I'm shy at first but will warm up quickly if you give me some yummy chicken. Cars and new sounds can be a little scary for me too, so I'll need someone to help introduce me to new things and show me all the great things in life! My favorite thing to do is play soccer - kick the ball for me and watch me (and my ears) bounce with excitement! I also love sniffing and exploring the trails here at FOHA. Because I'm still learning how to be confident in a world of uncertainty, I will do best in a home without children. This is the sweetest dog I have ever owned/met. She is my best friend and her name is Lucy. She is 8 years old, born August 6 in 2018. Nothing is wrong with her at all, but I just can no longer afford to take care of her properly in the way she deserves. My husband has recently graduated from college and has been job hunting for months with no luck as of late. I am a stay at home mom who is currently expecting our second child very soon, so we have found ourselves drained financially, physically and emotionally. SHE IS NOT A HUNTING DOG. She is a spoiled princess and an indoor dog who loves attention and to give you love. She also loves playing with toys and going on long walks. I love my girl, but I know she will live a better life in the care of someone else and it’s truly what she deserves. Please, reach out to me if you are serious about owning this sweet girl and if you are experienced with dogs. I desperately want to find her a safe and loving home. Price is negotiable.

This sweet handsome boy came to Mutt Love from a NC shelter where they euthanize dogs who are in the shelter longer than days.  Ranger deserved a chance at a happy life and a loving home so we made him part of the Mutt Love family.  Ranger is estimated at about 2-3 years old currently weighs about 55 pounds, although he does need to put on a few pounds.  Ranger is heartworm positive and is beginning treatment soon at our vet. He would benefit from being in a foster home during treatment to help make things easier on him.  **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org.
