Story
Meet Chip — a 1-year-old Boxer/Pit Mix weighing 42 lbs, full of energy, charm, and love! Quick Facts: Name: Chip Breed: Boxer/Pitbull Mix Age: 1 year old Weight: 42 lbs. House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: No (unless they really like to be chased!) Good with Kids: Yes (prefer school-aged kids who like to run and play) Energy Level: Medium to High Fence Required: No (he is good on a leash) About Chip’s Breed: Our best guess is that Chip is a Boxer/Pitbull mix. The Boxer/Pitbull mix, often called a Bullboxer Pit, is a strong, energetic, and affectionate hybrid breed. They combine the loyalty and protective instincts of the Pitbull with the playful, athletic nature of the Boxer, making them excellent companions for active families. These dogs are typically medium to large in size (around 50–80 lbs) and thrive in homes where they receive consistent training, early socialization, and plenty of exercise. They are known to be loving, loyal, and good with children, but because of their energy and strength, they do best with experienced owners who can provide structure and outlets for play. An ideal home for a Boxer/Pitbull mix is one with space to run, an active lifestyle, and a family ready to give them both affection and guidance. All About Chip: Chip is “all boy” with a playful spirit and an infectious little smile that wins hearts everywhere he goes! Despite a rough start to life, his endearing nature shines through—he’s potty trained, crate trained, and has excellent house manners. He can be trusted uncrated when you’re away and is very polite at mealtime, though his love of food means he’ll happily scarf down his own (and anyone else’s) if given the chance! Known as the “social butterfly” of the rescue, Chip loves literally everyone he meets. He’s an enthusiastic playmate with other dogs and great with kids, especially school-aged children who can match his playful energy. Cats, however, aren’t the best fit—Chip can’t quite understand why they don’t want to play chase. On leash, Chip does well and would thrive with an active family ready for adventures like hiking, running, or long walks. He has a more dominant play style and would do best in a home with more submissive and playful dogs for now. He would also do well as a solo pup! While he loves to snuggle and hug, Chip can be what we jokingly refer to as “aggressively affectionate”, sometimes to the point of being overwhelming, but he responds beautifully to food treats and positive reinforcement. Chip’s Highlights: • 42 lbs of playful energy, loves to play hard and smile big • Potty and crate trained, with great house manners • Social butterfly, adores people and dogs alike • Best with school-aged kids, loves active play • Not cat-friendly, he thinks they like to be chased and played with • Adventure-ready, enjoys hiking, running, and walking • Affectionate snuggler, loves hugs and responds well to treats Chip is the bestest, best boy—a loving, playful companion who’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and adventure to his forever family! Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. to ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Online Adoption Application › Meet Winnie – the Sweetest Love Bug!   If you’re looking for a pup who will shower you with endless love, Winnie is your girl!   This young sweetheart has a heart as big as her puppy energy. Winnie loves everyone she meets: people, dogs, and even cats (though the kitties are still teaching her about personal space ). She’s the queen of neck scratches and snuggles and hasn’t met a stranger yet.   &#226&#156&#168 A little more about Winnie: • Young, full of love & energy • Plays wonderfully with other dogs • Cat-friendly (just wants to play!) • Great with kids, though still learning not to jump when excited • Crate trained and eager to learn more — with a little consistency, she’ll master potty        training in no time! • Professional cuddler and lap-hopper (personal space? Never heard of it!)   At a recent puppy event, Winnie spent the whole time loving on everyone — dogs, people, and especially one lucky man who got a full face of Winnie kisses.   Winnie would thrive in a home ready to give her love, playtime, and gentle guidance as she grows. She’s ready to be someone’s best friend for life.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 11, 2026, 11:51 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hello! My name is Tank! I'm a 4 year old boxer mix that is ready to be your one true love!  Life has not been the best for me. I had a home but my owner had to give me up. He couldn't care for me, and I had significant hair loss. I was at the shelter for a long time and then this weird thing happened, my shelter home started flooding. I hear people say it was something about a hurricane named Helene. Anyways, this nice lady rescued me, but then her home flooded too! Long story short, Pawfect Match took me in and here I am, looking for a home.  So now that you know my story let me tell you a little about me. I currently live with my foster dad. It's just me and him. He gives me the best belly rubs, which I love sooooo much! He also plays tug-of-war with me and fetch. Those are my favorite games. In return, I'm a good boy. I use the potty outside and make sure to get in his lap for cuddles so he knows how much I love him!  Foster dad says I'm a funny guy! I can be a bit dramatic sometimes. Like when foster dad is busy and can't pet me or play with me, I give him a little huff so he knows I'm still here. When foster dad finally remembers me, I do this funny thing when foster dad pets me and I bend my whole body over his leg. I will also stand on him while he sits on the couch just so he remembers I'm there.  I do all the things most dogs do like potty outside. I'm good in a crate and I never destroy anything in the house. I really don't know why I'm not adopted! I do need to be an only dog but trust me, I'm all the love you need. Please consider adopting me today. I really want to know what a forever home feels like! If it's half as good as a foster home, then I know I'll love it! You can apply to adopt me here: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 24, 2025, 10:55 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › You'll never meet a snugglier guy! Bruce loves to love and will greet you with a wiggly butt, the softest brown eyes, and the ultimate snuggle session every time you come home.  His second favorite thing after snuggles? Tennis balls! Although, they're less for fetching and more for throwing and carrying around. Bruce is a lower energy guy and doesn't require a whole lot of exercise. A short walk and some time in the yard and he's right back to snoring on the couch.  Bruce is a champ at reading other dogs and will adjust his playstyle and level of engagement based on what they're comfortable with. His current foster sister isn't a big fan of other dogs and he is incredibly respectful of her space. He's even lived with small dogs before and is a perfect gentleman with the kitties in his foster home!  Bruce would really love to have another dog in the home to make the time pass quicker when you're gone. While he struggled with separation distress at first, he's built lots of confidence in his foster home and found a great, cheap medication that makes his separation distress very manageable.  When you return home, he'll show off his favorite trick- a big hug! He knows some other basic cues like sit, down, place, and stay, and he is potty trained and leash trained. He'd love to snuggle in your bed and ensure you have the sweetest dreams, but he'll settle for a dog bed on the floor if that's not your style. If you're good at giving belly rubs and have a dog that wants a buddy, you've found your guy! You won't find a more sweet natured pup!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2025, 9:34 pm
