Meet Arnold! 🐾 Arnold may look like a big, tough guy, but underneath that exterior is a big softy who is just waiting to learn what it feels like to be loved. Arnold came to us through our Humane Agents after being removed from a situation where he wasn’t receiving the care he deserved and was being kept in filthy conditions. His past has left its marks—both physically and emotionally—and he is understandably nervous in new situations. Arnold can be a little head shy at first, but once he realizes you’re there to help, he seems to enjoy gentle pets and attention. And underneath that cautious exterior is a silly side that starts to peek out when he feels comfortable! We think there is a wonderful personality waiting to shine through as Arnold learns that people can be kind and that he is finally safe. Arnold is looking for a special family who understands that trust takes time. He needs patience, consistency, gentle guidance, and positive training to help him become the confident boy we know he can be. He may not be the dog who runs up to you asking for love on day one, but give him time, and you may just earn the love of a truly special dog. Housebroken, walks well on a leash, and enjoys car rides - what more could you ask for?! We aren’t sure his exact age, but he’s estimated to be about 5 years old. His age makes him the perfect low maintenance companion, a little snack, a little playtime, and then snuggles on the couch sound like the perfect agenda for Rilo! Chip is a handsome bully-Aussie mix, approximately 2 years old, who was rescued as a stray. Chip knows basic commands and has an outgoing personality. He will need an adopter with bully-breed experience; homeowners only. Chip is OK with other dogs but any dogs in his adoptive home should be female. Chip weighs about 60 pounds and is very physically strong. Because we don't know his history, Chip's new home should be child-free. Chip has tested negative for heartworm, has been neutered, and is current on vaccinations/flea/heartworm preventative. You will receive health records and a bag of Hill's Science Diet food upon adoption. Adoption fee $280. I'm a bulldog mix with the cutest underbite, really, I'm a total cuddlebug and love nothing more than curling up close for a nap—or playing joyfully with other dogs. Before rescue, I was surviving as a stray on the streets for months, too scared to trust despite many kindhearted attempts. When I finally decided it was okay to trust and taken in, I had some serious wounds from life outside — I got some TLC, antibiotics, and love. But that is all behind me now and my foster says I've healed beautifully, both inside and out. I have been told that I can have a very serious look but I am gentle, affectionate, and ready to bond deeply with a forever family. While I haven't met cats yet, I am at my best and confident when I am with other dogs and would thrive in a home with canine companions or loving humans who adore snuggles. Now that my rough days are behind me, I'm ready for a soft bed, full belly, and lots of love—maybe with you?
