Story
Ferris is a six-month-old, loving, but timid puppy that would thrive in a home that would be loving, tender, and playful. He is possibly a Yorkie mix. He is a little shy and skittish at first, so he would do better with kids who understand not to scare him. He does warm up once he is comfortable. He enjoys being around people and other dogs, big or small as long as they are willing to have a tag along. He   has shown to be pretty calm, but still loves to play. Ferris would do better in a home with another dog that would help him feel safe or a family that makes him the center of attention. His adoption fee is $375.  Put in an application at eapl.com April 22, 2025, 6:37 am

Story
Bentley is a 1-2 year old Yorkie (Maybe mix? We aren't sure) weighing about 8lbs.  Bentley was dumped at a shelter in Texas where he was absolutely terrified and shut down.  The shelter knew he wouldn't make it out of there alive unless they found a rescue partner to take him in.  How could we say no to such a sweet little soul, just begging for a chance and some safety.  Bentley made his way to CO where he was welcomed into our foster program with the most wonderful foster Momma.  He was completely shut down at first but has started to really come out of his shell.  He was so nervous of everything the first week, but with the patience from his foster, and the guidance from the other four-legged foster siblings he quickly started to learn and grow.  He is now much more comfortable on a leash, loves to snuggle in the house, gets along great with the other dogs and cats, and even loves to play with toys now.  It's the cutest thing, he will take the biggest toy in the house and try to run around with it, fumbling over it and rolling around.  He is such a happy guy now, and it happened in just two short weeks, it has been so fun to watch.  We do expect he will regress a little when he moves to his forever family, so his forever humans will have to give him the patience to grow and gain the confidence he now has.  He would do best in a home with another dog to keep learning from as well.  He is just the sweetest, cutest little guy and makes every humans heart melt when they meet him.  He has so much love to give, he just needs someone with patience and unconditional love to give it to. Story
Little Luke is a super sweet boy, who loves nothing more than to play and be with you! He is a bit shy at first but is full of cuddles and love once he gets to know you!!! He does great with other dogs in her foster home, is non reactive around cats, and is doing great with crate training. Since he is just a youngster still, he will need a family with lots of patience and willingness to work with puppy training to help him become the best canine citizen he can be!

Story
Please allow me to introduce Junie. She is 8ish. I am posting her age as 8, as no one knows her exact age. Junie is undoubtedly a misunderstood Yorkie. She is spayed and weighs 11 lbs. Junie spent most of her life in a kennel used for breeding. Someone adopted her from the backyard breeder at one point, but that did not work out. Then, the new owner contacted RMYR, and we graciously took Junie into our care. She was perfect. She was adopted after she had had a complete dental. That too did not work out for the family. Junie then returned to me because they had a petite Yorkie, and Junie attacked her. Junie must never be in a home with another dog smaller than her. She does exceptionally well with dogs her size or bigger. Junie has never bitten a person. In due time, she wants to please her owners. Junie has been doing wonderfully in our home with our Yorkies. She is extremely shy at first and must gain your respect, which will take at least two weeks. Please be patient with her and give her the time to trust you. She eats well and is housebroken. We let our Yorkies and Junie out several times a day with supervision. None of our Yorkies are left unattended to roam outside. Junie sleeps through the night in our bed with two other Yorkies without a peep. Junie is in perfect health, with no cataracts or hearing issues. She also has zero issues with running, playing, or jumping. Her vaccinations are due in May, and we will provide them prior to adoption. We are requesting a stay-at-home adult and a fenced yard. Per our website, no children under 10 and Junie must NEVER be kept in a kennel again.
