Story
Muffin is an adorable little scruffy girl who was rescued from a hoarding situation.  She is sweet and gentle but is very cautious with people. Muffin loves being with other dogs and is good with cats too.. She is learning how to be part of a family and her fur buddies are showing her the ropes. She will do best in a home with another confident dog to help continue to build her confidence. Muffin is doing a great job with house training and crate training. A quiet adult home will be best as the noise and activity of children make her nervous. A fenced yard is required.  Muffin is 4 years old and 20 lbs. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) Mandy is about 4 years old, and weighs about 15 lbs. She is probably a yorkie/poodle mix? Mandy has not had the best of lives. She was in a backyard breeder/hoarding situation, and it shows . Mandy is very fearful, timid, and reserved. She will need a great deal of patience, understanding and time to realize her new life is wonderful. She is in foster now, and is doing good. She is still fearful, and will need a very understanding adopter. She is going outside to potty, but sometimes has accidents. Mandy is very receptive to affection, and loves to cuddle on a lap. This little girl really deserves a chance at a forever home. She is very good around other dogs, and has shown no aggression. Mandy has been spayed, and is up to date on all vaccines. If you think you have the patience and understanding for this great dog, get your application in to Wags Rescue today! Story
PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Available 10/12/2024 Originated fromAllmons All About Animals DL# 17277Blackshear GA 31516 12/5/25 update - the transformation Marcia has made is amazing in a few months time. She is playful and loves to lay by her human and dog friends. She goes into her crate on her own when asked and is pee pad trained. She still doesn't like to be picked up and is still slow to acclimate to new people - but ifallowed to approach on her own terms - she will look to get pets from new people. Her new owners will need to be patient with her and allow her the time to trust them. A dog friend is not necessary- but it would be helpful in the transition period. She is absolutely worth the time and effort - you won't be disappointed in this happy, funny girl! Update -It's been a few weeks now that Marcia has been at her fosters house - and she has blossomed!!!! She snuggles next to her humans on the couch and loves to play with the resident dogs all sizes -not just the little ones! She is pad trained in the house and is working on going outside consistently. She recently started taking treats from the hand and is enjoying pets and belly rubs. It's a slow process for her - but she is worth it!! Marcia is a very shy and timid pup. She was found in a hoarding situation and very skittish because of it. She is slow to trust both human and furry friends, but if left to her own devices, her puppy curiousness takes over and she will explore her surroundings. Marcia's forever family will need to be very understanding of her fearful behaviors. She will need to be allowed to approach on her terms and will need a fenced yard for bathroom breaks - she is not able to walk on the leash at this time due to her nervousness. She would do best in a home with no small children due to the sudden movements and loud noises that they sometimes bring with them. Aresidentdog friend (medium to small sized) to help her grow her confidence would be best. Once she acclimated to her foster home, she has becomeaffectionate and playful but it has taken a full week to gain her trust. Marciais working oncrate training, although if given her choice, she'd prefer to stay on the couch. She is working on potty training and is doing better every day - but her forever family needs to remember that this will be a process - she's used to using her house as her bathroom after all! Marcia'sfoster family is available to answer any questions you may have! If your heart is open to make Marciaa part of your forever family, please contact WagsRescue.com and put in an application today! Meet Posie. Posie came to us from a commercial breeding kennel. She is about 4 and half years old and she weighs 5 lbs. Posie is very people and other dog friendly. She is in a foster home with other small dogs and a fenced in yard. She does go potty outside but housebreaking is going to be a work in progress for her since she lived in a crate all of her life until she came to us. Posie is now spayed, had a dental cleaning and is up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $450.00. If you are interested in adopting Posie, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
Meet Lily. Lily came to us as a retired breeder dog from a commercial kennel. She is a Yorkie and weighs about 6 lbs. Lily turns 4 years old in July 2025. She is more on the shy side but she is learning how to be loved in her foster home. Lily will do best in a home with a securely fenced yard and another small dog to help her learn how great living in a home can be. Lily gets along well with the other small dogs in her foster home. She is now spayed and had a dental cleaning. Sadly her teeth were so bad that all but one had to be removed so she will have to stay on soft food. Lily is up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She is working on housebreaking and crate training in her foster home but her adopter will need to continue to work on it. Her adoption fee is $450.00. If you are interested in adopting Lily, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
Meet Ginger. Ginger came to us after her owner passed away. She was in a home with many other dogs, cats and even pot belly pigs. Ginger is scared of new people at first, but she does like to cuddle once she gets to know you. She does seem to like men faster then women and will cuddle with them first. Ginger does like to be with other small dogs so a home with another small friendly dog is going to be a must for her. She is not a fan of the leash at all, but we keep trying. She will do best going out to potty in a home with a securely fenced in yard so does need the fenced in yard. We don't know exactly what she is mixed with, her hair does seem like Yorkie and she is an adult, we think at least 5 years old. She weighs about 9 lbs. Ginger came to us spayed, but she was in desperate need of a dental cleaning so she just had that done and her vaccines are now all up to date. She is microchipped and tested negative for heartworm and was started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $200.00. Because she does get scared easily we are not recommending a home with children for Ginger. If you are interested in adopting Ginger,  please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.
