The humans here tell me it’s impossible not to fall in love with my warm personality, but honestly, I just have a really big heart and a lot of love to give. I’m the kind of guy who will always greet you with soft eyes, a thumping tail, and a mission to brighten your day. But let me tell you my favorite secret: I adore toys. In fact, I like to pick out a special "emotional support toy" to carry around with me everywhere. Sometimes it's a fluffy stuffie, but my absolute favorite thing to do is proudly tote a metal bowl around in my squishy mouth! It makes everyone laugh, and honestly, I just love having a little job to do. When I'm not showing off my bowl-carrying skills or zooming around the yard to stretch my legs, I am a professional snugglier. Meet Arnold! 🐾 Arnold may look like a big, tough guy, but underneath that exterior is a big softy who is just waiting to learn what it feels like to be loved. Arnold came to us through our Humane Agents after being removed from a situation where he wasn’t receiving the care he deserved and was being kept in filthy conditions. His past has left its marks—both physically and emotionally—and he is understandably nervous in new situations. Arnold can be a little head shy at first, but once he realizes you’re there to help, he seems to enjoy gentle pets and attention. And underneath that cautious exterior is a silly side that starts to peek out when he feels comfortable! We think there is a wonderful personality waiting to shine through as Arnold learns that people can be kind and that he is finally safe. Arnold is looking for a special family who understands that trust takes time. He needs patience, consistency, gentle guidance, and positive training to help him become the confident boy we know he can be. He may not be the dog who runs up to you asking for love on day one, but give him time, and you may just earn the love of a truly special dog. Arnold has spent too much of his life without the love and care every dog deserves. ROSIE is READY for ADOPTION - currently in foster care (Miami County, OH). She is approx 4yrs young, spayed, and like ALL of our rescued pets… fully vetted, crate and house trained, flea/tick and heartworm free. This little girl in her past life was used primarily for breeding - NO more for this gentle lady. ROSIE is a very quiet, calm, introvert, and a bit timid of new life experiences outside of her yard and home. Other dogs don’t seem to interest her. ROSIE rarely barks, walks great on leash, and will chase a rabbit if it comes in her yard. This wonderful girl is content to be a “couch potato” companion to someone who enjoys a calm and quiet lifestyle and taking short walks when weather permits. She is rather independent, not much of a cuddler, will put herself to bed, loves to sleep in, not bothered by a vacuum. And, when there is thunder and/or fireworks, she will sit with YOU with her head behind yr back or on your lap. Her loyalty will be forever - when she has gained your trust, and, feels safe and secure in her environment and routine. We know, ROSIE will thrive with a person who can provide patience, gentle guidance, and some butt rubs to help her feel loved, comfortable, safe and secure in her new life journey. A true treasure waiting for a forever home and family. A fenced yard is always our preference for these furry companions. We recommend no children for this girl (at this time).
