Story
Meet Bentley! Bentley is approximately 7 years old, 12.5 lbs currently and he likely has some Yorkie in his mix! Bentley and his son Bartley were surrendered due to his owner`s health issues. In his foster home, he is working hard on his house-training, has no experience with crate training, and is doing fine with leash walking. He could go to a home with teenagers, and possibly other calm dogs. He has not been exposed to cats. Ideally he would like to stay with Bartley. No apartments, please! His foster says, `Bentley is a sweet boy! He`s fairly calm. He likes being a lap dog. He is non-destructive. He likes to run around in the fenced in yard looking around and taking care of his bathroom duties but likes to come back to you every little bit for pets and to be held. He would make a great addition for some lucky family.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on May 19th. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
