Story
Lily’s a 5mo 5lb Doxie/Chi/Yorkie mix. She’s dog and kid friendly. She’s working on being housetrained, pee pad and crate trained. She’ll be good in a secure fenced in yard once trained but will need a leash in the yard since is still an escape artist and needs work on harness leashed walks. She loves to play with toys and other dogs. She’s playful, sweet and smart. Lily’s foster requires a home where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, another young playful dog along with people to give leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Lily as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Lily’s vaccinated and will need to be spayed and microchipped at 6mons. Currently in Doylestown, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Story
Meet Diego — A Tiny Senior with the Softest Heart (Lovingly called “Joey” by his foster mommy) Fostered in Sewell, NJ Diego is one of those dogs who quietly reaches into your heart and never lets go. At just 7 lbs and 8 years old, this precious senior boy is a little bundle of love who only wants one thing in life — to be close to his person. He may be shy at first, but once Diego knows he’s safe, the love pours out. He’s a true cuddle bug, happiest curled up beside you, soaking in affection and giving it right back tenfold. If you sit down, he’s there. If you lie down, he’s even happier. Being near his human is where his whole world makes sense. Diego came to us as a special-needs senior with an enlarged heart. While that sounds scary, please know this: He’s on a very small dose of medication (Lasix) that he takes easily He does wonderfully on his meds and feels goodHe’s also on medication for his trachea, as the enlarged heart puts some pressure there — and again, he handles it like a champ. Because of his gentle nature, Diego truly thrives with another small, calm dog. Having a buddy brings out his playful side and gives him comfort when his people aren’t right there. Most of the time, though, he’s perfectly content being your little shadow on the couch. Diego at a glance:• Senior, special-needs sweetheart • Pad trained and also goes outside• Enjoys short walks or a quiet yard• Dog, cat, and kid friendly (prefers teens & older)• Calm, gentle, and deeply devoted• Perfect for a peaceful, loving home Diego doesn’t need adventures or long hikes. He doesn’t need chaos or noise. What he needs is someone special — someone patient, kind, and willing to open their heart to a tiny senior who will love them with everything he has. If you believe that the dogs who need us the most often love us the hardest… Diego is waiting. Apply to adopt Diego:https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application ##2599009##

Gordon is a quiet little guy (very minimal barking ), learning to walk on a harness, and enjoys slow, relaxed walks He’s still working on potty training and does well wearing a belly band — patience and love will go a long way with him, especially given his age and past Sweet Gordon:• Ultimate lap dog • Gentle with puppies, kids, and older dogs • Very loving & calm personality • Learning leash skills • Good in a crate • Allows grooming (sensitive with his feet)• Toothless boy (needs soft food, can eat small pellets)• Normally fluffy — his coat will grow back beautifully Perfect home:A patient, loving home that understands rescue dogs and is ready to give Gordon the affection, safety, and consistency he’s always deserved He may take time with potty training, but what you get in return is unconditional love and a loyal little shadow He has been neutered, had a needed dental, is up to date on all vaccines and microchipped To fill out an adoption application, click the link below:https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application ##2643166##

Story
LOOKING FOR A FOSTER.  Huntington has had a few seizures while in foster so he needs a medical foster in southern NJ who can foster him while we determine his medical needs, which will likely be a medication to control his seizures.   Meet Huntington (aka “Alexander Hamilton”) — A Gentle Little Gentleman Looking for His Forever Lap Huntington is an approximately 5-year-old Yorkie , who weighs in at 8 lbs.   He was surrendered from a breeder with a group of other Yorkies, and is now learning what it truly means to be loved. And oh… he is soaking it all in. This sweet boy is calm, easygoing, and incredibly well-behaved. His favorite thing in the world is being pet — so much so that he’ll gently nudge or paw at your hand to politely ask for more. He loves to snuggle, adores lap time, and is happiest curled up close to his person. Huntington is quiet and gentle — not yappy at all — and rarely barks. He can be crated when needed, but his heart is set on sleeping beside his foster mom. He comes when called, knows his nickname “Alexander,” and walks beautifully on leash, enjoying peaceful strolls on the sidewalk. He does wonderfully with other small dogs, showing polite manners and a slightly submissive personality, and he’s been fantastic with children ages 9 and 12. He seeks affection from everyone he meets and has the softest, most loving presence. Potty training is still a work in progress, but he does great wearing belly bands when needed. Overall, Huntington is a quiet, loving companion who wants nothing more than a warm lap, gentle pets, and someone to love him forever. Fostered in Sewell, NJ If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate little soul to be your snuggle buddy, and you are willing to foster Huntington  to help with his transition to his new life please apply https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/become-a-foster/   Sometimes the best dogs aren’t the loudest — they’re the ones who love quietly and deeply. Huntington is ready to give his whole heart. ##2546035##
