Story
Meet Pearl! A beautiful 2-year-old Weimaraner who’s on the lookout for her forever home. Pearl was surrendered with her two pups, but they’ve already found their families, and now it’s her turn to shine. While she can be a bit nervous around new faces, once she trusts you, she’ll be your best friend—ready to curl up in your lap for all the love and attention you can give. This sweet girl has a lot of love to offer, but she’ll need someone patient to help her feel comfortable and safe in her new environment. Pearl is also a very athletic dog with a curious nature, so she’s not shy about jumping fences if given the chance. A secure yard would be essential for her. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’ll adore you once she gets to know you, Pearl might be your perfect match!

Story
So my foster mom named me Jager (after one of her favorite drinks... JagerMEISTER....) I am not sure why I remind her of drinking... but I definitely prefer a name and a foster home with food EVERY DAY and LOVE with ALL KINDS OF STUFFED TOYS to starving on the streets....so call me whatever you want foster lady, I am OK with it!! I am a busy boy, with the most SWEET nature. I LOVE toys and other dogs and would really be best in a home with a playful friend and kids too? I even like kitties!!! I will promise to be a good boy and love you as much as you will love me :) I am a Weimer/hound mix we think!!! Hard to tell my breed mix, I have the most GORGEOUS SILVER fur but it is very hard to identify what my mom was and what my dad was.... we generally call it San Antonio Street Special- and I am SPECIAL! ADOPT ME, I AM WAITING FOR YOU, I can even bring my OWN TOYS TOO :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hola!! Mi amo Winona, como esta??? I am doing pretty well! Except I am still looking for my furever family.... :( I was found as a very very young puppy, with my siblings on the side of the road. No one knows where my mama is... unfortunately in the south LOTS of "people" would rather kill the product of unaltered female and male dogs than actually just get them spayed and neutered......... and very likely that is why we were left so carelessly on the side of a road at 2 weeks old.... just to die... Anyway, off my soapbox because so so many people and rescues in the south are working hard to overcome stupidity and do the right thing so it doesn't happen to other pups! I am a sweet and really gorgeous girl. My siblings and I looked very pittie and weimaraner size/temperament and personality wise. I have a gorgeous apricot colored coat with some blonde highlights (the kind you get at a fancy hairdresser :), mine were FREE :) I am now 3.6 yrs old and in my maturity I have stopped all the puppy antics- no chewing, barking, digging, peeing or pooping all over the place for me!! i am well mannered, will hang out with you while you work and then we can go for a walk or a run and then binge watch Masterchef (I LOVE ME some GORDON RAMSAY!!) until we get sleepy! That is my ideal day, so if you are down for hanging out with me all the time, fill out the adoption application and just give me happy and loving home please!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Lou Lou – A Beautiful Soul Ready for Love!  Lou Lou is a stunning 50-pound, 1-2 year old Catahoula mix with a beautiful smile and dancing eyes that invites you to make friends with her.  She was originally an abandoned girl who was found alone in the middle of a storm, searching for safety. Now, she’s looking for something even more precious—a forever home where she will be loved and cherished. With her blue merle  coat that is stunning and her soulful eyes, Lou Lou is as gorgeous on the outside as she is on the inside. She has a sweet and affectionate personality, melting into belly rubs and eagerly snuggling into your lap. Once she knows you’re her friend, she’ll stick by your side like a loyal shadow, offering endless love and devotion. At about 18 months to 2 years old, Lou Lou has plenty of energy and a playful spirit. She would thrive in an active home where she can run, explore, and learn about all the joys life has to offer. While she can be a little shy at first, she just needs some patience and encouragement to build her confidence. With love and gentle guidance, she will blossom into the amazing companion she is meant to be. Lou Lou is still learning about things like walking on a leash and being an indoor pet, but she is eager to please and will flourish in a home that continues to show her kindness and guidance. In many ways, she is like a puppy—a clean slate ready for training, adventures, and a lifetime of love. Lou Lou has been spayed and is up to date on all vaccinations. She is ready to find her forever family—a patient, loving home where she can continue to grow, trust, and be the incredible dog she was always meant to be. If you’re looking for a beautiful, affectionate, and loyal companion, Lou Lou might just be the perfect match!  Contact us today to learn more about adopting this special girl!  Please get in touch with us at Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in possibly adopting this special girl. Story
