After two months of decompression, training and learning how to dog, I have turned into the sweetest guy. I am gentle, but nervous in new situations, so need a family that understands I am an awesome boy and will get more confident as I go! I am a young guy, so I can’t wait for a family of my own to take me on adventures and introduce me to how great life can be! ADOPTION FEE: $175 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience l BIRTHDAY: 4/1/22 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes! DOGS IN HOME: Yes, but can be solo CATS: Absolutely will chase, but may be able to live with a dog savvy cat WITH TRAINING. CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $175 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. She is very comfortable in and loves her crate. She is an inside dog and has been pampered all her life. She does not like outside unless to go potty. She is full of personality and very affectionate, loves to be rubbed and petted. Loves walks on a leash, although she pulls a little bit, she responds to corrections. She is a bulldog so she has a little stubbornness. But she knows commands. She is a submissive dog and has never I mean never exhibited any aggression to me or anyone else. Again she is submissive to humans and only wants hugs and kisses. She will bark when someone comes to the door but when they come inside she only wants hugs and kisses. Hello, my name is Savvy! I am a very cuddly and playful 3-year-old 85-pound American Bulldog mix. I have one of the friendliest temperaments you will ever encounter and I’m fully house, crate and leash trained. I am very good with other animals (dogs and cats!)…. But chasing squirrels is so fun I can’t help myself!!! I also like to toss toys in the air and catch them. What am I looking for in a forever home?  In my new furever home, I will need a lot of snuggles but also room to play. A fenced in backyard would be perfect for my squirrel chasing and toy tossing. Adoption fee is $200. She is Up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. Meet Merlot.  This sweet girl is a 3yr old bulldog mix whose journey has had some bumps along the way.  She was helped out by a local police department and made her way to her foster home, after having been found on the streets while very pregnant.  Merlot soon gave birth to 11, yes 11, puppies known as the Wine Flight Litter.   After having been a devoted momma to all her babies, this loving gal is ready to be pampered herself.    She is a laid back girl who doesn’t mind her foster family and their shenanigans in dressing her up in cute clothes.  She’s crate and potty trained, good on leash, loves to go for car rides and a big fan of being spoiled with treats and yummy wet food.  If you are ready for a loving and deserving gal to join your family, please apply for her today.
