Sadie is a 4 lb, 10 yr old Yorkie mix who needs rehoming. She was left with me after I just agreed to take care of her for several days. I have now invested a lot of time and love to transition her to be ready for a new home (she had lived with her previous family for most of her 10 years). She needs to be in a house where she is the only dog due to being picked on by larger dogs in the past (After 6 weeks, she is still acting aggressively towards my small dog who is very passive). She is housebroken but needs a pee-pee pad down or else she will pee on mats... She loves walks or just running around outside in an enclosed space. She enjoys lots of attention and her newfound love is playing with squeaky toys that are made for her petite-sized mouth. When I first got her, she didn't seem to know what toys were for. She does okay being left alone, but loves to be showered with love upon your return. She comes with toys, harness, leash, pee-pee pads, and lots of clothing...

Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families. We have many sponsorship dogs. Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :) So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue. Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding. Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Well can I just say I LOVE the ranch!! My last house had 148 dogs and it was REALLY nasty!!! The authorities finally came and got us all!! Here at the ranch I get spa days and the food is real good and we have a huge field to play in!! My best friend is Layla. She is really scared so I stay close to her so she feels safe and hopefully at some point she will start to trust humans again. The volunteers are really nice. They hold us and talk to us and its VERY different from what we were used to! Mom says she is going to attach some pics of where we lived but I am happy to forget all about that and enjoy life. My mom is Muffin's owner. I am her son. Mom just moved into independent living from a townhouse. Muffin is 14 years old. Dr. Mimnaugh is her vet. We hoped that the move would work for Muffin and Mom but the challenge of taking Muffin out for walks and bathroom breaks up and down steps and long hallways is too much. Muffin is a sweet, peaceful , aging dog but has no significant problems. It is hard for my Mom to make this decision but is in the best interest of both Mom and Muffin. I am available for questions. Isn’t this just the sweetest little face? This adorable little girl is looking for a new lap to keep warm. Since the cold weather has arrived, I know someone has to be looking for a little love bug like her to do just that. She loves hanging out with her family, keeping laps warm, being on the receiving end of lots of hugs and kisses and being spoiled. She is very sweet, very good natured and pretty spunky. Lila gets along great with all of my little foster dogs and my small personal dogs as well…actually she has fit right in with all of them every since day one. All I want for her is to be adopted by a wonderful family that will treat her like a princess and include her in all of their activities and daily comings and goings. At 10 years old, she is a little older, but she still has lots of love to give and lots of life ahead of her. Because she is on the smaller side, no small kids. Lila weighs 10 ½ pounds, has been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, had a dental, fecal tested, is current on all vaccinations, worming, heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Lila is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.
