He does chase the cats so he might do better in a home without any. Reid is about 1 year 3 months old. Very loving and playful. Up to date on all his shots and has been fixed. Knows some commands.

I am a super cute low rider bully mix.   HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? My ideal weight is around 35 pounds. I am working hard to attain that weight through a low calorie diet because I have gained a few extra pounds as I have gotten healthy and comfortable in foster care. At the moment, I weigh 40 pounds.   WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a wrinkly face, a cute underbite, and short, chubby legs. My coloring is fawn, and, in the sun, I glow like a beautiful star. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention my gorgeous light green eyes!   WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? As I mentioned, I am watching my calories, so my foster parents feed me a good quality, low calorie kibble.   WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am the sweetest girl ever! One of my favorite things to do is cuddle with a human on the couch because I love the attention. Attention is really the thing for me…I want to be the center of attention, the star of the show, and the life of the party! I am still young, so I have a lot of energy for walks and playtime. Let’s play fetch or tug with my toys!   DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: I am pretty chill in the morning and will wait patiently for my humans to start the day. After dealing with the morning business, I love to go for a walk or a car ride, followed by lots of couch cuddles and naps. After some playtime with my foster brother, we both like to bake in the sun like the potatoes that we are! In sum: naps, cuddles, playtime, and sunbathing would be the perfect day for me.   WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love pretty much all the toys! Nibbling on my squeaky stuffies is the current favorite, though.   DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? Yes! I know how to sit and stay, and I will “go to apartment,” which is my fancy bedroom pen where I eat my meals and sleep. Oh, and perhaps my best trick is getting any and all humans to sit down on the couch and let me get up on their lap! I am an expert at that trick!   WHAT SCARES YOU? Oh, I am definitely not a fan of loud noises. I am slowly making friends with the vacuum cleaner and the blender—but those things still seem pretty suspicious, if you ask me. To help keep me from getting too scared when I’m alone, my foster mom makes sure I am relaxed and comfortable by turning on the television with soft music.   HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have hung out with some older kids (over 12 years old) and I did very well. That was fun! I do tend to get excited and jump up on people to get their attention, so it would probably be best if I am in a home with older kids only.   DO YOU LIKE CATS? I haven’t been around any cats, so I can’t say one way or the other. It is probably best that we stick to dog friends for me, thanks.   HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I live with two other dogs in my foster home and we get along great. Introductions were taken slowly to set us up for a successful friendship, and I think that slow intros are key for me. It will help me to have time to get used to a new home, then gradually increasing exposure to any resident dogs in stages. I am playful and fun, and if we do this right, I will be an amazing friend for your dogs!   IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I would be on the couch, lying comfortably right next to my human or, better yet, lying comfortably ON my human! I will fall asleep as the happiest little nugget in your arms!   HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am a strong and healthy girl! After I get to my goal weight, I will just need to maintain it and we are good to go!   WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster parents, my foster brother Fez, and my foster sister Hazel. My closest companion is my foster mom, who is my cuddle buddy on the couch as she reads or watches television.   WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I am really great in my “apartment” when my humans leave the house! I settle quickly on my bed and calmly wait for them to return.   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep comfortably in my cozy apartment. We have occasional slumber parties where we all pile into my foster parents’ bed, and I am such a good girl! I sleep through the night like an angel.   DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love walks! I get really excited to see my leash come out and then it is so much fun to get out and about in the neighborhood. Sometimes I will just stop mid-stride to spend some time taking in the amazing smells (who doesn’t love all the smells, right?).   DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I mentioned above that it’s all about me getting all the attention, right? Yeah, that’s the thing. I have a habit of nipping fingers and jumping up on people when I greet them. I am working on not doing this because I know I should be sitting quietly waiting for people to pet me. It’s hard because I love people so much and want to get their attention right away. I hope to learn how to control my excitement better. I will benefit from a forever home that will continue to work with me on my manners and training for good behaviors.   ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? My foster parents make sure that I have access to the backyard on a regular schedule to help prevent accidents in the house. I’ve done great! I sleep through the night with no problem (yay, me!) and I will take myself outside if the door is open. But it is helpful to have a reminder to “go potty” because I sometimes get caught up in all the fun that is happening inside the house and forget to go out.   