Meet Shania, our beautiful little comeback girl — and just like her country music namesake, she’s ready for a brand-new chapter filled with love, understanding, and the right environment to truly shine. Shania is a sweet JRT/Westie mix girl who is happy, lively and just 1-year, weighing just 12 pounds. Her look is a charming wiry coat paired with an absolutely darling personality. She enjoys leash walks, watching the world go by, and will happily investigate any squirrel bold enough to cross her path. She’s wonderful with other dogs, cats, and is friendly with men she meets out in public. Inside the home, however, Shania needs a very specific setup to feel safe and secure. Due to something in her past, she becomes protective if a man lives in the home and believes she must guard the woman she loves. Because of this, Shania needs a female-only household with no men living in the home. In the right environment, she relaxes, settles beautifully, and shows just how loving and joyful she truly is. She is currently working on potty training and does well using potty pads, and with continued consistency, she will keep improving. Shania is small, affectionate, and full of potential — she simply needs the right person who understands her and is willing to give her the peaceful, predictable home she deserves. Maggie is a happy-go-lucky little girl who loves to fetch and gets along with other dogs (she is currently living with two) and is also good with cats. She was found as a stray but quickly got attached to her foster mom. She does get excited and barky when someone comes for a visit but she will settle down after the initial excitement wears off. She sleeps through the night (on the bed) and waits for her foster mom to wake up. She's a small dog with legs made for walking, but she does need to learn better leash manners--she is so happy and ready to go that she wants to pull on the leash. Her foster mom says: "Maggie is fun, sweet, smart, and very teachable. Someone with a little patience initially will be really rewarded."

📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. 🩷 Rescue Story Ongal was admitted to "Jeongeup City Shelter" in very poor condition, with her coat badly matted and tangled. She spent her days clinging to the shelter environment, clearly overwhelmed. Thankfully, she was rescued before things worsened and moved into a foster home, where she has been able to recover both physically and emotionally. In a safe setting, her bright and lively personality has begun to shine. 🌿 Temperament & Behavior Ongal gets along well with other dogs and is currently living harmoniously with a Pomeranian and a Pomeranian mix. She enjoys canine companionship and would do well in a multi-dog household, especially with dogs of similar size or age. With people, she needs only a brief moment to warm up—after about ten seconds of observation, one treat is usually all it takes for her to become friendly and engaged. Her compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. 🚶 Walking & Daily Life Ongal may pull slightly on the leash at first, but her walking is easily manageable and improves quickly once boundaries are clearly communicated. She responds well to guidance and understands verbal cues. Her shedding level is moderate, around 5 out of 10. She has no food allergies and eats very well. She strongly prefers outdoor potty breaks and will often hold her bathroom needs if she doesn’t get a walk. 🏡 Habits & Training Ongal is comfortable with grooming and does well during baths and professional grooming sessions. She does not have separation anxiety and is crate trained, staying calm and relaxed even when separated in her own space. She may bark briefly when deliveries arrive, but she settles down quickly afterward. She rides well in the car and does not experience motion sickness. 💛 Likes & Personality Ongal loves tug-of-war games and enjoys running and playing with her dog friends. She does not like sudden approaches, so calm and gentle introductions are best. A home with other dogs of similar size or age would be a great match for her. Sassy is sweet, and not at all sassy! Rather, she is even-tempered and calm. Her foster says that Sassy is housetrained and likes to follow her around, so she knows where she is at all times. Sassy is a older girl who loves to be at home with her person, but is also comfortable being left for a bit so she can rest and take a welcome nap! Sassy enjoys walks and adventures, including car rides. Her foster says that Sassy needs to be able to look out the window on her rides! Sassy is a bit of a finicky eater, who prefers soft food over kibble. That is the only instance where Sassy makes her desires known. Outside of her desire for soft food, Sassy is easygoing, quiet, and very happy to have her person/people around. Sassy does not sleep in a crate and she is happy to doze on the floor or a sofa. She is okay with her person being in and out, or out of the home for a time. However, Sassy will likely do best in a home where there is someone is around consistently. Meet Titan! Titan is the sweetest Yorkie gentleman with eyelashes that will melt any heart and manners better than most people on their best behavior. Because his humans are military and being stationed in Asia, he landed at Miri's Haven with one goal: to find a family who will adore for him as much as they have. Titan has been deeply loved and well cared for, and it shows. Titan is affectionate, happy, loving, patient, and smart. He loves treats, being close to his person, and being showered with love and attention. When he's excited, he spins in circles of joy, and should you be momentarily distracted from adoring him, he'll paw at you in the cutest way to get your attention back on him. Titan is looking for a forever family where he will be loved like the little king he is. He wants to be included in daily activities, given endless snuggles and attention, and taken for lots of walks and fun adventures. He would thrive the most in a home that is generally calm and quiet, has a fenced yard, and can provide him with structure and a regular routine. In return, he promises to alert everyone promptly whenever someone is at the door. Titan is mostly housebroken (he uses pee pads indoors), a great passenger in the car, and sleeps through the night (his preference is in bed snuggled up with his people). He's great on the leash, great with kids and other dogs, and doesn't mind staying home alone when his humans have to pop out - though he would love his humans to be home most of the time. Because Titan has Protein-Losing Enteropathy (PLE), he needs a forever home with a family who understands his medical needs and is committed to providing the care and attention he deserves. PLE is a condition where the body loses protein through the gastrointestinal tract, and while serious, dogs like Titan can live full, rich lives as long they receive consistent treatment and monitoring. Titan currently eats a prescription hydrolyzed protein diet to help his body absorb nutrients and takes daily medications, including cyclosporine to reduce immune-mediated inflammation and prednisone to help control his condition. He feels great day to day and has improved significantly since starting treatment. His adopter will need to commit to continuing his medications and special diet long-term, and ensuring he receives regular veterinary care and monitoring from an internal medicine specialist. Titan needs a family who will treasure him again and help him live his best life. In return, he will give more love, snuggles, and joy than you can even imagine.
