Story
Lolo is a 2.5-3 year old weim mix, but 100% velcro dog and weim smart. You won't meet a more affectionate pup. He constantly wants to give kisses, hugs or a shake. Fully expect for him to follow you room to room if you're his lucky person.  He hops when excited (often), and nothing makes him happier than seeing his leash out to get ready to go for a jog. He does need more work on the leash for pulling - especially if there's a squirrel in sight! Harness is strongly recommended.  Lolo is gaining confidence and learning how to play with both toys and other dogs. He is dog friendly, but can get overwhelmed with too many dogs at once. He's great with groups of people though, and is small kid friendly. Cats are unknown.  Lolo would do best in a home with a work from or stay at home person. He took to house training quickly, but he does experience separation anxiety. He's not destructive when left loose, but would strongly recommended a travel crate or barrier when driving.  He gets very excited, and wants all 68 lbs of him to be on your lap while driving.  He does appear to have some allergies to monitor, but hasn't met a treat he didn't like if any medicine is needed, or in general.  He is being fostered in San Antonio if you are interested in adopting him. ##2521623##

Story
Romeo oh Romeo.  Romeo is a very handsome 4 year old male coming in right around 80lbs. Although he is a Big boy he would love to lay in your lap at night when it’s time for snuggles. During the day he loves to play with his foster siblings outside. His favorite activity is digging holes while hunting lizards under rocks. He is dog door trained. It would be best for him to have access to outside when needed.  An ideal home for Romeo would have other dogs for him to wrestle and hunt with as well as a nice property for him to explore. He has always been with at least one other dogs and does great in a pack environment. He is not the alpha and likes to just go along. He loves to explore and go on adventures. He has a great nose and will bring home all sorts of special gifts such as animal remains or armadillo shells.  If you give him the opportunity to be naughty he will. He will counter surf if items are there as well as get into trash if he can open it. Does great unsupervised, not in a crate, with sibling as long as food and trash are secured. If crated use caution with his tail. He has an unaltered tail that likes to bleed on the tip when constantly hitting the crate or wall.  Romeo is in the San Antonio area if you are interested in adopting him. ##2418299##

Story
Meet Booray! Booray is a sweet 13-year-old senior boy who is a treat-motivated dog and who listens well and responds nicely to leash guidance. He quickly picked up basic commands like Heel and Sit, even with distractions nearby, showing impressive concentration and willingness to learn. Booray thrives with positive reinforcement and is eager to please. Booray has some hearing and vision impairments, so he relies heavily on his sense of smell. He can be startled if approached unexpectedly, especially when resting, so announcing your presence with his name and a clap is recommended. Because of this, Booray would do best in a home without children. He’s learning crate training and has shown little anxiety so far. Booray is also working on being comfortable with having his collar touched, and responds well to gentle, reward-based desensitization. While Booray may be a bit nervous with strangers at first, he warms up quickly—especially if treats are involved! He’s friendly and gentle when taking treats, though he can get a bit snappy if another dog is too close during treat time. Booray’s foster notes that he’s scared of storms, so a thunder coat or medication like Trazodone may help him feel more secure during bad weather. Booray is looking for a loving, patient home where he can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy plenty of treats, training, and affection! He's located in Dallas if you are interested in adopting this senior boy. ##2401169##

Meet Ringo! Ringo is a sweet, energetic boy with a big heart and a playful spirit! He loves to “talk” to let you know what he needs — usually that it’s time for a potty break, dinner, or playtime. Ringo isn’t a fan of being crated and may rub his nose trying to get out, so he’d do best in a home where he can have a comfy spot of his own instead. When he first arrives somewhere new, he’s full of excitement and curiosity — but once he’s checked everything out, he settles right down and loves nothing more than curling up in your lap for cuddles on the couch. He’s wonderful with kids, though because he’s still learning how strong he is, he’d be happiest with a family that has older children. Ringo is a little mischievous (as all smart pups are!) and will explore anything left within reach, so a watchful eye is best. This outdoorsy guy absolutely loves being outside and going on adventures. He’s a bit unsure around other dogs for now but shows curiosity toward cats without chasing them. Ringo would thrive with a family who can give him a little training, lots of love, and room to play. With his affectionate nature and goofy charm, he’s sure to make a wonderful addition to any home! He is located in San Antonio if you are looking to adopt him. ##2437365##

