Story
Thank you for taking the time to learn get to know a little bit about Bella. I got Bella from a shelter in Portland Oregon 11 years ago. She was skin and bones and had been there for 9 months. She was terrified and mostly hid under the bed for 6 months. Slowly but surely she came out of her shell. She has been my best friend and the closest thing that I will ever have to a child. She is sweet, loving, kind and considerate. She is fully house trained and doesn't get into anything. She would make a great emotional support dog. Bella is very scared of men and will bark aggressively at a strange man. She has never hurt anyone before. She does great with women and children. She loves other dogs too but if the dog is aggressive towards her she will not hesitate to have a dog fight. She has never been the aggressor. She is 12 years old but filled with energy and full of life. She would do best with a single mother and children. She will be your best friend and protect you and your children.

Story
Introducing London! She is a beautiful pittie mix who was out of time in the shelter.  Her estimated dob is 3/1/24 and should be around 50 to 55lbs full grown. London is doing well.  She is a typical puppy who needs rules and boundaries.  She is easily redirected to her toys.  She does like to dig a little and explore the yard.  She is doing great with the other pack members in the house.  She is an exhuberant player. We are walking in the neighborhood.  She is also learning basic commands.  She is also getting used to a crate.  Potty training is ongoing but we are progressing.  Car rides are also going well.  Cats are unknown. London's wish list: 1.   secure yard 2.   no small children 3.   Obedience training necessary 4.   Daily walks 5.   Continued socialization     Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
***At this time we are ONLY doing adoptions within the immediate Sacramento area. Please fill out an adoption application on our website.*** My name is LOLA, aka LalalalaLola, Lolita Mamacita, Lowes, Lolo. (My humans love nicknames.) I answer to all of them, especially if there's food or a rubdown involved. My humans called me Lola because I am low to the ground. I think I'm just aerodynamic. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I’m 9 years old! I came to my humans with four itty bitty puppies, which I cared for and played with, until they got their new homes. I am proud to say I raised beautiful, if rambunctious, pups! My perfect day is: get up; stretch in my crate; eat breakfast; go outside and potty; sunbathe in the backyard (I know all the best places to go as the sun moves); hangout and watch TV with my humans for awhile (especially Animal Planet, I sleep if the news is on); hang out in my crate until the big guy gets home; go for a walk; eat dinner; go potty and watch some TV before bed. I am learning good manners. I know sit, down, leave it and off. I obey about 80% of the time. I also know to wait for my food and to wait to be invited in the house or out the gate. I am a work in progress. With consistency I'm a fast learner and love to make my humans happy. I love to fetch exactly 2.5 times, with great enthusiasm. My favorite toy is...I'm not sure. I eat them before I grow to like them. But a frozen cow bone section keeps me happy for months. I love humans of all shapes and sizes. Cuddling is my favorite game. My humans say I can't hold my licker, but I think they secretly love it. It's really hard to keep all my love inside. I gotta let it fly! I prefer to be the only dog in the house. I really like watching them on TV, but don't see the need to share my home with them. With all this love, why would you want more than me? I have a very waggy tail, a happy-go-lucky disposition, and am about 9 years old. Give me a home and I'll give you all my love and my very best efforts to melt your heart! Lola should be the only pet in the house. She prefers to be able to only have to share her love with her humans. 💗💗💗 The adoption fee for Lola is $300 Interested in meeting this dog or another one of our available dogs? Simply complete and submit our adoption application on our website www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org (FROM YOUR HOME COMPUTER, not cell phones, yet! We’re working on that!!) and we will respond to you within 3-5 days. Once a yard check is completed and you’ve passed the adoption process, you’re welcome to meet any of our dogs!!! NorCal Bully Breed Rescue (NBBR) is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread throughout the Sacramento area. We require our adopters to be within a 50 mile radius of us. This is because we need to do a physical yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. (*FaceTime or Skype are NOT acceptable methods of communication regarding yard checks.) We HAVE made exceptions for dogs that have been with us long term, and for senior dogs. We would still need to perform a yard check, and would be happy to do so for a dog that has been passed over repeatedly, but not for dogs that are in high demand. It would need to be to a neighboring state to California. NOT across the country. That would be too much. (*We will NOT be making this exception for puppies or designer breed dogs, so please don’t ask. It’s way too much for us to have to request time off of work and lose pay to drive a dog out of area when we have plenty of great homes in our area wanting to adopt these dogs.) We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and typically range from $200-$500. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary). In the case of designer breed dogs, like French Bulldogs and English Bulldogs, the adoption fee will be significantly higher in order to offset the costs associated with their surgeries, or associated with their demand. Thanks so much for your interest, and we hope we are able to match you up with your next family member!!! Looking forward to your application!!!

Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Marbles ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I'm a sweet baby boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I am around one year old as of January 2024! WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I have been told that I am a whippet/pitty mix, but I may have other breeds mixed in there as well. I like to keep people guessing! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am a lean 40 pounds of fabulous! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am lean and springy, I have a light marbled brindle coat with gorgeous white accents. (Hence the name Marbles, get it?) WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love my kibble, I pretty much love all the treats, and PEANUT BUTTER, yum! If you give me all the treats, I will take them very gently. ☺️ WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I have two speeds. First, I have “All the Energy” mode!! I love jumping around when I am excited. I still have puppy energy, but I am learning to slow down when I am told do. Then, there is the “Cuddle” mode. I love to catch my human on the couch or bed and just snuggle up for a good movie, some pets, and a snooze. I am super shy around new people, but once I warm up, I will do everything to make you happy. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY My perfect day would be a good breakfast and a nice long walk to get the day started. And on the MOST fun day, we would head out into the world for some adventures. I am a big fan of the outdoors: I love to go camping, on a hike, or to a large yard to run around. You could throw a ball for me or play tug-o-war with one of my many toys! But I’m not always go, go, go… I am also happy to just hang out with you while you do your thing or maybe have a dog friend to play with for a little while. Lastly, we would cuddle for a few hours before crashing and that would be the best day ever! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love ALL the toys! The squeakers! The balls, big and small! Interactive toys! Tug toys! Food filled toys! Towel rolling - I love towels! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know all the basic obedience commands - sit, down, off, wait, stay, leave it, watch me, touch and shake! I am told I am super smart, but I am still learning and can get distracted quickly. Hey, I’m a puppy still, right? Patience and consistency will have me dazzling you and your friends with my fancy tricks! WHAT SCARES YOU? Nothing much scares me, but strangers make me nervous. It just takes me a little while to warm up. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have been around kids a little, and I am not really a fan. They just do not understand I get nervous, which makes me even more nervous. I would prefer to be with older children or adults. DO YOU LIKE CATS? No, thank you. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I like other dogs with slow introductions! I would love to play with other dogs, but none of my foster brothers like to play, so having a doggy brother or sister to romp around with would be just the BEST! I am uncomfortable with other dogs while I am on a leash, but I am getting better at that with practice. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Next to my human! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? Great! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with three adults: my foster mom, foster dad, and grandma. There are three resident dogs of various sizes, too. My favorite human is my foster mom because we bonded at the beginning of my stay while she gave me my meds and stayed with me until I felt comfortable. She has taught me so much and I am the happy boy that I am today because of her dedication to my training. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I like being in my crate, and it keeps me safe and cozy. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Also in my crate, but I would love to sleep on the cozy bed too. Did I mention I'm a great cuddler? DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love walks! I'm a little bit of a puller, but I am working on that and with patience and consistency, I will learn to be the best companion on walks. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I like to have my own stuff like toys and food and can be a little possessive if a new person or dog tries to take it away. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I sure am! I was potty trained at a very young age! I am such a good boy... I have never had an accident! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I love drinking water! I look pretty goofy drinking it but it is just so yummy and fun! I also don't mind showers, baths, or rain as long as you are there with me. And I am the best companion on your water sports adventures. I love going on the water with boats and paddle boards, but I haven’t done too much swimming. I am always up for new things, so I might love it if given a chance. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that they always play with me and that they are very patient and willing to work with me on my nervousness around people. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was brought to the vet with a broken right foreleg when I was around four months old. I had no chip or collar and, sadly, nobody claimed me. I honestly don't know how I got there, but I was lucky that NorCal Bully Breed Rescue took me in and allowed me to heal in a safe happy environment. And now that I am all healed, I am ready for my forever home! Will you be the one to show me how much fun my life can be with a loving family? ***MARBLES' ADOPTION FEE IS $300*** If you are interested in adopting Marbles, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application- www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Johnny ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a boy HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born in September 2023! WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a little bit of everything, but mostly Pit Bull and American Staffordshire Terrier. Any other breeds you want to guess that might be mixed in there, you’ll probably be right! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am about 50 pounds of handsomeness! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a beautiful reddish brown coat and stunning green eyes! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love my kibble and anything else my humans give me. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a perfect balance between cuddle bug and playful puppy. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY My perfect day is eating, playing really hard, napping even harder, and then repeating everything. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I really like a spikey ball and squeaky toys. Squeaky toys are so fun! And one of my favorite things to play is fetch! Whoever came up with this game is a genius! I get to run back and forth AND have a ball at the same time?!? Amazing! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know how to sit! And I wait patiently when foster mom says “stay.” I’m thinking it’s time for some sort of public recognition of my accomplishment, don’t you think? A medal or trophy? This stuff was hard to learn! WHAT SCARES YOU? I am a little cautious of people in the big outside world, but once I get used to someone, they’re my best friend. I am not really afraid of anything in particular though. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? There aren’t any living in my foster home, but we have a 9-year-old that visits and she is a lot of fun. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I haven’t met one yet. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I LOVE them! I love playing with my foster sister and a puppy friend named Willy. When I get tired of playing with all my doggy friends, I crawl in my foster mom’s lap and cuddle. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Next to my humans being cuddled or wrestling with my foster sister. She is a lot of fun! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? Great!! I am a healthy young boy and my whole life is ahead of me. WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with two adults: my foster mom and foster dad. They have a 25-pound Frenchie and their grand-puppy, Willy, comes over to hang out a lot. My favorite human is my foster mom because she gives me lots of attention and treats when I potty outside. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? Safely in my crate WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Also in my crate DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love it! I love going for walks and I do great on a leash. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I am young so I still need direction sometimes. I am a very good boy, but occasionally I get mischievous and will run off with a shoe if you leave it sitting there for me. (I mean, why else would there be a shoe… or a dish towel… or a sock … just lying around at my level, right?) But I’m pretty good about giving it back after you notice my shenanigans. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Oh yeah, I’ve got that all under control now! Smart boy! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I love playing with water from the hose in the yard! Oh boy, is that a good time! I could chase the water around for hours if there wasn’t so much other fun stuff to play with! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love to cuddle with them and I really love playing with my foster sister. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was living with my mom and littermates outdoors. I have a great future thanks to 4RFriends and NorCal Bully Breed Rescue partnering to take in me and my sister, who has already been adopted. Now it’s my turn to find a family that will love me forever! Maybe you can be my person? **JOHNNY’S ADOPTION FEE IS $100.00** If you are interested in JOHNNY please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas.
