Story
Roxy, 5yo female, is a sweet but skiddish tiger tabby who would do well in a quiet household with women, older children and other cats. Due to the co-mingling of 2 families (6people 4 animals) Roxy's quiet nature is being tested and unfortunately after a year and a half of trying various tactics to make her comfortable, we are unable to create an environment for her to have quality of life she deserves in our home. My autistic son is a little too noisy and jerky for her comfort. She does not like his service dog, however get along with the older calmer dog and other cat. e truly believe she is a great cat but cannot deal with the ongoing chaos that has become our household. At this time we have had to move her litter box to the basement and install a cat door so that she feels she has her own space in the house (free from trampling feet), however, she rarely comes out other than to eat or when everyone is sleeping. It isn't fair to her. No vet records/shots. Approx 12lbs.

Story
Nikko is an exceptionally handsome tabby boy with a big personality. He is a very friendly kitty who enjoys spending time with his people and seems to like dogs. Nikko thrives on being petted and is fine with being held. As with most kitties he enjoys playtime. Foil balls, catnip toys and the turbo scratcher are a few of his favorites. Nikko is a social boy who adjusts quickly to new people and places. Nikko tends to be a bit bossy with the other cats especially around meal time and lets them know by swatting at them. We feel he would be happiest as an only cat or with one other cat who will respect his space. We also feel he will do well with dogs with proper introduction. Nikko cannot wait to have a family to call his own! Nikko is about 2 years old, ( as of 3/1/25), neutered, up to date on vaccinations, negative for Felv and positive FIV.

Story
Wilmer is a gray tabby with gorgeous, wide eyes. He has been on quite a journey with his foster home, but we know he will be a wonderful companion for the right family. Wilmer showed up at a volunteer's yard and was taken in since he was such a friendly guy. At his vet exam, it was discovered he had been shot multiple times with a BB gun. One of the BB's was close to his knee and he needed surgery to remove the BB, but a few are too deeply embedded to easily remove. The BBs that remain don't cause any discomfort and no further surgeries or care is needed. S Investigating new things and playing are Wilmer's favorite hobbies. He is extremely playful and loves any interactive toy, but can entertain himself for hours. One of his favorite play activities is hide and seek. He loves for his foster family to hide behind a corner and he'll dash out to the hiding spot and run off to hide himself so you can find him. He's a very smart, energetic little dude! Wilmer loves chin rubs, being brushed and doesn't mind being held. While he is not a lap cat, he will sit alongside you and he definitely likes to be close by his people. He is starting to talk, especially if he doesn't know where people are and has a very soft meow. When Wilmer first showed up, it became apparent although he was an outgoing fellow, he had never been taught how to play nicely. We suspect he was raised as an only kitten and the family allowed him to bite and play rough with their hands. Initially, Wilmer didn't recognize the difference between toys and hands, which resulted in him biting and scratching. With lots of training and positive reinforcement, Wilmer has learned manners and is now gentle with his play, recognizing not to have his claws and teeth out for play. We feel Wilmer would do best in a home with experienced cat people and no young children. Wilmer is living in a foster home with other cats, but he can have an attitude. For this reason, he will need a gradual introduction to other cats. Wilmer might actually benefit from having a buddy who loves to engage in play chasing & wrestling. The resident cats in his foster home are older and although Wilmer tries to get them to play chase, they aren't interested. Wilmer is about 3 years old, neutered, up to date with yearly vaccinations and negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. For more information about Wilmer, please email Lori at apcatrescue@gmail.com