DO YOU LIKE WATER? I don’t like the hose at all. But I absolutely love a warm, soapy bath. I get all blissed out to the point that I actually fell asleep while bathing the other day!   WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that my foster family makes me feel safe and loved. While I am learning good behaviors, they are so patient with my training. I feel very lucky to have a foster family that is helping me get used to a whole new, wonderful way of life. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was found roaming the streets of San Francisco. I was extremely skinny and was brought to SF Animal Care and Control. Luckily, I didn’t have to stay at that place very long before NorCal Bully Breed Rescue got me out of there and brought me to my foster home. My perfect day is: get up; stretch in my crate; eat breakfast; go outside and potty; sunbathe in the backyard (I know all the best places to go as the sun moves); hangout and watch TV with my humans for awhile (especially Animal Planet, I sleep if the news is on); hang out in my crate until the big guy gets home; go for a walk; eat dinner; go potty and watch some TV before bed. I am learning good manners. I know sit, down, leave it and off. I obey about 80% of the time. I also know to wait for my food and to wait to be invited in the house or out the gate. I am a work in progress. With consistency I'm a fast learner and love to make my humans happy. I love to fetch exactly 2.5 times, with great enthusiasm. My favorite toy is...I'm not sure. I eat them before I grow to like them. But a frozen cow bone section keeps me happy for months. I love humans of all shapes and sizes. Cuddling is my favorite game. My humans say I can't hold my licker, but I think they secretly love it. It's really hard to keep all my love inside. I gotta let it fly! I prefer to be the only dog in the house. I really like watching them on TV, but don't see the need to share my home with them. With all this love, why would you want more than me? Our adoption fees are based on the dog and typically range from $200-$500. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary). I am a super cute low rider bully mix.   HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? My ideal weight is around 35 pounds. I am working hard to attain that weight through a low calorie diet because I have gained a few extra pounds as I have gotten healthy and comfortable in foster care. At the moment, I weigh 40 pounds.   WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a wrinkly face, a cute underbite, and short, chubby legs. My coloring is fawn, and, in the sun, I glow like a beautiful star. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention my gorgeous light green eyes!   WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? As I mentioned, I am watching my calories, so my foster parents feed me a good quality, low calorie kibble.   WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am the sweetest girl ever! One of my favorite things to do is cuddle with a human on the couch because I love the attention. Attention is really the thing for me…I want to be the center of attention, the star of the show, and the life of the party! I am still young, so I have a lot of energy for walks and playtime. Let’s play fetch or tug with my toys!   DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: I am pretty chill in the morning and will wait patiently for my humans to start the day. After dealing with the morning business, I love to go for a walk or a car ride, followed by lots of couch cuddles and naps. After some playtime with my foster brother, we both like to bake in the sun like the potatoes that we are! In sum: naps, cuddles, playtime, and sunbathing would be the perfect day for me.   WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love pretty much all the toys! Oh, I am definitely not a fan of loud noises. I am slowly making friends with the vacuum cleaner and the blender—but those things still seem pretty suspicious, if you ask me. To help keep me from getting too scared when I’m alone, my foster mom makes sure I am relaxed and comfortable by turning on the television with soft music.   HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have hung out with some older kids (over 12 years old) and I did very well. That was fun! I do tend to get excited and jump up on people to get their attention, so it would probably be best if I am in a home with older kids only.   DO YOU LIKE CATS? I haven’t been around any cats, so I can’t say one way or the other. It is probably best that we stick to dog friends for me, thanks.   HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I live with two other dogs in my foster home and we get along great. Introductions were taken slowly to set us up for a successful friendship, and I think that slow intros are key for me. It will help me to have time to get used to a new home, then gradually increasing exposure to any resident dogs in stages. I am really great in my “apartment” when my humans leave the house! I settle quickly on my bed and calmly wait for them to return.   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep comfortably in my cozy apartment. I get really excited to see my leash come out and then it is so much fun to get out and about in the neighborhood. I mentioned above that it’s all about me getting all the attention, right? Yeah, that’s the thing. I have a habit of nipping fingers and jumping up on people when I greet them. I am working on not doing this because I know I should be sitting quietly waiting for people to pet me. It’s hard because I love people so much and want to get their attention right away. I hope to learn how to control my excitement better. I will benefit from a forever home that will continue to work with me on my manners and training for good behaviors.   ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? My foster parents make sure that I have access to the backyard on a regular schedule to help prevent accidents in the house. I’ve done great! I sleep through the night with no problem (yay, me!) and I will take myself outside if the door is open. But it is helpful to have a reminder to “go potty” because I sometimes get caught up in all the fun that is happening inside the house and forget to go out.   DO YOU LIKE WATER? I don’t like the hose at all. But I absolutely love a warm, soapy bath. I get all blissed out to the point that I actually fell asleep while bathing the other day!   WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that my foster family makes me feel safe and loved. While I am learning good behaviors, they are so patient with my training. I feel very lucky to have a foster family that is helping me get used to a whole new, wonderful way of life. I am a work in progress. With consistency I'm a fast learner and love to make my humans happy. I love to fetch exactly 2.5 times, with great enthusiasm. My favorite toy is...I'm not sure. I eat them before I grow to like them. But a frozen cow bone section keeps me happy for months. I love humans of all shapes and sizes. Cuddling is my favorite game. I currently live with my foster mom. Her boyfriend comes over frequently and I love to lay on his lap. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang out in my crate. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my crate. It is my safe, cozy space and I can relax and just be chill in there. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I like walking on my leash. I am all good with the potty stuff… no worries there! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I run to the bathroom for bath/shower time! Swimming? I had a not so good life before coming to NorCal Bully Breed Rescue. I was brought in after being shot in the head and arm. (Yikes, right? Scary!) But I am so lucky that NorCal Bully Breed Rescue took me in and nursed me back to health. I have put all that behind me now and I am doing great! WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Izzy (short for Isabella because I’m so bella!)   ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I’m a gorgeous girl!    HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born on November 29, 2018.  
WHAT BREED ARE YOU? Just the most perfect Boxer/Pit Bull mix! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I’m 80 pounds of pure love!  WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I’m a classic, fawn Boxer beauty with soulful brown eyes and natural black eyeshadow. 
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I’ll pretty much eat anything but have a soft spot for cheese! Can you blame me, though? Cheese is life! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am goofy and playful but also love a good cuddle sesh. I’m loyal to my humans and adore little kids!  DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Oh that’s easy! My perfect day would start with a long walk, popping some bubbles or chasing a ball, then some quality couch time with my humans, followed by a nice long nap. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Anything that squeaks will not squeak for very long when I get my paws on it!  DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I’m good with the basics, sit, stay, leave it, and wait! I am very food motivated, so if you want me to learn more, bring on the treats! WHAT SCARES YOU? On leash, I am sometimes nervous about other dogs, so I can be very protective of my humans.   HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I LOVE children, especially little ones! I am so tolerant of their shenanigans, although I appreciate when my humans step in when they start to get a little handsy with me!  DO YOU LIKE CATS? Oh, no thanks. I’ll pass on cats!  HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love playing with other dogs, especially puppies. As I mentioned earlier, I can get uncomfortable with some dogs when on leash. I’m practicing and getting better, treats can help!    IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? It doesn’t matter where I am as long as we’re together. Right beside my human is the best place in the world!  HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m very healthy but getting some arthritis in my hind legs because I’m a big girl.    WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with two adults and two children under five years old. My foster mom is my super-favorite person in the world right now, although those littles sure are a lot of fun!   WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I chill. Sometimes on the couch, sometimes on the floor. I take myself out and like to find cool spots in the house.   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Pretty flexible! Couch, floor, dog bed. A crate if I must but I like crates the least. 
DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? A leash means walks! I love walking on a leash!    DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? I love my family! Sometimes when I’m on leash I have a hard time telling between friend or foe. Even though I’m big, that doesn’t stop me from acting like a puppy. I am willing to learn, so let’s spend some time working together and have some fun bonding while you teach me what you want me to do!   ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) Yes, I am! No problems there! Make sure you tell me where and I’ll stick to it.   DO YOU LIKE WATER? I’m not much of a swimmer but I love getting in the water and playing with the hose. Maybe you can teach me how to swim?   WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love spending time with my foster family, especially all the cuddles. The best is when I get to hang out with the kids. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was born in an animal shelter in Oakland. I had a wonderful family and was very loved. But they had to move out of the country and couldn’t take me, so now NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is helping me with this next chapter of my life.
