Though dear sweet Max and Ziggy came into Adopt Me Rescue from the same home and get along beautifully together, they do not have to stay together. Max is a 12 year old, 7 lb, Yorkie mix, very charming, quite a low-key little guy. Like most Yorkies, he can be a little bossy at times and when he wants something, he wants it NOW! He is housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, sleeps beautifully through the night and except for when he sees a squirrel or raccoon Max is not a big barker. Max is fine with cats and is very laid back when meeting new people. Max is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Hi I'm twinky. nice to meet you. i'm a 13 year old yorkie who was dropped off at a shelter by my previous owner in rough shape. i am overweight but working on losing it thanks to my wonderful foster. i don't bark b/c my previous owner removed my vocal chords. i also have a collapsing trachea so i need to wear a harness, take medication and live a calm and quiet life. I am darling and kind and enjoy the company of humans and dogs *would probably be fine with cats too. I can be shy but that is less so the more comfortable i get. I have a good appetite and i am house broken. i can't wait to meet you please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet. Pancake is such a sweet and gentle soul with the absolute cutest little personality to boot! These lovely babies were found in a box miles from any houses out by the pistachio trees, thank goodness someone saw them and stopped or these babies would’ve faced terrible challenges. We have them healthy, happy and up to date so they are now ready to take new adventures!!

Meet Leo- He is sweetest little old man you have ever encountered. Leo came to YROA through a good Samaritan, who literally found him in the street. He was emaciated, filthy matted, and covered in ticks. Poor Leo also had a rotten mouth. He was not neutered, and we believe had been used as a puppy mill breeder. Leo is also blind, and we have no idea how he survived on the streets The good Samaritan, who found him reached out to us to see if we could help. We had him take Leo directly to our vet. He was given a medicated bath and shaved down. The vet took over 50 ticks off of him. He was also given a medication to kill any other fleas, ticks and their eggs. He had full labs, vaccinations, a Microchip, a dental and a neuter. He lost his 16 remaining teeth. With all of that and God knows what else he endured before he was rescued, Leo is nothing but pure joy. He’s a happy guy who has learned his way around his foster mommy’s home and will go to the potty outside if taken out regularly. He does have an occasional accident if left too long as he cannot see the pee pads and hasn’t quite figured that out yet. He does know where the food and water bowls are and his favorite bed. He loves to wander around the yard and smell the flowers. Supervised of course. He’s also amazing in the car and sits happily in the booster seat. He loves to cuddle and is in complete gratitude about all he is receiving. What a happy little guy. Leo is ready for his forever home and deserves a wonderful final chapter. I also love being with my human & going for walks. I’m house trained & will go to the door to let you know when I need to go out. I get along well with other dogs, there are 3-4 others in my foster home at all times. I was rescued from the shelter and have been to the vet. Oakley was found at a homeless encampment when he was taken to an animal shelter where I acquired him. I’ve had him about 2 years. Overall he has a nice personality but he is a very needy animal. He has anxiety and a skin condition that requires medication. He does have food aggression probably due to being homeless. He tends to bark a lot when people come near the front door and bedroom door. He may be able to get along with calm dogs if they don’t bark much, but is scared of cats. I’ve recently had hip surgery and have back issues where I’m unable to properly care for him. He really needs someone who is able to give him the attention he needs and able to pay for his hefty medical expenses.
