Story
Hello, my name is: Pudding Approx. DOB: 12/08/2021Sex/Breed: Neutered male yorkie/shih tzu mixWeight: 11.6 lbsRescued from: Found strayMeet Pudding! He is the newest All 4 Paws save from ACCT Philly. This little man was found as a stray in the city thin, filthy, and covered in urine, and was brought to ACCT. There, he was incredibly overwhelmed and fearful. He was grumbly, snappy, and just wanted to be left alone - who could blame him?? We were able to offer him a safe escape and a cozy spot in foster care. Pudding is slowly beginning to let his guard down. He is still very nervous in new situations and around new people, so he will need a patient family willing to take things at his pace. Pudding wouldn’t fit in a busy home with children. However, he’d benefit from having a confident dog in his family to help show him the ropes. Right now, Pudding prefers his foster mom above everyone else. He bonds quickly and deeply, craving closeness and attention for those he trusts. He is still working on his training, but is eager to please. This little man just needs time and patience to truly blossom and show his true colors! All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Story
Tianna is a 5 year old spayed female yorkie who weighs 13 pounds. She was rescued from outside living by another organization, but they were at capacity and asked for our assistance. Tianna is a very shy girl that keeps to herself and we cannot imagine what she has been through. She is looking for a patient and quieter home, that can work with her and show her that not all humans are bad. For her best interest, she must go to a home with at least one other dog and a fenced in yard, but she also utilizes pee pads to potty as well. She has tested great with other dogs and will sit on your lap for pets, but she is still a bit unsure. She does well in the crate train, is learning what a leash is and cannot wait to start her next chapter. If you are interested in adopting, please submit an adoption application on our website www.justice-rescue.comJustice Rescue - 17663Malvern, PA 19355

PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Available 10/12/2024 Originated fromAllmons All About Animals DL# 17277Blackshear GA 31516 12/5/25 update - the transformation Marcia has made is amazing in a few months time. She is playful and loves to lay by her human and dog friends. She goes into her crate on her own when asked and is pee pad trained. She still doesn't like to be picked up and is still slow to acclimate to new people - but ifallowed to approach on her own terms - she will look to get pets from new people. Her new owners will need to be patient with her and allow her the time to trust them. A dog friend is not necessary- but it would be helpful in the transition period. She is absolutely worth the time and effort - you won't be disappointed in this happy, funny girl! Update -It's been a few weeks now that Marcia has been at her fosters house - and she has blossomed!!!! She snuggles next to her humans on the couch and loves to play with the resident dogs all sizes -not just the little ones! She is pad trained in the house and is working on going outside consistently. She recently started taking treats from the hand and is enjoying pets and belly rubs. It's a slow process for her - but she is worth it!! Marcia is a very shy and timid pup. She was found in a hoarding situation and very skittish because of it. She is slow to trust both human and furry friends, but if left to her own devices, her puppy curiousness takes over and she will explore her surroundings. Marcia's forever family will need to be very understanding of her fearful behaviors. She will need to be allowed to approach on her terms and will need a fenced yard for bathroom breaks - she is not able to walk on the leash at this time due to her nervousness. She would do best in a home with no small children due to the sudden movements and loud noises that they sometimes bring with them. Aresidentdog friend (medium to small sized) to help her grow her confidence would be best. Once she acclimated to her foster home, she has becomeaffectionate and playful but it has taken a full week to gain her trust. Marciais working oncrate training, although if given her choice, she'd prefer to stay on the couch. She is working on potty training and is doing better every day - but her forever family needs to remember that this will be a process - she's used to using her house as her bathroom after all! Marcia'sfoster family is available to answer any questions you may have! If your heart is open to make Marciaa part of your forever family, please contact WagsRescue.com and put in an application today! Story
✨Meet Lucy!✨ Lucy is a 5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. Lucy had a very difficult life before coming to us, being used as a mill mama her entire life. She is shut down at this time but is slowly starting to give us her trust. We are confident she will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands her past and gives her the time she needs to trust them and her new surroundings. Lucy loves other animals, and will thrive in a home with at least one other dog. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! We promise there is nothing that compares to gaining the love and trust of a mill mama, but it requires intentional effort and commitment from their new family. With the right guidance, puppy mill survivors can blossom into well-socialized, joyful dog- so our goal is always to ensure every adopter is fully prepared to give them the life and environment they need to truly thrive! If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾 Angel’s Retreat West Chester, PA PA Kennel License 17335

Story
Muffin is an adorable little scruffy girl who was rescued from a hoarding situation.  She is sweet and gentle but is very cautious with people. Muffin loves being with other dogs and is good with cats too.. She is learning how to be part of a family and her fur buddies are showing her the ropes. She will do best in a home with another confident dog to help continue to build her confidence. Muffin is doing a great job with house training and crate training. A quiet adult home will be best as the noise and activity of children make her nervous. A fenced yard is required.  Muffin is 4 years old and 20 lbs. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com.
