Story
Hey! I’m Jules — A 1-Year-Old Goofball with Energy to Spare and Love to Share! At 68 pounds of wiggly young pup energy, I’m still figuring out the world one zoomie at a time! I’m always up for an adventure and love meeting new people. I’d do great in a home with older kids who can match my playful vibe and help me keep learning all the good stuff. When it comes to other dogs… let’s just say I come in like a wrecking ball! I’m all about high-energy, bouncy play and love to wrestle with other pups who enjoy the same kind of rough-and-tumble fun. I’ve got a big personality and a bigger play style, so playful dog friends are a must!I’m working on my manners, getting better every day, and I’m looking for someone patient and fun to help guide me as I grow into the awesome dog I’m meant to be. Health-wise, I’m doing great! I just prefer to meet my vet ahead of time before any actual appointments—helps me feel more relaxed and sets me up for success. If you’re looking for a lively, affectionate, and all-in kind of pup, I’m your girl. Let’s play, learn, and grow together—I can’t wait to meet you!I am a spayed female who is microchipped, heartworm tested and fully vaccinated. My adoption fee is $85, which can be paid with cash, card, or by check! Feel free to visit the shelter Monday through Friday 11am to 5pm and Saturdays 10am to 2pm.

Story
Meet Beau: The Jovial and Trainable Senior Weimaraner Beau is a sweet, 10-year-old Weimaraner with a friendly and jovial personality—especially when treats are involved! He’s highly social and forms strong bonds with other dogs, showing some anxiety when separated from his canine companion, Booray. Because of this, Beau would thrive in a home with another dog for company. While Beau is generally confident, he does get nervous during storms. A thunder coat and possibly trazodone may help him feel more secure during bad weather. He’s also showing great promise in training, responding well to leash pressure and beginning to learn the Heel command. Although he has some trouble sitting due to hip discomfort, he’s highly trainable and would benefit from full obedience training to boost his confidence and independence. Beau is still working on his potty training and may mark or urinate indoors, possibly as a reaction to another dog in the home. He needs a clear routine, crate training, and positive reinforcement for going outside. With consistent guidance and structure, Beau will quickly learn the rules and become a well-mannered companion. Overall, Beau is a loving, adaptable dog who will make a wonderful addition to any family willing to invest in his training and provide him with the companionship he craves. He’s ready to bring joy and loyalty to his forever home! ##2401230##

Story
Lolo is a 2.5-3 year old weim mix, but 100% velcro dog and weim smart. You won't meet a more affectionate pup. He constantly wants to give kisses, hugs or a shake. Fully expect for him to follow you room to room if you're his lucky person.  He hops when excited (often), and nothing makes him happier than seeing his leash out to get ready to go for a jog. He does need more work on the leash for pulling - especially if there's a squirrel in sight! Harness is strongly recommended.  Lolo is gaining confidence and learning how to play with both toys and other dogs. He is dog friendly, but can get overwhelmed with too many dogs at once. He's great with groups of people though, and is small kid friendly. Cats are unknown.  Lolo would do best in a home with a work from or stay at home person. He took to house training quickly, but he does experience separation anxiety. He's not destructive when left loose, but would strongly recommended a travel crate or barrier when driving.  He gets very excited, and wants all 68 lbs of him to be on your lap while driving.  He does appear to have some allergies to monitor, but hasn't met a treat he didn't like if any medicine is needed, or in general.  He is being fostered in San Antonio if you are interested in adopting him. ##2521623##

Story
Meet JuneBug (formerly Kimber), a charming 5-year-old, 55-pound, Weimaraner with a heart full of love and a personality that's sure to steal yours. This lovely lady is the epitome of a velcro dog, always eager to lie at your feet and keep you company as you work from home.  She does have mild hip dysplasia, and she has a unique little hop when she walks or runs. She is crate-trained (although some separation anxiety) and walks wonderfully on a leash. She enjoys doing check-ins with you during walks, adding a touch of sweetness to your daily strolls. Initially JuneBug was a bit skittish around men, but has blossomed into a calm and sweet companion who adores her people. She has grown to love her walks and gets excited when it's time to go out, making every outing a joyful experience.  JuneBug is great with other dogs and kids, making her a fantastic addition to a family. While we are unsure of cats, her gentle nature suggests she could adapt with time and patience.  If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate friend who will always be by your side, JuneBug is the perfect match for you. She is being fostered in the DFW metroplex if you are interested. ##1972759##

Story
Meet Riley! A soulful almost five-year-old Weimaraner mix currently in Downers Grove, IL, whose sleek black coat and intelligent eyes are just the beginning of his charm. With a heart full of love and a brain brimming with smarts, Riley is a true gentleman who thrives in peaceful, predictable spaces where he can nap, play, and bond deeply with his humans. Riley’s ideal day involves a long walk (he’s got a graceful trot and loves a good sniffing adventure), a cozy nap with his beloved giant fluffy bone pillow (affectionately known as his “support pillow”), and some interactive play with his favorite chew or pull toys. He's a big fan of routines. He’s fed twice a day, knows all the important commands like “sit,” “wait,” “take nice,” and even “walk nicely,” and is fully crate trained and house-trained. At 83 pounds, Riley is a gentle pup who adores companionship. He’s especially drawn to adults and older kids, forming strong bonds and staying close to those he loves. However, life in a home with young children has proven to be too overwhelming for this sensitive boy. The noise, sudden movements, and constant unpredictability of toddlers have made it difficult for Riley to fully relax. While he’s always been sweet and gentle with the little ones around him, the environment has increased his anxiety to the point where he struggles to settle, even when nothing else is wrong. In quieter homes, like when staying with his human grandma or a trusted sitter, Riley transforms into a calm, relaxed, and content pup, showing just how much a peaceful setting means to him. Though he currently takes Fluoxetine to help manage anxiety, his caregivers believe he could eventually taper off in a calm, stable environment. He’s shown great social skills with other dogs and enjoys spending time at his sitter’s home alongside seven canine friends. He hasn’t had much exposure to cats, but he’s never shown aggression of any kind. He’s all about love, loyalty, and serenity! If you're an experienced dog lover looking for a loyal companion who will follow you from room to room, offer you soulful gazes during movie nights, and match your pace on daily walks, Riley may just be your perfect match!
