Story
Discover Bee: Our Gentle Soul in a World of Constant Wonder Bee has a heart full of love and a touch of quirk Loves: Predictable routines, the companionship of other dogs, her special selection of toys, and the serenity of a peaceful environment. A Little Shy: With new experiences and loud noises. Bee's Unique Journey - Living in a Familiar Yet Ever-New World: Like the captivating story of "50 First Dates," Bee's life is a beautiful blend of comforting routine and gentle discovery. Her soft, expressive eyes tell a tale of a loving soul who finds joy in the familiar and navigates the new with cautious curiosity. Bee's Daily Adventures: Each day for Bee is a quiet journey through well-loved paths. She finds solace in the predictability of her daily routines, from sunlit morning play to evening snuggles. The company of other dogs is always a delight, as she engages with a shy but genuine playfulness. Her toys, though few, are cherished companions in her tranquil world. Bee's Gentle Approach to Life: While Bee may tread carefully around new experiences and prefers the quietude of her environment, her approach to life is a lesson in finding beauty in simplicity. She reminds us that there's comfort in routine, and even in a familiar world, there's always something new to cherish. Bee’s Playful Side: In the safety of her known surroundings, Bee's playful nature emerges. She might cautiously approach a toy as if it's a new discovery each day, bringing a smile to those who know her well. Bee’s Philosophy: "Life doesn't have to be loud to be full of joy. In the whispers of the familiar, in the quiet play with friends, and in the gentle discovery of everyday things, there's a world of wonder waiting to be appreciated."Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 1:42 pm

Story
Meet  Tator.  He is a 7-year-old Weimaraner mix.  He’s a big boy that currently weighs 115 pounds (he’s working on getting that number down some to get his summer body ready).  He has so much love to share with a family.  He has a heart of gold and his ears are as soft as silk.    Tator enjoys walks, soaking up some sun light outside (preferably with you around), car rides, and hanging out on the couch watching TV or baseball.  He’s not big on playing with bones or toys but does play with them occasionally.  No worry about toy fluff being spread around the house, because he knows how to take care of his toys.  No matter what, he just wants to be with his people like a typical Weim.  Tator is currently living with a foster family that has 2 dogs.  He is usually found hanging out with them unless he leaves the room to come find you.  He gets along great with his current fur siblings (they are not small dogs) and there haven’t been any issues at all between them.  However, based on some previous interactions with a dog in his former home it is recommended that he be adopted out as an only dog.  No one was home at the time so not really sure what caused the issue.  He has been such a perfect gentleman from day one with his foster family.  He is not a big barker, but will alert you if he see’s something “suspicious”.    He does like to chase squirrels in the back yard, but if you tell him not to and to come in the house his listens.  He enjoys bouncing and running around in the back yard and if there’s a dog next door he’s happy to run and investigate but again he’s not a barker.   He will wait patiently while you make his meals and takes treats and cookies with a very soft, gentle mouth.  No snatching from this boy!  He also sleeps on his bed through the night until you’re ready to get up.  Right now he has someone home with him most of the time but has been left uncrated in the house for probably 4-5 hours and he just sleeps and hangs out with his foster siblings waiting for you to come home.  He is being fostered in Houston if you are interested in applying for him. ##1290830##

Story
Mac (MacDaddy) is an 89-pound, 7-year-old, gray male Weimaraner that is a solid boy, but thinks he's a chihuahua.  He's velcro and loves to lean on you.  If you pet and scratch him he'll be your best friend.  He is a goofy boy that is a bit like a bull in a china shop.  He can come on strong with his size and would do best in a family with older kids and good leadership. Mac loves to party.  He is crate trained although he's been rubbing his nose on the crate a little bit.  He knows some commands, but he decides if it's worth it to use them. Mac is dog, kid and cat friendly. He is being fostered in the DFW if you'd like to consider adopting him. ##2293648##

Story
Hunter is a 50 lbs bundle of love and is about 1.5 years old.  He LOVES his humans and just wants to please you and make you happy. He was found in an industrial area begging for food. He would be best as an only dog and in a home with older children.  Donate at codysfriendsrescue.org to help us save more lives! https://codysfriendsrescue.org/donate ##837585##

If you're a Weimaraner lover with a heart (and yard) big enough for boundless energy, Ernie might just be your perfect match! Ernie is bursting with goofy charm and puppy exuberance. He loves to fetch, is incredibly affectionate, and thrives on companionship—he’s the ultimate Velcro dog who wants to be by your side all day long. This boy is strong, bouncy, and full of zest, often forgetting his size and personal space. Ernie does know some commands and listens—he’s just got tons of puppy energy to burn. He’s a social butterfly with other dogs, showing no aggression even when others get snappy with him. He’d love a playmate and plenty of opportunities to romp around. However, apartments are not the right fit—Ernie needs space to run and daily exercise to keep his mind and body happy. Ernie’s ideal home: Experienced with the Weimaraner breed Has a fenced yard and an active lifestyle Will commit to continued training and boundary-setting Has other playful, friendly dogs (a bonus!) Ernie's journey has been nothing short of remarkable. Found on the streets emaciated and fighting to survive, Ernie has made an incredible recovery in foster care — and through it all, he's remained the sweetest, happiest guy you could ever meet. Despite his rough past, Ernie is easygoing, affectionate, and just wants to be close to his people.  If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion with a gentle soul and a heart of gold, Ernie is your guy. After everything he’s endured, he’s more than ready for a second chance and a lifetime of love. Story
As Vader enters his later years, the cuddly force is strong with this one. He's an 8-year-old gent who still has plenty of energy to play and bring joy to his forever family, and will chill, too. He's a master with kids. Vader will play with other dogs, too, and enjoys a wide range of toys. He's awesome in his crate, on a leash, or riding in a car. He's not a fan of cats - those rebel scum - so it's best to keep them on the farthest edge of the galaxy. For now, he's on a limited diet, so treats are verboten (but he is a fan). He can be a bit of a couch potato, but all the better if his people are sitting next to him. This beautiful boy will thrive in a family with other dogs, or even as the center of the universe. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. You can view all adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallaspetsalive.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/.
