If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi! My name is Yoli, and I am a sweet Yorkie girl who is was born 6/23/17 and I weigh 7 pounds. Story
Meet Chili, a feisty cuddly loveable Yorkie.  He is a neutered male, 8.4 lb, 9 years old (young),  and ready to find his forever family.  He is soooooo adorable     Hi - So here is the deal, if I could use English words I would probably tell you I have not had the best, loving life up until now.  I am a gorgeous, very spry (way more spry than many younger than me) 9-year-old Yorkie-boy looking for a fun-loving, patient female. I am definitely more of a girls man BUT I will tell you-if my favorite human in the house is not available, I will snuggle up to a male. I am scared and really need a girlie who wants a pup that truly wants you but just needs a slow hand. I act like I have not been held much at all, petted or groomed but I can tell it feels good-it is just scary!   Right now I am hanging with several foster doggies of all sizes and doing great. However, I have a beef with one of them that loves to get super rowdy with my foster mom. (I swear he acts like he wants to eat her and I want to save her. She promises me he is only wanting to play with his toy). But guess what, I only have one very cute, crooked tooth-how much can I do with that. I sleep all night in my kennel but I would love your bed more. I have learned how to go in and out of a very big doggie door but I lack the confidence to go out by myself. I am healthy as can be, out of the destructive puppy phase and love to go for walks. I can promise you I can help you get into or stay in shape  Just take a look at me-how much cuter can one pup get!!   Put in an app eapl.com My adoption fee is $375  May 9, 2024, 10:01 pm

Story
Peeka is a lovely spayed little girl who is a mix of Yorkie and Wired Hair Terrier. She is seven years old, weighs 10 lbs., and is full of love. Peeka is current on all her vaccinations. She is house-trained and crate-trained and loves sleeping in bed with you. She is very active. Sweet little Peeka was left outside without supervision and wandered the streets in Greeley, within her neighborhood. Peeka is a little bundle of love who adores attention and snuggles with her humans. She especially loves going on her daily walks and lets you know when it's time to go. Peeka practically puts her harness on herself! Once she settles down in her new home, which, with all Yorkies, it takes at least two weeks before she feels comfortable in her new home. She loves belly rubs and treats. She gets along with children, but other dogs are not her favorite; therefore, she would be better off being the only dog in the household. We are requesting a stay-at-home adult or one who works from home. She must have a secure fenced yard. Peeka loves being outside, but with the Colorado predators, one must always be outside with her. No apartment, Condo, or Townhome for this little one.

Story
Rusty is a 9(ish) year old adorable little man weighing about 10lbs.  Rusty is a spicy little boy and we could not be more obsessed with him.  He was adopted from us a couple years back and he really ruled the roost in his home.  The couple was older and they just wanted a dog to lay around with them all day and he was not that dog.  He became sassy, and while the wife absolutely loved him, the husband said he had to go.   Since Rusty had absolutely no training while he was with them we decided to board and train him to get his big personality under wraps and to get him the training and exercise he deserved.  Since Rusty did our board and train program we are going to require he goes to a family who will take our training classes so they can learn everything that Rusty has learned. It is 100% free to the adopters which is an amazing deal, for people who want to learn more about dogs and how to help them succeed!  Rusty is an awesome little guy.  He loves to go for walks and he can be very talkative.  He lots to trot around the yard with a big smile on his face.  He is an adorable little oldman and will bring so much joy to his forever family! If you are interested in Rusty, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##1773501##

Story
If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Remi is the pup you want to have around! Remi, at 6 months old and 9 lbs is just naturally a lover, and when he looks at you with those dark, expressive eyes and sweet smile, your heart just has to melt. Remi is a beautiful and sweet as can be Yorkshire Terrier / Cairn Terrier mix with all the traits that make these super- smart and personality-plus dogs very popular and beloved breed mixes. Farfel's received a plea from Rescued Pets Movement in Houston to save the life of Remi who was scheduled for euthanasia due to a lack of space. They described this Terrier mix as wonderful, sweet and just about perfect in his temperament and loving personality. We were thrilled to accept the wonderful Remi into our rescue. Remi is a cuddler and snuggler all the way! He loves to to cuddle close on the couch for TV watching, belly rubs or just hanging out with his favorite people is just about perfect for this sweet best friend. An occasional kiss from Remi, once comfortable in his new home, is inevitable. He's a sensitive and very kind dog who derives so much joy from his time spent with his favorite people and his doggy friends. Remi is a young, playful and silly pup who will love his family with all his heart. He would enjoy another gentle dog to play with, although it's not necessary if his family is involved and present. Remi will have so much fun exploring, and taking long walks and hikes along Colorado's gorgeous paths and trails. Hiking and socializing with other hikers is right down this friendly and active guy's alley once he's comfortable in his new home. Remi is always open to new activities with a never-ending positive attitude...just say the word and up Remi jumps for a car ride, a fun backyard game or just a sociable walk around the neighborhood. Remi's rescuer had the following to brag about this sweet guy: Remi is an extremely affectionate and loving dog! I would love to see him in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loving and sweet pup. Id hate to see this social guy left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. He seems too sensitive for that type of arrangement. Remi's Texas foster mom share the following with us: There's lots of tail wagging when Remi is around. He's such a happy and positive guy once comfortable in his environment. You can't help falling in love with his sweetness and kind ways...his joy is contagious. Remi loves going on long walks or being in my backyard exploring is just about perfect for this curious pup.. He's wonderful with other dogs that he's met and will enjoy their company in his forever home.I can say without reservation that Remi will be an excellent companion and best friend for a dog-loving family. Farfel's would like to see Remi in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. A virtual or in-person positive reinforcement training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important to the future behaviors of every dog that we're unwilling to adopt Remi out to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Remi's non-shedding or lightly shedding hair will require a lifelong commitment to periodic baths/brushing and excellent nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are great lifelong protocols for coat care and general health) to keep his hair cottony-soft and very healthy. Remi has been fully vetted and vaccinated to be in line with Farfel's commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. He has also been neutered to support Farfel's commitment to zero population growth in the canine world. Remi will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Wednesday Wednesday 5/8/2024. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet, loving and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Remi please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Harry, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Looking for a new buddy! Harry may just be your guy! Harry is an adorable scruffy pup with lots of personality. Harry loves belly rubs, kisses, and cuddles. From Harry's Foster: * * * * I LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY! He's so friendly, rolls over for belly rubs, and gets along with everyone he meets! * * * * Harry is coming to Farfel's Rescue from a small shelter in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He was picked up as a stray and brought into this tiny shelter, that we have worked with for years. When we were reached out to to help sweet Harry, we couldn't resist. Harry is around 5 years old (as per the vets) and is only 4.8lbs. He is believed to be a Yorkie / Chihuahua mix. Harry would be a wonderful companion for an individual, a family, or active retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with this irresistible pup that's beautiful both inside and out. Harry's nature is to be a very happy boy who represents the joyful attitude of both his breeds. Harry will do well with any loving guardian who's invested in spending time with their pup. He's so pleasant and portable that he can be a part of any adventure. It can be a leisurely walk socializing with neighbors, a picnic in the park or a visit with family or friends. At day's end, a spot on, or beside the bed all night next to his favorite humans will speak to the loving nature of this little dog. We'd like to place Harry in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Harry has been fully vetted, is up to date on vaccines, and arriving neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.
