Story
ojo is a little seven pound doggie who is three years old and he's losing his home. His person is moving out of state and she has had a health issue and needs to give up her two pets. Jojo and her cat Aaron. Jojo likes other small dogs and cats and we'd love to find them a home together but we know that might not be possible. We are looking for a home where someone is home and not working out of the house or works opposite schedule from others in the house so he's not home alone waiting for his person or people all day or night long. He'd love another small dog to hang with. We are looking for a non smoking home. If you would like more information call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email me your phone number to marlas2468@yahoo.com

Story
Roxie~born~May 2013Special BreedI’m a diva. THERE! I SAID it!! And I’m proud of it! And I will LET you KNOW it! AND I will NOT STOP NAGGING you until I get what I WANT!! And I MEAN IT!! (My foster mom used to squirt water at me to “bring me out of it”, as she puts it, but now she just shows me the bottle, and I stop.)She squirted WATER at me!! Like I’m a CAT!! There’s a few of those here. I’ve let them know how I feel about THEM! Stupid things. When I got here, boy, I was MAD!!! For a whole WEEK I was mad! So mad that my foster mom gave me my OWN bedroom, with a screen door on it so I could get use to the other critters. Every time she came near me, I’d try to chew off her TOES!! She had to keep a leash on me so she could get me outside. And she had to pick it up QUICKLY, because I’d try to BITE her. But she’s really kind. And I was getting lonely, so I asked her politely if I could come out of my room and have her hold me. And, of course, she said yes (but she was a bit scared). She still kept my leash on me, just in case, but one morning she took a chance and QUICKLY unbuckled it. And I didn’t try to bite her.I’m from Florida. Oh, FLORIDA!! Where it’s ALWAYS warm…and sunny…not like Michigan, where it’s been cold and grey and rainy. I had a great life with my mom in Florida, but she died, so I went to live with her granddaughter here in Michigan. But she couldn’t give me the life she felt I deserved, so she was brave and gave me to PAAW so I could find another home. And I was SO MAD!!!It’s nice here at my foster home. I made some friends (but there’s another girl dog here that I don’t like, so I start fights with her). AND…I have a boyfriend! ooOOoo!! He’s a Yorkie. Like me. I still have my own bedroom . (Sometimes he comes in my bedroom with me, hee hee hee.) My foster mom tried moving my crate and my soft bed (it’s my very own, the one I had when I moved here) out of the bedroom, but I didn’t like it. So she moved me back into the bedroom. When I want to go there, I ask her politely (I can be NICE when I want to), and she lets me in. Sometimes I go in because I’m tired. Sometimes because I want to be alone. And sometimes because I’m in a BAD MOOD. And then I SULK! With my BACK to the DOOR! Sometimes when I’m in a bad mood, she sings my name to me over and over. And it calms me.I’m 10 years old. I don’t know my birthdate. I’ve had babies (cuz I’ve got boobies!).

Story
MEET ROXY:MEET ME AT Wag N' Wash ON SATURDAY, 12/14 FROM 10a-2p4918 N Adams Rd Rochester, MI 48306 Age: 3 yearsBreed: Yorkie-Poodle mixWeight: 12 lbs Roxy was rescued from a life of commercial breeding and is now safe and ready to find her loving forever home. Her rescue is made possible through a wonderful collaboration between the Bissell Pet Foundation and National Mill Dog Rescue. Sadly, she is missing her right rear foot, which may be due to an injury from her past or a birth defect. Despite this, she does not require any special treatment and navigates her environment like a champ! Roxy is a sweet and affectionate girl who is incredibly thankful to be in a home environment. She thrives on social interaction and loves being around people. Her joyful spirit and loving nature make her a delightful companion! Requirements: Fenced Yard: While Roxy is learning leash manners, she would greatly benefit from a fenced yard to help reinforce her house training and provide a safe space for her to play. Living Situation: Roxy is not well-suited for an apartment or condo, as she can be vocal when crated. A home with more space to move around and explore would be ideal. Compatibility with Other Pets: Roxy likes other dogs and has no issues with cats. She will enjoy having furry friends around to share her life with! Children: She would do best in a home with older dog-savvy children due to her limited past socialization. This will help ensure she feels comfortable and secure. Roxy is still learning how to be a family pet and is making great strides. She enjoys being held and pampered, but she will require regular grooming to keep her coat in good condition. She is looking for a warm and loving family to commit to nurturing her as she adjusts to her new life as a cherished pet. A family that can provide her with love, patience, and encouragement as she learns the ins and outs of being a beloved companion would be perfect for her. If you think you can provide Roxy with the forever home she deserves, don’t hesitate! She’s ready to share her love and joy with you! MEET LEVI:MEET ME AT Wag N' Wash ON SATURDAY, 12/14 FROM 10a-2p4918 N Adams Rd Rochester, MI 48306 Age: 5 years oldBreed: Yorkie Levi was rescued from a life of commercial breeding and is now safe and ready for his loving forever home, thanks to the collaboration between the Bissell Pet Foundation and National Mill Dog Rescue. Levi is a sweet little fella who adores being held and is the perfect lap dog! He’s looking for a quieter environment where he can feel secure and loved. His gentle and affectionate nature makes him a wonderful companion for someone seeking a cuddle buddy. Requirements: Living Situation: Levi is best suited for a mature household that can provide him with the calm atmosphere he craves. He does well with other dogs, though he may be a bit small for larger breeds. Thankfully, he has no issues with cats, making him a versatile addition to many homes. House Training: While he is crate trained, Levi is working on perfecting his house manners, specifically addressing his instinct to mark on occasion. Patience and understanding will help him adjust. Physical Needs: As Levi is not leash trained, he will require a physical fenced yard where he can play and explore safely. This will also allow him to enjoy outdoor time without the stress of leash walking. An invisible fence and tethering would be dangerous for a dog his size. Fashion Forward: Levi enjoys wearing sweaters, adding a little extra charm to his adorable personality! Are you ready to provide Levi with the love and care he deserves? Levi is ready to find his forever family—could it be you?
