Story
Lovable Lenny – this one year old, 6 lb bundle of love, fun and entertainment is a true gem of a guy.  He’s a Chorkie, mom is a Chihuahua and dad is a Yorkie.  Lenny is always  in a good mood, ready for the next adventure.  He is only ONE year old, tiny, happy go lucky and an ideal lap/cuddle boy. His owner became ill and could no longer care for this sweet little boy. He luckily landed with Critter Cavalry Rescue and a wonderful foster mom who took him in and has been getting him neutered and updated on all shots, Heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped. The next step is to now find the perfect home that will love him forever so that he does not have to move around ever again.  He is very adaptable and can fit in with any environment and as they say, can hang with the best of them.  Fine with other dogs, cats and seems to be very easy going with children.  Make note that we would prefer older children due to Lenny’s delicate size.  He uses the puppy pad, but foster mom is working on housebreaking and a schedule he can rely on.  His former human was not physically able to walk him, so he is accustomed to puppy pads.  Lenny is adapting to all the new changes and living with a mom who is patient and showing him the rules and how to live a more active life with someone that is not handicapped and limited with taking him on walks or outside to the bathroom.  Lenny deserves a vibrant family and home that is active and ready to take him on adventures in life.  This little guy is smart and only wanting a stable life filled with love and the best of things that a young, small dog could expect.  If this is what you want to give Lenny then please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.  Lenny is ready NOW to make a change in his life that is good and secure PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 23, 2024, 11:27 am

Story
Cutie Patootie Tilly is an 8'ish-year-old, 15-pound yorkie-terrier mix of epic cuteness with a side of sweet sassiness.  She is fostered with two senior pups and has been fine and tries to get them to play with her.  Tilly loves toys and enjoys lounging with her Foster Dad during the day.  A previous dog owner is ideal to adopt Tilly.  Tilly enjoys lounging around during the day and walking around her neighborhood.  Check out a cute video of her here! She is good on the leash and enjoys riding in the car.  Tilly is house and crate trained.  Tilly was found as a stray, so we don't know anything about her background.  She takes daily, inexpensive thyroid medicine. Tilly is quite a darling diva. Tilly is fostered in Alexandria, VA.  To learn more about Tilly please email us at adoptme@cockerspanielrescue.com.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 23, 2024, 12:13 pm

Story
Jackie is a super friendly girl that really likes attention but can also settle down quickly after the initial excitement wears down. She has free rein of the home and is non-destructive when left alone (on average about 6-7 hours a day). She lives with 3 other small dogs and gets along well with all of them. I am not sure about cats or kids but I feel like she may be ok with both. She sleeps in my bed at night along with the rest of the dogs! I have not crated her at all. When Jackie came from the PG shelter, she was missing fur in several areas that is thought to be from allergies. We are currently managing that with Apoquel and medicated baths and it seems to be helping but this may be an ongoing expense. Her coat will require brushing and periodic grooming. She gets the zoomies a few times a day which only last for a couple of minutes but are hilarious to watch (I would love to see her do an agility course because she is lightning fast!!). I have not seen her play with any toys unless someone throws one for her and then she doesn’t bring it back..lol. She LOVES to look out the window for hours on end and will bark to let us know if she sees anything outside. She usually gets the whole pack barking but quiets down when the “offender” has left her view. I have not seen any food aggression from her but she will steal food from another dog if it is on the floor. Because of this, I feed her in a closed room. She doesn’t know any commands but is very food motivated so it would probably be easy to train her. She is easily corrected by just telling her no. She is pee pad trained but does potty outside every time she goes out so could probably be easily house-trained. She walks great on leash and is non-reactive to other dogs or animals. She rides perfectly in the car so would be easy to take on adventures! She would be a great first dog because she is such a go-with-the- flow kinda girl. I think she would fit well in any home. My Profile Age: I'm about 5 years old Weight: I weigh 9 pounds, but need to put on a bit more weight Good with kids: Unknown Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Fenced yard: Preferred Suitable for townhouse and/or apartment: I could live in a townhouse, but not an apartment House trained: Mostly Crate trained: No Barks when left alone: Not sure. Chews inappropriate items: No Training: Looking forward to training class! Activity level: Medium Meet Me If you are interested in Jackie, consider letting us know by filling out a (no-obligation) adoption application at pgspca.org. Please consult our Adoption FAQ before contacting us. Please check the adoption-show-attendees page to see if Jackie will be attending the next adoption show. NOTE: We are an all volunteer group and do not operate a shelter. All of our animals are in foster homes. We are unable to place our animals outside of the Baltimore/DC area.
