Story
I'm Tilly! Two years old and 55 pounds, 23 inches of knee-high perfection. I’m stocky like a beagle but I don’t howl, and I am sprinkled with the most gorgeous multicolored spots, and yes… I’ve been told I’m simply beautiful. I humbly agree. 😉 Toys are my love language. Especially squeaky ones. Give me a basket and I’ll curate my own play session, bouncing from toy to toy like it’s my job. Frozen Kongs? Elite. Chew sticks? Absolutely. Keeping my brain (and jaws) busy makes me very happy. And I am becoming an expert at my new fave - puzzle games! During the day I like to go, go, go - I haven't yet gotten the memo that dogs are supposed to sleep a lot 😀 - but in the afternoons and evenings, I power down like a champ and settle in for cozy naps. And I sleep through the night (outside my crate!) and have had just one oops — and honestly, that was a scheduling mix-up with my foster humans. I’m basically house-trained royalty. And of course given my likely heritage I love to run the yard with my nose in the air, catching scents like the little explorer I am. Adventure is my middle name. I can't use my words so I can't say specifically how I was raised, but all of us at my foster house are pretty sure I was a hunting dog who totally missed out on my puppyhood - so I am soaking up the world with joyful enthusiasm and making up for lost time. I’m still polishing a few skills in my foster home aka finishing school — we think this is my first rodeo with being a family dog, so I am still perfecting my house manners. But I’m getting better every day. I’m smart. I’m eager. I want to learn. I just need someone patient, kind, and ready to guide me. The best part? I absolutely adore my people (hugs and pets are THE BEST), and I am great with other dogs. So if you’re looking for a freckled, fun-sized explorer with a playful heart and a whole lot of love to give, I’m your girl. And remember - life’s just better with spots. 🐾 Tilly is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. Story
https://foha.org/pet/ozzy2021/ Howdy! I'm Ozzy! I'm a handsome boy who is getting to know the world. A lot can be scary for a dog like me who hasn't had a lot of experiences in the real world. I'm shy at first but will warm up quickly if you give me some yummy chicken. Cars and new sounds can be a little scary for me too, so I'll need someone to help introduce me to new things and show me all the great things in life! My favorite thing to do is play soccer - kick the ball for me and watch me (and my ears) bounce with excitement! I also love sniffing and exploring the trails here at FOHA. Because I'm still learning how to be confident in a world of uncertainty, I will do best in a home without children. If you'd like to get to know me a little better, submit an application and we can set up a time to meet. Hope to see you soon!! KNOWN LIKES: kisses, people, dogs, cuddler- KNOWN DISLIKES: ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Tony is a soulful 2-year-old hound with the sweetest eyes and an even sweeter heart. Weighing about 50 pounds, Tony has been through more than his share — he ended up in a high-kill shelter after likely being abandoned when he didn’t make the cut as a hunting dog. But despite it all, Tony has remained gentle, loving, and quietly hopeful for a second chance. Tony is: ✅ Great with other dogs – friendly, respectful, and easy to have around ✅ Housetrained – no messes, no stress ✅ Loves people – affectionate ✅ Quiet and easygoing – no excessive barking, just peaceful companionship This boy has a calm presence and a heart full of love. He’s happy to curl up beside you after a walk or just relax and soak up the peace of home life — something he’s been missing for far too long. Tony doesn’t need much — just a safe place, a soft bed, and someone to love him. After surviving the odds at a crowded shelter, he’s ready for a fresh start. His foster says the following: He is a sweet, not aggressive dog who defers to other dogs and plays well. He loves a stuffy toy! He comes when called, is affectionate and is happy to be petted. He is learning to live in a house with new noises and smells and rules. He listens well and knows “no” and walks well on a leash after some initial excitement. He has a funny personality with a small vocal moan when he is ready to go to sleep! He grins and has a cute way of sitting with a paw lifted up like he is waiting for someone to shake his paw!! He goes into his crate and doesn’t cry or bark. He loves running and exploring the woods (in a fenced yard) and comes back to the door once he has finished roaming. Smart boy!! Story
Pearl is a beautiful young momma who loves her baby and grooms him and other dogs throughout the day. She knows her name well and responds when called. She is house trained, leash trained, loves walking and being outside, and has a laid-back personality for the most part, but alerts you with her beagle bark. She is very athletic, as well. She is great with people and really enjoys getting pet and having someone to snuggle. She has seen cats thru the window, and it seems like she would give a wild chase, so maybe cats are a no.    Adoption fee: $525, includes all shots, sterilized, heartworm negative, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have.
