Story
My sister passed away end of July 2025. We've been trying to find a home for Emma since. She's about 7 years old now. She was fully up to date on her shots until they expired August 2025. Emma loves humans and loves getting attention from them. She's fully house broken. If a dog is friendly, she will get along with them well. If a dog is big and looks aggressive, she will hide behind you. She is the kind of dog that will happily chase a squirrel if you let her. She does seem to have some anxiety tendencies, as she will whine for a little bit if you're leaving her all alone. And she is so happy to see you when you come back home.

Story
Romeo oh Romeo.  Romeo is a very handsome 4 year old male coming in right around 80lbs. Although he is a Big boy he would love to lay in your lap at night when it’s time for snuggles. During the day he loves to play with his foster siblings outside. His favorite activity is digging holes while hunting lizards under rocks. He is dog door trained. It would be best for him to have access to outside when needed.  An ideal home for Romeo would have other dogs for him to wrestle and hunt with as well as a nice property for him to explore. He has always been with at least one other dogs and does great in a pack environment. He is not the alpha and likes to just go along. He loves to explore and go on adventures. He has a great nose and will bring home all sorts of special gifts such as animal remains or armadillo shells.  If you give him the opportunity to be naughty he will. He will counter surf if items are there as well as get into trash if he can open it. Does great unsupervised, not in a crate, with sibling as long as food and trash are secured. If crated use caution with his tail. He has an unaltered tail that likes to bleed on the tip when constantly hitting the crate or wall.  Romeo is in the San Antonio area if you are interested in adopting him. ##2418299##

Story
Meet Booray! Booray is a sweet 13-year-old senior boy who is a treat-motivated dog and who listens well and responds nicely to leash guidance. He quickly picked up basic commands like Heel and Sit, even with distractions nearby, showing impressive concentration and willingness to learn. Booray thrives with positive reinforcement and is eager to please. Booray has some hearing and vision impairments, so he relies heavily on his sense of smell. He can be startled if approached unexpectedly, especially when resting, so announcing your presence with his name and a clap is recommended. Because of this, Booray would do best in a home without children. He’s learning crate training and has shown little anxiety so far. Booray is also working on being comfortable with having his collar touched, and responds well to gentle, reward-based desensitization. While Booray may be a bit nervous with strangers at first, he warms up quickly—especially if treats are involved! He’s friendly and gentle when taking treats, though he can get a bit snappy if another dog is too close during treat time. Booray’s foster notes that he’s scared of storms, so a thunder coat or medication like Trazodone may help him feel more secure during bad weather. Booray is looking for a loving, patient home where he can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy plenty of treats, training, and affection! He's located in Dallas if you are interested in adopting this senior boy. ##2401169##

Story
Meet Ringo! Ringo is a sweet, energetic boy with a big heart and a playful spirit! He loves to “talk” to let you know what he needs — usually that it’s time for a potty break, dinner, or playtime. Ringo isn’t a fan of being crated and may rub his nose trying to get out, so he’d do best in a home where he can have a comfy spot of his own instead. When he first arrives somewhere new, he’s full of excitement and curiosity — but once he’s checked everything out, he settles right down and loves nothing more than curling up in your lap for cuddles on the couch. He’s wonderful with kids, though because he’s still learning how strong he is, he’d be happiest with a family that has older children. Ringo is a little mischievous (as all smart pups are!) and will explore anything left within reach, so a watchful eye is best. This outdoorsy guy absolutely loves being outside and going on adventures. He’s a bit unsure around other dogs for now but shows curiosity toward cats without chasing them. Ringo would thrive with a family who can give him a little training, lots of love, and room to play. With his affectionate nature and goofy charm, he’s sure to make a wonderful addition to any home! He is located in San Antonio if you are looking to adopt him. ##2437365##

Story
Vincent - Our Diamond Dog Ready to Shine in His Forever Home Say hello to Vincent, an approximately 1-year-old Catahoula mix weighing 56 lbs who has officially earned his Diamond Dog status. That means he has been a shelter resident for 90 days or longer - and his adoption fee is now just $75. Vincent has the looks that turn heads and a personality that fills the room. Found near Corporate Crossing in Rockwall on 11/22/25, he was microchipped, but sadly his owner was never located. Since then, he's been patiently waiting for his second chance. Still very much a puppy at heart, Vincent is full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for life. He's smart, playful, and thrives on interaction and activity. With continued training, structure, and positive outlets for his energy, Vincent is going to grow into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. Vincent is looking to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the attention and fully bond with his people. He would also do best in a home without cats. Think of him as a one-pet household superstar who wants all the love - and all the toys - to himself. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on his rabies, DAPPV, and Bordetella vaccinations. After 90+ days of waiting, Vincent is more than ready for his forever family. Vincent as of 02/20/26 is now a Diamond Dog. If you're looking for a fun, energetic, one-and-only companion who will keep life exciting and your heart full, Vincent may be your perfect match. Diamond Dog Adoption Fee: $75 Apply to adopt Vincent here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Let's help this Diamond Dog finally find the home he deserves.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Meet Ripley! Ripley is an approximately 7 year-old female German Shorthaired Pointer mix who is now looking for a loving forever home. She was found running loose on Anna Cade Drive on 3/7/26 and, sadly, no one came forward to reclaim her. Now Ripley is ready for a fresh start with a family who will cherish her in her golden years. Ripley is a gentle, calm, and incredibly sweet girl who has quickly won the hearts of the shelter staff. She enjoys meeting new people and happily accepts pets and attention from anyone willing to share a little love. She also walks nicely on a leash, making her a wonderful companion for relaxed strolls and quiet time with her people. Because Ripley is still new to the shelter, we are still learning how she does with other dogs. If you currently have a dog at home, a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption to ensure everyone gets along well. Ripley's adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccination, and boosters are to date. She did test positive for heartworms but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, her treatment is sponsored. If you have any questions or concerns about Ripley's heartworm status, please feel free to ask RAC staff. If you're ready to give this sweet girl the loving home she deserves, please submit an adoption application here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Ripley may have a little silver on her muzzle, but her heart is full of love and ready for her next chapter.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
