I crave giving love and receiving love from humans. I will always be by your side, on your side, and be your sidesick! I love to cuddle and chill. Although S. Korea's new law banning the dog meat consumption is set to go into effect February 2027, and the consumption is all time low, the practice is still in common existence amongst elderly population especially in the rural countryside. No one could tell where this dog would have ended up. Thanks to the rescuers in S. Korea, this pup is longer in danger of getting trapped in dog meat trade! DoVE Project has rescue partners in S. Korea who have their own private shelter and/or foster network. Our dogs stay with either a foster family or a private shelter until they are matched with an adopter in the US. Upon arrival in the US, our dogs stay in foster homes or in boarding, as we do not have a physical facility. These dogs are identified with "in LA" in their names. Please note that we only adopt our pups in the Southern California area. Once he warms up and trusts you, he becomes your little Velcro dog—always close, always loving, and always ready to roll over for belly rubs (and yes, he’ll ask for them all day long!). His foster mom says he’s potty trained which is a plus. Don’t let his age fool you—Plushy has the energy of a puppy! He loves going for walks, running around, playing, and then curling up for cuddles. His tail is almost always wagging, especially when he’s greeting people or hoping for extra attention.Plushy gets along well with other dogs and enjoys being around his people. He can be left alone for short periods, but he truly prefers a home where someone is around most of the time—he’s happiest when he’s by your side.At home, Plushy is wonderfully cozy. After being hit by a car and left at a local LA shelter to be euthanized, her story could have ended there—but we stepped in just in time. She underwent double leg surgery and is now fully healed, moving around with strength and joy. Despite everything she’s been through, Rachel’s spirit is as sweet and joyful as ever. She’s a total people dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side—your shadow, your snuggle buddy, your constant companion. She thrives in a home where someone is around often and would love to be the center of your world.
