Story
I name the dog Rocky. I found him wondering in our neighborhood. I felt that he was abandoned. So I brought him home and 2 try to find him a new home. We had a few people inquire about him. I had my girlfriend's sister and her boyfriend to take him home, but I guess apparently he didn't work out because she had a cat. I want him to go to work nice home because I do not feel. He should go to a shelter because I know what shelters do. He is a wonderful dog. He listens into command he love's children And other people other animals. I would recommend a introduction. You must take some time to get used to another dog or cat. But other than that, he is a great loving dog. If you ask him to go pee and poop, he will go P e e and poop.

Story
Senior Alert!! Sherman is 11.5 yrs old (DOB 08.30.12). He’s the absolute best boy with other dogs of all sizes. He does prefer a home without any cats. Sherman would do well in a home with older children. He is an absolute love, who is happy cuddling up on the couch with his humans and snuggling, but despite his age he also LOVES his daily walks. Sherman is now almost completely deaf, and has trouble seeing in the dark because of changes in his eyes due to age. But, he’s still extremely strong when on walks or even playing. He knows basic obedience commands and is crate trained, house trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He would do best in a home with somebody who is home almost always as he does have some separation anxiety. Sherman is not a SacRDR rescue dog. He is one of our foster's rehoming projects. She is a Vet Tech and is in the process of starting her own rescue. We fully back her and her dogs. We have collaborated on rehoming several dogs with her and the dogs are stable grounded animals. If you are interested in Sherman we will refer you to our foster. An application and home inspection will be required. Interested in meeting Sherman? BamBam was saved from Stanislaus Shelter hours before being euthanized. And what an amazing save he's been! BamBam is a pretty chill dude. He seems to enjoy the company of other dogs with proper and slow introductions. He currently lives with a 15 pound male dog now without issue. We are working with BamBam on leash manners. We are pretty sure he has allergies but are not quite sure exactly what is causing them, we a figuring that out. BamBam is a big love bug and couch potato. Interested in meeting BamBam? Story
Meet Dutton! Sweet Dutton is looking for his forever home! He was pulled from the Stockton Shelter at approximately 4 months old after being found running stray with another puppy, and had a bit of a rough start after developing a vaccine reaction that resulted in temporary distemper symptoms. Luckily with time and care he recovered quickly, and has been fairly healthy ever since! Dutton loves his people. He lives with dogs his size of both sexes; when introduced properly he can be playful and he loves his canine foster siblings. Cats and small dogs are not a fit. Dutton is listed as 'Special Needs' due to allergies and anxiety. After all he's been through he's an extra sensitive soul, and is beginning a behavioral training course with a reputable trainer based out of the Sacramento area to work through those anxious tendencies and help him learn to feel safe and secure in new situations. He would do best with a foster or adopter who worked from home (or spends time at home frequently) as he is a bit of a velcro dog. The ideal foster or adopter for Dutton will be willing to participate in training with him - the costs of this upcoming course have been covered by the rescue and are included in his adoption fee. Allergy-wise, Dutton had a full allergen panel completed after experiencing a skin reaction, and is now known to be sensitive to peanuts, soy/legumes, and tumbleweeds (of all things!). He is currently undergoing an immunotherapy treatment to alleviate his reactions to these allergens, which we hope will lessen the need for regular allergy medications in the future. Interested in meeting Dutton? Let us know! *Call or text 833-473-7364 or *Send an email to adopt@sacrdr.org (including your phone number) or *Message us on social media @resilientdogrescue or *Inquire using the Adopt a Pet system - be sure to include your phone number We look forward to hearing from you! Story
Introducing Georgie!! We describe George as being the best of both worlds. A project dog with unlimited potential. He is not for everyone, but whoever makes a commitment to this boy will not be disappointed. He is loyal, potty trained, and one of the best snuggle monkeys we have ever met. He really does know how to snooze (as seen from the posted posted, lol). He is adorable as he can be and has absolutely zero stranger danger. He loves meeting new people! He loves squeaky toys, kongs, nylabones, and playing tug of war. He loves going for walks and would be a great hiking partner. We'd peg him as having medium energy, and is a blast to hang out with. He's treat motivated and super eager to please, which makes his training super easy!! George is young and needs a gentle guidance and direction to be the best boy he can be. He gets overstimulated by certain things and can sometimes get mouthy when he does. He needs an owner who recognizes his triggers and recognizes the need to manage him around those triggers. He had anxiety around being crated, but has made amazing progress. He now knows that the crate is his safe place, and can often be found snoozing away in his crate. Georgie does best on a chain leash, as he has been known to chew through any other kind. However, with training we have been able to nearly curb this behavior. He is doing extremely well in his foster home and would do best with an owner who is invested in continuing his training. Georgie is a great boy and whatever effort is put forth to helping him reach his full potential will be returned tenfold! Interested in meeting Georgie and giving him the life he deserves? Story
Meet Mallory! Mallory is the dog version of a sprite. She is always happy and excited about life! She will self pacify with her toys, she goes out on a skateboard run daily for 45 minutes (pulls the rider, foster's neighbor) and is very athletic. Mallory's play style is rough, so not all dogs appreciate her energy, but she does very well with like minded dogs. She is fine spending the day at home, excited to see you when you get home and just wants to sit on your lap (she does need to learn about personal space) and watch tv in the evenings. She is high energy when needed but is happy as long as she is with her person. Mallory is a Stanislaus Shelter Survivor. We made contact with her original owners and know a lot about her background. She was an adorable puppy. You can see the love in her eyes. Interested in meeting Mallory? Story
Alyssa is a happy, playful, sweet, affectionate, and loving companion who has been on a few outings with Placer SPCA volunteers to get a break from shelter life. Most recently she was hosted for two nights by two of our foster volunteers in their Sun City home. They shared that, "Alyssa met the neighbor's dogs on the first morning and enjoyed a walk with them. She enjoys playing with soft squeaky toys, chasing a ball, cuddling on the sofa, going for car rides, romping around the backyard, and meeting new people. Alyssa is house-trained and was well-behaved in the car, enjoying sniffing the air when the window was rolled down a few inches. She easily hopped into their SUV, but needed a lift out of the car as she was cautious of the big step down. Alyssa used a doggie step to get onto the sofa and up to the bed. She sleeps through the night curled up at the foot of the bed, and each morning she greeted our volunteers with a wagging tail and warm cuddles. She was asked to "sit" and "wait" while her food bowl was set down for her. Overall, Alyssa is an obedient, well-behaved, and happy dog with polite manners. She is great company on the sofa, lying next to you and rolling over for belly rubs (she loves belly rubs). Our volunteers live on a golf course and she never barked at golfers or wildlife." Alyssa is recommended for kids age 5+. She may do well with other dogs in her new home after a slow introduction. ***Check out my video by clicking "play" under my photos!***Adoption fee: WaivedMonthly Promotion Applies

