Story
Are you a patient person? Do you enjoy quiet days of lounging around? Have you been wondering what you can do to make a difference? We have the perfect dog for you! This lovely girl's name is Dump Truck, affectionately called Dumpy. She is an 8 month old spayed female chorkie (yorkie/chihuahua), and she is a very special pup. Little Dumpy needs some help learning that people are not so scary. She is very quick to duck away and hide when you approach her, and is still learning how to walk on a leash. We know Dump Truck has a sweet side, and she just needs one special person to help bring it to light.Due to her fearful personality, we will be placing Dumpy in an adult only home. She has never been exposed to cats, but we don't see why she couldn't live with a friendly cat that won't bother her. She has shown interest in small dogs her size, making us believe she may like to live with a friendly, confident dog that can help show her how to "dog"! Do you think you are Dump Truck's special someone? Follow the steps below to meet her!Our shelter is open every day from 12-4, closed on Mondays. If you are interested in this pet, please call us at 978-452-7781, email info@lowellhumanesociety.org, or stop by the shelter to request an adoption application.

Story
Marley is an adorable, sweet, and affectionate boy who adjusts so easily to everything, he just goes with the flow! He is great with kids and gets along well with other dogs. He can be with dog friendly cats. He will chase cats but a good hiss will put him right in his place. He is very content just hanging out with his people but he is also outdoorsy, he used to go on lengthy hikes with his owner. He is comfortable on kayaks, canoes, and boats but is totally happy with just a walk if that’s all you’re up for. Marley does great on leash, he requires a harness as Yorkies are prone to tracheal collapse. Marley is mostly potty trained. He’s been going out every four hours and does great. He will use pee pads. Marley knows some tricks too!! He’ll jump through a hoop and he also sits on command. Marley is current on vaccinations, microchipped & is neutered. If you are interested in adopting Marley please apply on our website www.coaldr.org. Please note - Marley is located in Massachusetts & is available for a meet & greet

We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
