If given the chance, he’ll gladly curl up in your lap for some snuggles—he’s the perfect mix of energetic and affectionate! Spot is crate trained, house trained, and even waits politely by his crate for dinner. Despite being abandoned on a dirt road, he greeted his rescuer with nothing but friendliness and trust. Story
Meet Rip! ♥️ This big ole baby is a 3 year old pit bull. Rip loves snuggling up on the couch with you while you’re watching tv. He loves his two foster brothers and loves playing outside with them. When his brothers aren’t giving him any attention he entertains his self with toys or finds a comfy spot to take a nap. Rip is a very mellow boy and mostly low maintenance. He enjoys spending most of his time snuggled up somewhere sleeping soundly. He loves everyone he meets and loves his person a little extra special. Rip does not like being alone very long as he does have a tad bit of separation anxiety. He is very food motivated… will do just about anything for a treat! Rip would be best in a home with no children or older children, as sometimes he forgets how big he actually is. Rip can't wait to meet his new family. 🎉

Story
Meet Kate – Your Future Best Friend! Mama Kate and her adorable baby boy, Brompton, wandered onto the property of a kind-hearted Good Samaritan, most likely after being abandoned. Despite her past, Kate has the most hilarious personality, which contrasts with her adorably serious, stoic expressions. This sweet girl is house-trained and crate-trained, but she’s so well-behaved that she can be trusted to roam freely at home. She’ll follow you around with her big, soulful eyes, silently begging for love and affection. Kate is heartworm positive, but she has already started treatment with antibiotics and preventative care. (Heart worm is not contagious as long as dogs stay on preventatives!) Her adoption fee has been lowered, so she can be adopted and begin her journey in her forever home while going through slow kill heart worm treatment provided by the rescue. She is great with dogs of all ages and sizes, loves kids, and welcomes all visitors with her gentle, loving nature. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will bring laughter and love into your home, Kate is your girl. Please consider giving Kate the cozy bed and forever home she deserves—you won’t regret it! Meet Isabella or Izzie, a quirky little  36 pound bundle of joy. Izzie was found wandering around alone, she was emaciated and very weak. Dixie Girl and her incredible foster mom were able to step in and save her life. Izzie does well with children and other dogs, but prefers to stay close to her foster. 🎈 She is crate trained , but will require a heavy duty crate to keep her safe. She prefers to sleep in a cozy dog bed or snuggle with her foster. She is progressing with house training as long as she is kept on a schedule. Izzie is crazy about balls and will run after and retrieve them when outside. 🎾Otherwise, she prefers to be an inside house dog. She would thrive in a home where the human(s) are home most of the time! If sweet Izzie sounds like the perfect match for you , please submit an adoption application. She can't wait to meet her new family. 🎉

Story
Meet Fridge – Your Lovable, Roadside Rescued Best Friend! Fridge isn’t just a name—it’s a whole vibe. This sweet, gentle Pitbull mix was found on the side of the road and has since been on a weight loss journey, proving that second chances (and fewer snacks) can lead to something amazing. Fridge is the neighborhood favorite, winning over kids and adults alike with his calm, friendly demeanor. He’s the perfect mix of laid-back and social, always happy to greet new friends with a wagging tail. In his foster home, he’s been a dream companion, living peacefully with two other dogs and a child. He’s neutral around other dogs, making him an easy addition to a home with existing pets. While Fridge loves a good nap and cuddle session, he’s also discovering his adventurous side! He’s developed a real love for walks and enjoys exploring the outdoors. His foster family says he’s getting more playful every day, even starting to show interest in toys—a big step for this previously overlooked pup. When he’s not out stretching his legs or testing out his growing toy collection, Fridge is a true cuddle bug, always ready for some cozy downtime with his humans. He’s looking for a forever home where he can continue his journey—with love, companionship, and plenty of time for walks and play. Could Fridge be the missing piece in your life? 🐾 Meet Jack! 🐾 Looking for a walking, running, or hiking companion? Or maybe just a best friend who will love you unconditionally? Jack is your guy! 🖤🐶 This 1-year-old Pittie mix is as sweet as they come. He loves everyone he meets, has a playful spirit, and is always ready for fun! His absolute favorite thing in the world? A BALL! 🎾 If you’re looking for a dog who will keep you entertained with his zoomies and puzzle-solving skills, Jack is the perfect match. ✨ Why Jack is Amazing: 🐾 Loves all people – He’s never met a stranger! 🐾 Dog-friendly – Currently living with big dogs and has done well with small pups in the past. 🐾 Smart & Trainable – Loves puzzle toys and is eager to learn! 🐾 Leash Ready– Walks well and takes corrections like a champ. 🐾 Adventure-Potential– Whether it’s hiking, running, or just exploring the backyard, Jack is always up for a good time. 🐾 Loyal & Loving – He’ll be your most devoted companion. 💡 What to Know About Jack’s Medical Condition (DEPOH) 💡 Jack has a genetic bleeding disorder called DEPOH, which means his blood clots break down faster than normal. Otherwise, he’s just like any other happy pup! Jack is looking for a forever family who will continue working his brain, keep him active, and give him all the love he deserves. 🏡🐾 If it could be with you, please let us know here: dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms.
