Story
Winnie is living her best life since our volunteer rescued her from a previous owner who kept her in a crate living in a garage. When she first arrived she was scared from not being socialized and it took her some time to trust and relax. After just a couple weeks she is playful with the other smaller dogs and her personality has come out. She is very sweet and loving and has learned the ropes from the other dogs. She currently uses pee pads in the home. Winnie is approximately 1 year old and weighs approximately 8 pounds.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Jack is a Yorkie mix, but bigger than a full breed, being around 13 lbs. He is a playful  young boy with a sweet temperament. Jack loves pets and will definitely attach to his humans. In his foster home he gets along with all the other dogs, males and females. His favorite canine is the small, pretty female Shih Tzu. She has his whole heart.  Jack will be microchipped, vaccinated and neutered in a couple of weeks and ready for his forever home. The new owner will need to provide training to teach Jack  to walk on a leash without pulling.     Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 1, 2025, 2:48 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Frosty the Snowman was a jolly happy soul! Frosty is the sweetest little guy, with the heart of gold. Frosty is a mixed breed terrier pup weighing in at a whopping 8 pounds! He is estimated to be around one years old. Frosty has lots of puppy energy, with a very sweet temperament. Frosty is working on potty training and crate training but is doing extremely well! Frosty gets along with dogs and children, and everyone he meets. He does like to chase cats, so would do best in a home without, but no aggression. Frosty does have some resource guarding issues when it comes to his food, but it’s very manageable by feeding him separately from other pets. He has so much love and affection to give, and he hopes to find his forever home! For more information about frosty please place an application! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. January 16, 2025, 9:39 pm

Story
Lewie is a sweet boy that was surrendered to us because the owner claimed to have allergies. He is about a year and a half old and weighs about 17 lbs. Lewie is a little shy at first but then just wants to be loved. He is neutered, UTD on required vaccines, HW tested negative and microchipped. He does seem to be housetrained. He is also a little shy around other dogs but would slowly warm up. He is not aggressive in any way but he is a little afraid at first. He just needs a safe secure loving home and family. Because of his initial shyness we will be looking for a home with no small children. If you would like to welcome this special guy into your family, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@gmail.com and we will send our info and application. IF YOU DO NOT SEE A RESPONSE, PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER!

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)!