My name is Robbie and I am puppy at heart and only 6 months old.  My pictures make me look big but ready I am not big at all. I only weigh 35 pounds at 6 months and they say I will be 65-70- pounds as an adult.  I LUV KIDS!   My heart leaps for joy when I See children that I can play with and love on.  I am a boy that loves to run fast and for a little bit of time too.  I need not only physical Exercise but also some fun games and training games to help my smart brain feel challenged too.  I need a fenced yard and someone To help share playtime and games with me sometimes.  I could use the company of another dog as well to help me with the physical Playtime outside and also to keep me active with socialization with other dogs.   We think that Robbie has some Pointer in him since He raises once leg and seems to point quite often during this outside playtime.  He is alert and very smart.   He walks pretty well on a leash and he is curious to learn more things about life.  He is not inside a lot so we would have to say that he could be housebroken fast if given some one on one Attention and training.  This boy is good with cats, dogs and adores children.  He never meets a stranger and he will needs a fenced yard To best live within safely and to run and play for long hours if the weather is good.  We want a wonderful dog savvy and loving family for Robbie.   He will be a 65 pounds boy when fully grown we think.   If you are interested in knowing more about Robbie please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Mention where you live.  We transport from Nashville, TN where we are based and we travel to the Northeastern region as well with our pre-adopted dogs.   Thank you for considering this precious boy   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 30, 2024, 2:10 pm

Story
Rye is searching for her forever home as the only animal so that she can soak up all the attention from her humans! RYE'S STORY FROM OUR DIRECTOR: Rye was brought up to the DMV Region from a Texas shelter in 2020. I was working for another rescue at the time, running the transport/foster program, and offloaded her myself when she arrived. She fit into the palm of my hand she was so small and only a few weeks old. She was adopted immediately, incorrectly labeled as a chihuahua mix. Unfortunately, 7 months later, her family returned her due to the combination of the pandemic and how "big" she got (she's only 40 lbs but they were expecting an 8 lb Chi-Mix!). Unfortunately from there, Rye was bounced around from foster to foster and boarding facilities until 2021 when the previous rescue felt it was best to euthanize her. I couldn't let that happen so I adopted her with the intention of finding her a home! I renamed her to Rye (named for the kind of whiskey) and started working on training with her. She was our first intake when I co-founded Laila's Legacy in 2023 and we've been working to find her a home since then. RYE IN THE HOME / HER PERFECT FIT: Rye has the funniest personality. She's got energy, bounciness, and is so inquisitive. She's also insanely smart. The latter is a blessing and a curse because she learns training so quickly, has great recall (although I've never allowed her to be off-leash just long-lines for hikes/walks), and learned leash walking skills very quickly. On the flip side, she needs a lot of mental stimulation to keep that big brain happy! I've found it really can be a mix of things to do that though - sitting outside on the stoop to people watch from my house, sitting in a park with her practicing neutrality (and getting treats of course) while I read, practicing all her tricks, working on recall on a long-line, playing tug/fetch, brain games and puzzle toys, you name it. Anyone that is excited to go on walks and spend time with their dog - have a companion - will love Rye. She just wants to hang with her humans and get some mental stimulation while she does it. In late 2021, Rye started urinating in her crate. An odd behavior because she's very potty trained and crate trained. In early 2022 she had a seizure and it was then we discovered she was having mini-seizures causing her to urinate in her crate. Unfortunately, they do still occasionally happen but she takes a once daily med called Keppra which is easy to get from Chewy and she LOVES peanut butter so she takes it every day without issue. I've seen the crate urination drastically reduce and when I was working from home full-time it was non existent because she was hanging with me outside of the crate so much. Rye's intelligence comes from her breed - likely Catahoula or some sort of herding breed. That's where her prey drive comes from as well so she'd prefer a home without cats! When it comes to her relationship with dogs, she loves to play. She'll play with mine and have a grand ol' time romping around with them. Because of her herding tendencies she's been muzzle trained as well for playing and has a cute bright pink muzzle for when it's needed and she wears it with ~style~. In the home, Rye will guard her items from other dogs. This could include food, toys, bed, etc. so for her sake we recommend she not go to a home with dogs in it. But honestly, that will also be a win-win because she LOVES her humans so fiercely and wants to be your companion that it'll let her have all the one-on-one time she and her future owner will love. Rye has been through a training program and her trainer loves her. Rye's future forever family will be connected with that trainer for a "Rye 101 Course" on her training and are highly encouraged to do more sessions and continue to build her education! While I adore Rye with my whole heart, and have been honored to spend so much time with her, it's time for this sweet gal to find her forever home and get OUT of the rescue world! She deserves to be the spoiled queen she wants to be and I can' t wait to see that for her! Please check out her video at here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3Oz8dKkj64 ------------ Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained.
