If you are looking to adopt a dog that has gone through full obedience training and willing to work with the trainer to continue and follow through with his training then apply today. He is being trained in the DFW area for introductions/inquiries. ##1948147##

Story
Clark is a 4-year-old, 78-pound, neutered male and a giant sweetie with a lot to say.  He came into rescue as a reactive, blustery street fellow, and with good socialization and a lot of work (including the help of a trainer), Clark Griswold has come a long way! Clark sings when he is excited getting ready to go for a walk.  He does well on the leash, and is a handsome runner.  His foster family has taken him running up to 8-miles, and it’s like an easy cruise for Clark.  Mr. Griswold would love to be part of your neighborhood HOA and lay down all the laws about speeding, he has worked with his foster to work with him to ignore passing cars while on the run or walk and is getting much better.  Walking with treats has helped reinforce good behavior. Mr. Griswold just finished his third vacation trip to Colorado with his foster family. He did well in the car with chew bones for distraction.  He had lots of off leash time running in the National Forest doing dog stuff like chasing chipmunks and baby grouse, and had excellent recall the entire time!  This dog is not a runaway risk and just wants to please and hang out with his humans. Clark loves toys, tearing them apart, but has never turned his attentions to destroying anything else in the house.  He will happily busy himself with a Nylabone or deer antler.  He is highly food-motivated, will surf the counters if left unsupervised, and has never met a snack without his name on it.  He currently has a male foster brother, and they wrestle and play together now.  It took a little bit of time to adjust and get to that point but he is great now.  Clark is house trained and uses a doggy door.   He does well when left out in the house while his humans are gone. The ideal forever home for Clark would be a family who can appreciate his energetic Labrador-like style and continue building his manners.  Clark loves to play tug with his toys and wrestle with his human.  He is a big dog who doesn’t yet recognize how to tone it down for little humans, and while he does well with his foster family’s 11yo kiddo, he might be a lot for a younger child. He is being fostered in the San Antonio area if you are interested in adopting him. ##1887637##

Story
Schultz is an active, gorgeous 2-year-old, 65-pound, blue Weimaraner that is looking for his forever home.  Schultz has been through training and behavior modification due to not getting along with other dogs.  He also has been treated for heartworm disease and is done with his rest and ready to run.  Ideally Schultz would be best without other dogs, although there is one tri-paw girl named Dahlia that he is best friends with at the boarding facility and is also available for adoption with him if a family would want to adopt them both.  Her pictures are in his profile. He loves people, is crate trained and housebroken, and knows all his commands, loose leash walking, and place.  Since Schultz is very active, his best home would be one without small children. If you are interested in fostering/adopting please submit an application.  He is currently in the DFW area. ##1612840##

Story
Meet JuneBug (formerly Kimber), a charming 4-year-old, 55-pound, Weimaraner with a heart full of love and a personality that's sure to steal yours. This lovely lady is the epitome of a velcro dog, always eager to lie at your feet and keep you company as you work from home. She does display hip dysplasia and can do the splits better than any cheerleader! She is crate-trained (although some separation anxiety) and walks wonderfully on a leash. She enjoys doing check-ins with you during walks, adding a touch of sweetness to your daily strolls. Her hip dysplasia gives her a unique little hop when she walks or runs, making her even more endearing. Initially a bit skittish around men, JuneBug has blossomed into a calm and sweet companion who adores her people. She has grown to love her walks and gets excited when it's time to go out, making every outing a joyful experience. JuneBug is great with other dogs and kids, making her a fantastic addition to a family. While we are unsure of cats, her gentle nature suggests she could adapt with time and patience. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate friend who will always be by your side, JuneBug is the perfect match for you. She is being fostered in the DFW metroplex if you are interested. ##1972759##

Story
Max Alan is 4-year-old, 70-pound gray Weimaraner who has been very open and friendly toward visitors ~ both men and women.  Of course, he gives everyone the obligatory sniff and requests to be petted by going to their side, leaning on the person and looking up as if to say, “Well, what are you waiting for?”   Max is housetrained and dog friendly, but also is your typical Velcro boy that likes to be close to his favorite person. Max has been through heartworm treatment and all the rest periods and will need to be retested in 6 months to verify he is heartworm negative. Max likes to snuggle with his head on your lap or lay next to you. He is comfortable in his kennel.  He lets you know when it is dinner time or potty time.  Max likes car rides especially with his head out the window.  We take him weather permitting.  He has a good appetite and really enjoys a stuffed kong! Suffice it to say, Max will be a loyal addition to any dog loving family.  He has been a joy to have in our home.  He will certainly be a joy to whomever is his forever family. He is being fostered in the DFW area if you are interested. ##1908354##
