Story
Meet Diego — A Tiny Pup with the Softest Heart (Lovingly called “Joey” by his foster mommy) Fostered in Sewell, NJ Diego is one of those dogs who quietly reaches into your heart and never lets go. At just 7 lbs and 8 years old, this precious boy is a little bundle of love who only wants one thing in life — to be close to his person. He may be shy at first, but once Diego knows he’s safe, the love pours out. He’s a true cuddle bug, happiest curled up beside you, soaking in affection and giving it right back tenfold. If you sit down, he’s there. If you lie down, he’s even happier. Being near his human is where his whole world makes sense. Diego came to us as a special-needs pup with an enlarged heart. While that sounds scary, please know this: He’s on a very small dose of medication (Lasix) that he takes easily He does wonderfully on his meds and feels goodHe’s also on medication for his trachea, as the enlarged heart puts some pressure there — and again, he handles it like a champ. IMPORTANT: Diego MUST go to a home with another calm dog.Because of his gentle nature, Diego truly thrives with another small, calm dog. Having a buddy brings out his playful side and gives him comfort when his people aren’t right there. Most of the time, though, he’s perfectly content being your little shadow on the couch. Diego at a glance:• Special-needs sweetheart • Pad trained and also goes outside• Enjoys short walks or a quiet yard• Dog, cat, and kid friendly (prefers teens & older)• Calm, gentle, and deeply devoted• Perfect for a peaceful, loving home Diego doesn’t need adventures or long hikes. He doesn’t need chaos or noise. What he needs is someone special — someone patient, kind, and willing to open their heart to a tiny senior who will love them with everything he has. If you believe that the dogs who need us the most often love us the hardest… Diego is waiting. Apply to adopt Diego:https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application ##2599009##

Story
Meet Mollie — A Yorkie Looking for a Gentle Heart Mollie is a 5-year-old Yorkie, a petite little girl at just about 9 lbs of sweetness. She surrendered from a breeder and has been with a wonderful foster working to come of our her she'll. It is clear Mollie is still learning what it means to truly trust and feel secure. Currently being fostered in Schnecksville, PA, Mollie is an very shy little lady. She has started to come out of her shell since being in foster care — but she’s still timid. When she’s out of her pen area, she’ll quietly explore the room… but if her foster comes near, Mollie will often run back to her bed in her pen where she feels safest. And honestly? That’s not “bad behavior” — that’s just a little dog who’s still figuring out the world Mollie’s Personality Mollie is: Gentle Sweet Quiet Sensitive A little scared — but trying She has never shown negative behaviors, even when being picked up. She may squirm because she isn’t used to it, but when her foster sits down and holds her calmly, Mollie settles and relaxes. It’s like she’s slowly learning, “Oh… this is okay.” Mollie’s Ideal Home Mollie needs a very special kind of home — one that understands shy dogs and is willing to move at her pace. A calm, patient home is a mustNo young kids (— the noise would likely be overwhelming at first) Someone with time to gently build trust and confidence Training Notes Mollie is doing well using a pee pad She has tried going outside, but it seems to be a sensory overload right now — she doesn’t know what to do and tends to cower. With time, warmth, and patience, she may improve, but for now she’s most comfortable indoors. Mollie may not be the dog who runs up to you right away… but she’s the kind of dog who, once she trusts you, will love you quietly and deeply. She’s looking for a person who will show her that life can be soft, safe, and full of kindness To fill out an application, click below:https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application ##2592782##

Story
Lily’s a 5mo 5lb Doxie/Chi/Yorkie mix. She’s dog and kid friendly. She’s working on being housetrained, pee pad and crate trained. She’ll be good in a secure fenced in yard once trained but will need a leash in the yard since is still an escape artist and needs work on harness leashed walks. She loves to play with toys and other dogs. She’s playful, sweet and smart. Lily’s foster requires a home where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, another young playful dog along with people to give leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Lily as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Lily’s vaccinated and will need to be spayed and microchipped at 6mons. Currently in Doylestown, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

She’s spent her whole life with one family, but due to a lack of time and attention, she’s now looking for a home where she can truly be cherished. This tiny princess is very dog-friendly and enjoys the company of other pups, but she thrives best in a quiet, adult-only home—no young kids or frequent little visitors, please. Calm surroundings help Nani feel safe and confident, allowing her loving nature to really shine.Nani is ready to be someone’s constant companion and the center of their world.
