Roxy was rescued from a life of commercial breeding and is now safe and ready to find her loving forever home. Her rescue is made possible through a wonderful collaboration between the Bissell Pet Foundation and National Mill Dog Rescue. Sadly, she is missing her right rear foot, which may be due to an injury from her past or a birth defect. Despite this, she does not require any special treatment and navigates her environment like a champ!
Roxy is a sweet and affectionate girl who is incredibly thankful to be in a home environment. She thrives on social interaction and loves being around people. Her joyful spirit and loving nature make her a delightful companion!
Requirements:
Fenced Yard: While Roxy is learning leash manners, she would greatly benefit from a fenced yard to help reinforce her house training and provide a safe space for her to play.
Living Situation: Roxy is not well-suited for an apartment or condo, as she can be vocal when crated. A home with more space to move around and explore would be ideal.
Compatibility with Other Pets: Roxy likes other dogs and has no issues with cats. She will enjoy having furry friends around to share her life with!
Children: She would do best in a home with older dog-savvy children due to her limited past socialization. This will help ensure she feels comfortable and secure.
Roxy is still learning how to be a family pet and is making great strides. She enjoys being held and pampered, but she will require regular grooming to keep her coat in good condition. She is looking for a warm and loving family to commit to nurturing her as she adjusts to her new life as a cherished pet. A family that can provide her with love, patience, and encouragement as she learns the ins and outs of being a beloved companion would be perfect for her.
