Story
DOB 4-6-2026 Sidney is a cute and sweet little boy looking for a home. He loves to play, is social and gets along with the other little dogs. He is up to date on shots and medical for his age and will come with all his records. Sidney's adoption fee is 950.00 and transport is 165.00. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Meet Ollie GreenePets Foster Network Born: May 9, 2021 Yorkie Mix Ollie is one of those little dogs with a **huge heart hidden behind a shy beginning**. He is incredibly sweet, deeply loyal, and very devoted to the people he loves. Ollie can be timid when meeting someone new, so he isn’t the kind of dog who instantly throws himself into a stranger’s lap. He needs a little patience, a little kindness, and the freedom to decide when he feels safe. Once that happens? **You get the real Ollie.** He bonds closely with his people and wants to be near them. He is affectionate, loving, and naturally watchful of the people he considers family. Give him time to trust you and he will repay that patience with the kind of loyalty that makes a dog unforgettable. Ollie would do best with someone who understands that **shy dogs shouldn’t be rushed**. He needs a home where people will let the relationship develop naturally rather than expecting him to be everybody’s best friend on Day One. He may arrive quietly—but once Ollie decides you are his person, **you’ve got yourself one seriously devoted little best friend.** Sweet. Shy. Loyal. Worth the wait.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.9/5/26 We cant figure out why this adorable little guy is still not adopted. He is absolutely precious! Sadly, his dad passed away unexpectedly. His mom had to move in with family who would not allow Chewy to come along. Chewy is a good little boy. He is friendly and playful with people and other dogs. This is what Chewy's foster says about him: Meet Chewy. He is as mischievous and sweet all rolled up in to one as he looks. he definitely has human-like eyes. We believe he is a terrier mix but we only have his looks to go by. 1-2 years old and about 15 lbs. He is housebroken. He is not a fan of the crate and will voice his objection but settles after about 15 minutes. He is obsessed with my cat and truly thinks she is his. He chases but doesn't hurt her. He really likes to play with dogs so ideally an active playmate would be best. He seems to prefer men over women but he really likes anyone who is nice to him. He is ready to find a home of his own! He is fully vetted. Chewy is located in Arkansas. He can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in MD, PA, NJ, or CT on Saturdays. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Please visit our Facebook page too! https://www.facebook.com/adoptastrayrescueorg For more info regarding adopting, email apps.aasr@gmail.com Thank you for considering one of our rescue babies!September 15, 2026, 9:52 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! GiGi is one of the sweetest girls ever. She can be a little shy with new people but she warms up quickly. Once she gets comfortable all she wants is attention and to play :) She LOVES playing with other dogs her size and loves running the field. Another dog is a must because that is what GiGi is used to and she loves having a playmate. :) A fenced yard is also a MUST because she has alot of energy and shes used to running freely. She is the most loving girl waiting patiently for her forever home! :) REQUIREMENTS: MUST HAVE ANOTHER SMALL DOG, MUST HAVE A FENCED YARDVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
