Approximately 40 pounds WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a tripawd! I had my back right leg amputated, but I get around very well with my other three legs! I have white and tan coloring with a compact body, lower to the ground with big paws. I have beautiful light green/yellow eyes and the MOST amazing ears that perk up with a fold. I am the absolute cutest boy, if I do say so myself! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I like to eat regular dog food and treats. My foster mom is currently feeding me Purina One lamb and rice formula and I have done well with this diet. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a very playful and sweet puppy and I love other dogs and people. Sometimes, it may seem like I am scared or nervous when meeting new people and dogs, but I quickly warm up and show my belly for rubs and love. I love to play with my foster dog brothers and my foster cat siblings. I am also respectful and am learning boundaries from my Chihuahua foster brother, Oreo, who thinks he is the fun police. When I am tired and it is nap time, I love to jump on the couch and snuggle up with whomever is there, dog or human. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day would be hanging out with my foster brothers downstairs and having a yard to run in with them. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? My favorite toys are anything that I can play tug-o-war with. I also love tearing up stuffed toys with a lot of stuffing. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I do not know any fancy tricks yet, but I have perfected a basic “sit” and I am so proud of myself for being a smart boy! WHAT SCARES YOU? I am sometimes nervous when someone is standing over me to pick me up, and I get a little overwhelmed when I first meet new people and dog friends. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I currently live with a 10-year-old child, and I love her so much! She is great to lay around and hangout with. She always has her friends over and I love them too! I get to hang with her and her friends a lot since my crate is in her room for the nights. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I am curious and try to play with cats if they let me. I give them their space but will make attempts to play. When my foster sibling cats swipe at me, I get excited and think they want to play—I am a puppy, after all! But I am mindful to keep my distance and respect their space. When my cat siblings are sleeping, I am doing such a good job learning not to disturb them. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? With a slow introduction, I can make friends with just about any dog that I meet! I am very submissive and love dogs of all sizes, especially big ones I can tumble around with. In my foster home, I have three resident dog foster brothers and a brother named Dante, who is also a foster like me. I also live with two cats who stay upstairs. My favorite brother to play with is my biggest brother, Sage, who is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He is my best bud. Even though I am a lot smaller than Sage, I am durable, and I have the best time rough housing with him. I also enjoy hanging out with my other foster brother, Dante. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? When I am home alone, I stay safe in my crate. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my comfy crate upstairs in my human foster sister’s room. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? Walking on a leash was hard to get used to at first, but I am getting more comfortable with it all the time. I like being taken outside on small walks in the grass area to potty. I love to explore all the smells of the different plants and flowers. DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? My foster mom does not have a yard, so I am mostly on leash when I go outside. I occasionally bark in the morning when it is time to wake up, and I can hear the other dogs moving around. Sometimes I get nervous when being picked up. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) Since I had my leg amputated, I’ve fallen a little behind on potty training, but I am getting back to a regular routine. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I love to drink water and do not mind stepping in the wet/damp grass in the morning. I have not experienced a water hose or pool yet. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? My foster mom and family have taken the best care of me after my amputation and have shown me that I am safe and loved. They have also helped me get over my fear of going down the stairs and being around other dogs. I love being with my foster brothers and humans. It makes me feel like I am part of the pack. I enjoy playing and being around them. Being able to spend time with them has made me a more confident and happier dog all around. What do you look like? I am a very handsome boy, if I do say so myself – my foster mom tells me that all the time too! My coat is grey with a white chest and my ears are floppy but bounce rather nicely when I run. I am strong and tall and slender, and always have a big happy grin on my cute face. What do you like to eat? I am a good eater and usually clean my bowl quickly of dry kibble (usually Purina meat variety mixed with IAMS chicken kibble and a spoonful of Rachel Ray or other yummy wet food mixed in). My foster mom spoils me. What kind of personality do you have? I’m a big, goofy love bug who hasn’t met a person or dog I don’t like. I would adopt everyone as my family if I could and play all day long. Describe your perfect day: A trip to the dog park with my family and playing in the creek. What is your favorite toy? A big juicy bone, though I do love the big, knotted rope with which I play tug of war with my little foster brother dog pal. Do you know any tricks? I know how to “sit” and am working on learning other lessons my family is teaching. I’m a quick study but a little patience is needed as I’ve still got puppy brain at times. What scares you? Gunshots, firecrackers/fireworks, loud lawn equipment such as weed whackers. I think I can get used to the lawn equipment but will take some patience with the bangs from gunshots and fireworks. Have you been around children? Do you like them? I love everyone, including children. But I’m a very exuberant big boy, so best around older children and adults. Do you like cats? I do. I wish they liked me as I’m super fun and I’d like to play, but I’m very big and exuberant and the few cats I’ve been around just ignore me or find somewhere else to be. Slow introductions and acclimation for both of us would be best. How do you feel about other dogs? I LOVE other dogs – I could play and play and play until bedtime! I make all kinds of friends at the dog park. If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be? At the dog park with my family and dog buddies. How is your health? Really good. I’m still very young so am in great shape. I sometimes have a little trouble with my ears but ear ointment from the vet easily takes care of that. Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion? My foster mom and a chihuahua who is a youngster like me but a few months older. We grew up together. Where do you hang out when you are home alone? In the backyard with my toys and my foster brother dog pal or in my crate if I’m sleepy. Where do you sleep? In my own crate which I love. Do you like walking on a leash? Yes, I’m a good boy on a leash though I’m very strong, so need to be sure whoever walks me can handle my muscles. Do you have any "not-so-great" habits that we should know about? For instance, do you bark or dig in the yard? I sometimes dig a small hole for a special bone and if left on my own too long, may find something to chew that’s not my toy. But I’m overall a pretty quiet dog, even when seeing cows in the field in back of my house for the first time. They were interesting to watch, but I didn’t want to bark at them or chase them. Are you house trained? (Meaning do you go potty outside). I usually spend most of my time outside and am semi-potty trained, though need a bit more time with training. Though I sleep through the night in my crate with generally no accidents. Do you like playing in water? I LOVE a good creek to wade around in or a small kiddie pool to walk in. I like all the people and animals I meet daily but I find comfort in my foster moms’ laps. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I love my kennel, it’s my safe space. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? In my kennel unless it's nap time, then with my people on the couch. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? Yes! I love it! DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I wasn’t potty trained at all but I’m learning how to “dog”. I’m almost trained but will need patience! DO YOU LIKE WATER? Yes! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I came from the Stockton shelter with one eye and really withdrawn. Gigi Are you a girl or a boy? A very cute girl! How old are you? About 2 years old What breed are you? I am a bulldog mix. How much do you weigh? 26 pounds of cuteness. What do you look like? I am petite and stocky with short legs, gray and white fur, and a little crooked nubby tail. What do you like to eat? I like to eat everything! I eat my kibble and I love treats. I love fruits and vegetables too! What kind of personality do you have? If I were a sauce, I would be Siracha. I am spicy and oh so sweet! I can be pushy, but I am learning commands like sit, stay, leave it, and also where my “spot” is. I am very trainable! I have no knowledge of personal space. I am very happy and social. I love people and absolutely love to cuddle! I am playful but also lazy and love to lay on your lap and nap while you are watching TV. Sometimes at night I get really feisty and do zoomies and will try to pounce on you, almost like I am a cat! When this happens, a toy will distract me and keep me busy. Want to play tug?? Describe your perfect day: My perfect day is spent with you! I wake up, do a big stretch and immediately want to have breakfast. I run right into the kitchen even before I have gone potty. I then go potty and have a short walk outside. I like to go on walks but not too far since my legs are so short. I love going for car rides more than walks so a car ride somewhere would make me really happy. Then home to relax and take a nap. I love to lay on you or sit on your lap while you are on the couch. I then would love to play with some toys, maybe tug on a rope. After play time, I am usually asleep and snoring by 8pm. What is your favorite toy? I love Kong toys filled with treats or Benebone or Nylabone. I love playing tug with rope toys. Playing tug is my absolute favorite game. Do you know any tricks? I know how to sit, leave it, and go to my “spot”. I am still working on some other training commands. What scares you? Sometimes loud noises if I hear them when I am out walking. Have you been around children? Do you like them? I have been around older children and I love them very much. No children under 13 please. I can be rough and mouthy when playing with toys. Also, sometimes when I do my zoomies I get a little crazy and will pounce on you. This would not be good for a small child. Do you like cats? No thanks, I’ll pass. How do you feel about other dogs? I need to be an only dog. I am queen of my castle! All the love is mine! If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be? Right next to you! And also in the car would be great! I love car rides. How is your health? My health is great! Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion? I live with my foster mom and her teen daughter. I think I like my foster mom the best because she feeds me and I am a total foodie! Where do you hang out when you are home alone? I stay in my crate when I am home alone. Nobody wants me chewing a shoe, ok? Where do you sleep? I sleep in a soft cozy bed inside of my crate. Do you like walking on a leash? I do like walking on a leash but I don’t like walking very far. My legs are very short! Do you have any "not-so-great" habits that we should know about? For instance, do you bark or dig in the yard? I like to attack the vacuum when it turns on. I also love to get into the bathroom trash, dumpster dive! Not sure if it is a bad habit since I can’t help it, but I snore really loud! It’s actually cute if you ask me. Are you house trained? (Meaning do you go potty outside) I am housetrained. Do you like water? I tolerate it for my bath and will go outside to potty in the rain but it is not my favorite. I am heavy and have very short legs so I probably wouldn’t be able to swim. No pools please! What do you love about your foster family? They give me so much love and attention. I am not sure if I ever had that much love before. They make me a part of everything, and I feel so special. And of course, they give me treats and toys to play with!! What was your life like before being brought into NorCal Bully Breed Rescue? I was found as a stray and ended up in the shelter. No one came for me.
