Story
Huckleberry is a rescue we adopted him from the shelter as a stray. Age guess is that he somewhere between 2 to 3 years old. He is a guard dog breed with predominantly pittie and staffie. Wisdom DNA panel results available to know his full breed breakdown. He is extremely friendly and social loves people and really loves kids! Loves to snuggle on a couch and can be a calm couch potato. Does enjoy playing with other dogs and is friendly and likes to play. Unfortunately having to rehome him as he does resource guard food and toys and will often steal them from our other pittie staffy mix. This has caused several intense dog fights and for the safety of both dogs we believe it’s best to rehome him. He would do best in a single dog home as he does not share well or in another home where the other dog has a more submissive personality. He is potty and crate trained. Understands basic commands such as sit, kennel and drop it. Message for more information

Story
Meet Fridge – Your Lovable, Roadside Rescued Best Friend! Fridge isn’t just a name—it’s a whole vibe. This sweet, gentle Pitbull mix was found on the side of the road and has since been on a weight loss journey, proving that second chances (and fewer snacks) can lead to something amazing. Fridge is the neighborhood favorite, winning over kids and adults alike with his calm, friendly demeanor. He’s the perfect mix of laid-back and social, always happy to greet new friends with a wagging tail. In his foster home, he’s been a dream companion, living peacefully with two other dogs and a child. He’s neutral around other dogs, making him an easy addition to a home with existing pets. While Fridge loves a good nap and cuddle session, he’s also discovering his adventurous side! He’s developed a real love for walks and enjoys exploring the outdoors. His foster family says he’s getting more playful every day, even starting to show interest in toys—a big step for this previously overlooked pup. When he’s not out stretching his legs or testing out his growing toy collection, Fridge is a true cuddle bug, always ready for some cozy downtime with his humans. He’s looking for a forever home where he can continue his journey—with love, companionship, and plenty of time for walks and play. Could Fridge be the missing piece in your life? Story
Darlene will steal your heart, and maybe your man, just because she can 😀 Well, her name's Darlene, not Jolene, but she outshines every other dog around her and will become everyone's favorite girl. Darlene is the happiest, most carefree pup. She loves to play with every dog no matter what size, she doesn't get fussy with other dogs, even when they get fussy with her, and she loves her humans. She's not quite your shadow, but close, and like all great pitties, she loves to be in your lap, sitting on your feet, or snuggled right up next to you. When Darlene was found in a field off a dirt road last year, she was so emaciated, she couldn't stretch out straight. All that is behind her now, and she is LOVING LIFE! Darlene loves a car ride and chewing on sticks. She's good in her crate and riding in the car. She needs work on a leash but otherwise she's just about perfect. You'll find yourself absent-mindedly rubbing her soft ears, and she has such soft fur, especially for a pittie. If you've ever thought about giving a pittie a try, she's a great one to start with. Just remember, she has that pittie enthusiasm and will come in like a wrecking ball! Darlene is 2 years old, fully vetted including spay and shots, and is heartworm negative. She is ready to steal your man ❤️ If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Story
Meet Reese — our comeback kid! Once an emaciated, pitiful pup wandering the mean streets in search of any morsel of food or love, Reese is now a bouncy, playful girl with an enthusiasm for life.  Reese has filled out quickly on the steady diet provided in her loving foster home, but she’s still a pint-sized girl. She’s the perfect small to medium companion, weighing just 17 lbs at about 7 months old. That puts her on track to be about 25-30 lbs full grown.  Reese loves to play with anyone and everyone — other dogs, small children, adults and even cats. She’s light on her feet and does little bunny hops to get your attention. Now that she’s safe and well-fed, she has discovered how fun it is to be a dog. She loves balls and toys — especially the ones that crinkle.  Although she got a late start, Reese is currently learning all the skills mastered by good dogs everywhere — crate training and potty training are on her current to-do list. She’s searching for a forever home that will continue to guide her into her very bright future. Reese is sure to be a bright light and source of joy for the family lucky enough to adopt her! Story
Meet Rip! ♥️ This big ole baby is a 3 year old pit bull. Rip loves snuggling up on the couch with you while you’re watching tv. He loves his two foster brothers and loves playing outside with them. When his brothers aren’t giving him any attention he entertains his self with toys or finds a comfy spot to take a nap. Rip is a very mellow boy and mostly low maintenance. He enjoys spending most of his time snuggled up somewhere sleeping soundly. He loves everyone he meets and loves his person a little extra special. Rip does not like being alone very long as he does have a tad bit of separation anxiety. He is very food motivated… will do just about anything for a treat! Rip would be best in a home with no children or older children, as sometimes he forgets how big he actually is. Rip can't wait to meet his new family. 🎉

Story
Joey loves people! He loves hanging out with people, cuddling with people, playing fetch with people, and snuggling with people. Joe-joe came into foster after his owners moved and left him tied to a tree. He has a bully breed head, but is lean like a greyhound. He is the height of a medium size dog, but is mostly legs. He absolutely loves to chase tennis balls and will retrieve them! Crate and house training were a breeze and he sits in front of his crate waiting to go in to eat dinner. He was immediately good on a leash, too! Joey also gets along with other dogs. This very good boy was born in the summer of 2024 and ie fully vetted including shots, neuter, and heartworm preventative. We have loved fostering Joey and can't wait for him to find his forever home!