Meet Mickey — Your New Best Buddy! Mickey is a 2.5-year-old, 70-lb sweetheart who is equal parts goofy, loyal, and loving. His favorite thing in the world is being close to “his person” — he’ll happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. If you’re looking for a shadow with a wagging tail, Mickey is your guy! This energetic boy would love a dog friend to play with and help burn off some zoomies. He does well with crate time as long as he has a buddy crated nearby for comfort. Mickey is still working on a few manners — like chewing, counter surfing, and learning to “drop it” (especially when something delicious is involved!). He’s not aggressive at all, but he does have jaws of steel, so sometimes you have to help him let go. With toys and chew bones, though, he does great! Mickey loves outings to the park, going for walks, and experiencing new adventures. He’s a fantastic car rider who settles quickly and might sneak in a kiss or two while you’re not looking. He adores toys of all kinds and is learning how to share them with his dog friends. Mickey is a happy, affectionate companion with lots of love (and some silly quirks) to give. If you’re looking for a playful, devoted, big-hearted boy to join your family, Mickey can’t wait to meet you!  Mickey is being fostered in the Houston area if you are interested. ##2518879##

Ready to come home for the holidays! Belle is 6 years old and comes with her AKC paperwork.  She's a great house and outdoor companion with medium exercise needs. House trained, Belle happily lounges in the home when you are away, and will be in your pocket when you return. Belle is on the taller/ heavier side and is comfortable on a leash or off. Belle doesn't care to share her space with small animals or cats, but loves little kids.  Belle is trained with basic commands and will look for a handler who can provide consistent training. Belle is a fearless part of the cattle farm where she fosters and doesn't react negatively to livestock or overhead birds.  She is located in the San Antonio area if you are interested in adopting her. ##2552387##

Story
Meet Demi, a charming 4-year-old Heeler mix who is eager to find her perfect forever home. Demi is a wonderful companion with a gentle spirit and a playful heart, and she is ready to share her love with the right family. Demi is dog-friendly with proper introductions and has a special knack for helping other dogs come out of their shells, showcasing her nurturing side. She is crate trained and enjoys the safety of her crate, especially during thunderstorms, where she finds comfort. Demi walks beautifully on a leash and loves to engage in games of chase, whether she's the one chasing or being chased. With a personality akin to an introvert, Demi thrives with structure and boundaries, which help her feel safe and build trust with her humans. She has a low to medium energy level, making her easy to be around, while her great pack drive allows her to form strong bonds with her family. Although she is friendly and listens well, she takes her time to warm up to strangers, which adds to her endearing nature. Demi is playful and has a sweet demeanor, always eager to partake in life's adventures. She loves the great outdoors, especially hiking and exploring new environments. Additionally, she is treadmill trained, providing an excellent outlet on extra hot or cold days. Demi would do best in a quieter home with older children who can respect her gentle nature and allow her the space to thrive. If you're looking for a loving, playful companion who brings joy and stability, Demi could be the perfect addition to your family!

Story
Hi there, I’m Maya!!An 8-year-old gentle soul with dreamy blue eyes, pointy ears, and a heart that’s ready to settle right into yours. I’m a true “people dog” — I live for my humans and thrive on cuddles, companionship, and quality time together.I like to think of myself as a one-and-only kind of gal. Other dogs are nice and all, but I really shine when I can soak up all the love, belly rubs, and attention for myself. Don’t worry — I’ve got more than enough affection to give in return. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will adore you endlessly, curl up beside you, and make every day a little warmer… I just might be your girlFOSTER REASON: Fospice- I’m currently recovering from what my veterinarians believe was a severe case of IVDD (disc disease). The good news? I’m doing really well and making steady progress! I still need some extra rest and a calm, cozy space while I continue healing, and my vets would like to keep a close eye on me since this can sometimes be a recurring condition.Because I’m part of the Fospice program, the SPCA of Texas will cover my medical care and supplies for as long as I need — all I’m missing now is a loving home where I can relax, be pampered, and soak up the affection I so deeply deserve.Email foster@spca.org to learn more or to schedule an appointment to pick me up!
