Story
Quigley is a fun little terrier mix, about 10 pounds and close to 3 years old. He is full of energy, vibrant, cuddly, and guaranteed to make you smile every time you look at him. Quigley is just the right size to curl up in your lap, be held in your arms, or travel along with you on visits and adventures. He is easygoing, good with people and other dogs, and although he hasn’t been introduced to cats yet, we think he would likely do fine with them too. This sweet boy is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and current on his shots—ready to start his new life with a lucky adopter. Quigley is the kind of companion who will quickly become your best friend. His adoption fee is $475 If you are interested, please email us at alphadogpetrescue@yahoo.com to request an adoption application. We are looking for someone committed to giving him the time and love he needs to settle into his forever home. Currently in foster care near Victorville CA and will need to be met and picked up there.

Hershey is a very sweet lil dog who just wants to love and be loved. My parents are older now and cannot provide the attention and support required to have a pet. Hershey is low maintenance but I am afraid that he is not getting the walks and attention he so badly desires.

Story
Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Age: 8 yrs. Weight: 7 lbs. Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: unsure Good with kids: unsure Energy level: unsure Good with men/strangers: yes Hypoallergenic: no Special home requirements or medical: needs at least one other dog in the home Additional info: Cherry came to us from a pretty horrific hoarding situation where she was being kept with many (many) other yorkies. They came to us matted, filthy, scared but so brave and hopeful. Since coming into foster care, we have found that Cherry is an absolute sweetheart. She is usually pretty chill but does gets zoomies at times! She loves to greet her human and is so excited to see you when you are home. She is great with other small dogs and, given her history, should be in a home with at least one other dog. She is learning the basics of obedience training, but this tiny gal is smart and eager to please. We can't wait to see her thrive in a forever home! If you are not ready to adopt just yet and would like to help in other ways, please consider clicking on the green “Sponsor Me” button above to help this dog receive the best care we can give. Story
Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Age: 7 yrs. Weight: 9 lbs. Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: unsure Good with kids: unsure Energy level: unsure Good with men/strangers: yes Hypoallergenic: no Special home requirements or medical: none Additional info: Mimi came to us from a pretty awful Yorkie hoarding situation where many (many) small Yorkies were being kept in awful conditions. She was thin, dirty, matted and scared when she arrived but has been groomed and vetted and blossomed in foster care! Mimi is a sweet dog that loves cuddling with her person. She begins shy but warms up in time and will seek playtime and pets from you. She’s currently being fostered with another dog (about 20lbs) and they have become besties — giving each other kisses, bathing each other, and chasing one another! She hasn’t shown an interest in toys yet but is loving a variety of treats. While Mimi is interested in other dogs, she is nervous and will need time to warm up. Stairs are an adventure for her — she can go up the stairs but going down them is still a work in progress. She’ll allow you to pick her up but is eager to be back on the ground. She will alert you when someone is at the door. She may whine or bark when she is left alone but not excessively so. A few weeks after we rescued her, Mimi had a tremor. We started her on CBD oil daily which has kept her tremor free in her stable, calm foster home. She has not had seizures ,only 2 incidents of shaking for several minutes each. She's the cutest gal in a tiny package ready for love! Story
Slushy is an 8-month-old, 10-pound Yorkie mix. He’s new to rescue and still recovering from a broken leg, but even in his first week after surgery, his happy, playful spirit is shining through. Right now, Slushy is on crate rest so he can heal properly, which isn’t always easy for such an energetic little guy. He’s still very excitable and loves seeing his foster siblings, even though we’re helping him stay calm while he recovers. He enjoys chews and teething toys, which help keep him busy during his downtime. When he gets breaks from crate rest, Slushy loves spending time on the couch with his foster family and soaking up affection. He’s social, sweet, and full of life. He’s been doing great with short potty walks and continues to improve each day. We’re still getting to know Slushy, but so far he has been nothing but loving, resilient, and full of charm. With continued healing and patience, he’s going to make an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a little pup with a huge heart and the cutest recovery glow-up, Slushy might be your guy!
