the house but I can't t let him because my two resident cats are too aggressive. He is very sweet. I'm unable to care for him because of my two resident cats are highly likely to fight with him therefore the exchange of blood is likely which is how FIV positive is passed on. I had Bud to the vet and he is healthy. The vet agreed the cohabitation of him with my 2 cats would put them at a higher risk of contracting FIV. The vet is also the vet for my 2 cats and is aware of t heir personalities. Bud is in need of immediate adoption because he needs to be an indoor cat based on his loving behavior and of trying to get in my door. My house is too small that I can't separate resident cats from Bud. Please adopt Bud.

Story
Nikko is an exceptionally handsome tabby boy with a big personality. He is a very friendly kitty who enjoys spending time with his people and seems to like dogs. Nikko thrives on being petted and is fine with being held. As with most kitties he enjoys playtime. Foil balls, catnip toys and the turbo scratcher are a few of his favorites. Nikko is a social boy who adjusts quickly to new people and places. Nikko tends to be a bit bossy with the other cats especially around meal time and lets them know by swatting at them. We feel he would be happiest as an only cat or with one other cat who will respect his space. We also feel he will do well with dogs with proper introduction. Nikko cannot wait to have a family to call his own! Nikko is about 2 years old, ( as of 3/1/25), neutered, up to date on vaccinations, negative for Felv and positive FIV.

Story
Introducing Willow!❤️ This petite tabby girl with the over-the-back tail is Willow. We don't know much about what her life was like before being rescued, but we know that, even in loving foster homes, she started off as very scared and skittish. In her first foster home, her family couldn't get photos of her because she constantly hid and would run away if people approached her. Now in her second foster home, there have been some positive changes, but she will still be a challenge for an adoptive family.☺️ She is cute and playful, whether by herself or with other cats. She tries to be friends with other cats in her foster home, but doesn't have much confidence, even though the other cats set good examples of typical cat behavior. She lets her foster family pet her, and she seems to enjoy it; she keeps head-butting hands asking for more pets. However they still cannot pick her up so they continue to work on that. She has been coaxed daily for over a year to jump up on a lap and always looked interested but then ran away. Very recently, however, she jumped up on a lap for the first time. 😻 She finally seemed to understand that it is safe and comfortable. What a day to celebrate! 🙌🏽 There’s a video in the comments that shows her finally appreciating a lap. Otherwise, she is a typical, adorable little girl. She likes to watch birds and squirrels from a cat tree and plays with kickers that are bigger than she is. She carries around toy mice and races up and down stairs with the zoomies. She is looking for a home with experienced adopters who are willing to continue to work with her and help her build confidence. Her playful demeanor and adorable face will be a great reward for a new family. We think she would do well with another cat who is confident but laid back and not dominant. We do not recommend a home with small children, as Willow is still skittish and scared of movement toward her. Willow is about 1 year and 8 months old, spayed, up-to-date with vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV.

Syrup is a courtesy post. If you are interested in Syrup, please email Michele at mixologymichele@gmail.com. Meet Syrup, a one-year-old grey tiger whose sweetness lives up to her name! This affectionate cuddlebug adores being held, pet, and curling up in cozy laps. Syrup was found on the streets with her 2 kittens, now named Waffles and Pancake (who are also looking for their furever homes). She was a great mom and now is her time to find her loving home, warm and safe inside. Could Syrup be the furry companion you’ve been searching for? Come meet her today and let her steal your heart! Story
Vito is a handsome tabby boy looking for his own person to love. He can be shy side at first so he needs someone who will understand he may need time to adjust to his new home. Once he feels "safe," he is quite the lover boy, so your patience will pay off! Vito loves to be petted and is a bit of a talker. He is fine with being held for short periods of time. As with most kitties Vito enjoys playtime! Spring toys and wand toys are a few of his favorites. Vito gets along well with the other kitties in his foster home and would love to have a friendly resident cat to show him the the ropes. Vito is a good kitty just waiting for someone pick him...he would do best in a quieter home. Vito is about 1.5 years old (as of 10/25), neutered, up to date on yearly vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV.

Story
Meet HoneyBun! Honeybun is a recent addition to our PK cat room. One of our volunteers was conducting TNR for a colony of cats and discovered this little girl trying to survive amongst the feral cats. She decided against returning Honey Bun and took her home to give her a chance at an indoor life. Honey Bun blossomed with her new friend. Sadly the volunteer realizing her age was not suitable for such a young kitty, decided to bring her to the shelter in hopes of finding a new suitable home. Honey Bun is shy at first meeting. Once she knows she can trust she allows gentle pets and soon after will turn on the purrs. When her former caretaker visits she will instantly come running to her. And sadly watches each time she leaves. She will form a great bond with her new owner. Honey Bun adores other cats and can be found cuddling with the other gentle cats of the shelter. Honey Bun also enjoys playing with toys and zooming after laser pointers. Honey Buns ideal home would be a quiet home without hustle and bustle of little ones. We ideally would like to find her a home with another quiet/ gentle kitty that will allow her to head butt and snuggle with. Honey Bun is estimated around 1 years old. She been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for leukemia/fiv, and is microchipped. Story
Meet Barney the bunny. While Barney isnt actually a bunny ( shh dot tell her!) we have made her an honorary team bunny member. Barney has made it part of her daily routine to escape from our cat room and hang out in the rabbit room where she spends her afternoon rolling and lounging on the rugs. Barney also enjoys batting around toy mice and catching her string toys. Barney has quickly wiggled her way in to the volunteers hearts with her quirkiness and sassy personality. There is something about her that makes us smile and she is probably the cat with the most daily photo shares amongst our cat volunteers. Barney affection is on her terms. When she wants to cuddle she with jump on your lap and enjoy some head pats. If she doesnt want attention a pat on the hand you will get. She especially loves to wind in between your feet. Barney would do ideal in a home with no other cats; and in an adult only home. She is tidy and clean in her litter box. Barney was found abandoned so we unfortunately dont know much about her past. We estimated her in her older adult to early seniors years. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv and microchipped. She also has had a dental and has had most of her teeth removed ( but she still requests a hard food only diet as she dislikes canned food)

Story
Danica deserves a home. She has been waiting for many years hoping that someone out there would be her person. Danica has been a tough adoption. She doesn’t like to be touched unless it’s on her terms; which is only if she is sitting in your lap. If she is not sitting with you then hands off. Anyone who has ever visited the cat room during open hours has no doubt seen one of our volunteers sitting with a cat on their lap the entire time. This would be Danica! Danica has a volunteer at the shelter she adores. As soon as she sees her enter the cat room she rushes from her perch and jumps in the lap where she transforms into an entirely different persona. Here she purrs, wants endless chin scratches, and will hold her volunteer hostage until her legs fall asleep from sitting so long! She is as happy as can be. Once she is away from sitting in a lap she turns back into her “leave me alone” persona. She will swat off your attention and grumble at your attempts. Danica is a hard sell. Many people want cats they can cuddle and pet at any time. There have been cats similar to Danica that do amazing in a home and change their demeanor. Our hope is to find someone who will accept Danica the way she is with no expectations. Someone who is looking for an independent cat. And someone who would enjoy having a cat hold their lap hostage! Danica must be an only cat. She does not enjoy sharing space with other kitties which does not help at all with her grumbly attitude. Danica is around 10 years old. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for leukemia/fiv, and is microchipped. She originally entered our shelter as an unclaimed abandoned kitty. She has perfect litter box manners. For more information on adopting Danica or any of our other cats please contact us at cats@lvpeaceablekingdom.info or 610-432-2532 ext 6