Story
Meet Princess, a young, vibrant soul whose energy is infectious. She's independent, always exploring her surroundings with a curious spirit. Despite her independent streak, she's incredibly loyal, always returning to the side of those she trusts. Her sweetness is undeniable, as she greets everyone with a wagging tail and a friendly nudge. Princess loves to play and would make a great companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. But don't let her energy fool you, she also enjoys a good cuddle session. Princess is a true friend, one who will stand by your side through thick and thin. She's waiting for a forever home where she can share her loyalty, energy, and sweetness. Adopt Princess, not just because she's a wonderful dog, but because she has so much love to give and deserves a family who will return that love in kind. Princess is still learning her manners and likes to jump up on her friends, so we recommend that any children in her new home are age 10 or older. She is selective of the other dogs that she shares her space with so we will be providing dog introductions to potential adopters who already have a canine companion at home.Adoption Price: $150

Meet Debo, a charismatic canine who exudes an air of independence. His boundless energy is infectious, and he loves nothing more than to share it with those around him. Debo's friendly nature is a testament to his loyalty, always eager to make new friends and strengthen bonds with his old ones. He's a dog who knows how to enjoy life, taking each day as it comes with a wagging tail and a spirited bark. Debo's self-reliant nature, however, does not mean he doesn't crave companionship. He's a steadfast friend, a loyal companion, and a source of unending joy. If you're looking for a dog who will stand by your side, make you laugh, and give you a reason to look forward to each day, Debo is your guy. His adoption would mean a home filled with laughter, energy, and the purest form of love that only a pet can provide. Debo likes his independence so we recommend that any children in his new home are age 5 or older so they can understand his boundaries. He is selective of the other dogs he shares his space with so we will be providing dog introductions to potential adopters who already have a canine companion at home to see if Debo will be a match for his new friend.Adoption Price: $200Monthly Promo Applies

Story
***At this time we are ONLY doing adoptions within the immediate Sacramento area. Please fill out an adoption application on our website.*** My name is LOLA, aka LalalalaLola, Lolita Mamacita, Lowes, Lolo. (My humans love nicknames.) I answer to all of them, especially if there's food or a rubdown involved. My humans called me Lola because I am low to the ground. I think I'm just aerodynamic. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I’m 9 years old! I came to my humans with four itty bitty puppies, which I cared for and played with, until they got their new homes. I am proud to say I raised beautiful, if rambunctious, pups! My perfect day is: get up; stretch in my crate; eat breakfast; go outside and potty; sunbathe in the backyard (I know all the best places to go as the sun moves); hangout and watch TV with my humans for awhile (especially Animal Planet, I sleep if the news is on); hang out in my crate until the big guy gets home; go for a walk; eat dinner; go potty and watch some TV before bed. I am learning good manners. I know sit, down, leave it and off. I obey about 80% of the time. I also know to wait for my food and to wait to be invited in the house or out the gate. I am a work in progress. With consistency I'm a fast learner and love to make my humans happy. I love to fetch exactly 2.5 times, with great enthusiasm. My favorite toy is...I'm not sure. I eat them before I grow to like them. But a frozen cow bone section keeps me happy for months. I love humans of all shapes and sizes. Cuddling is my favorite game. My humans say I can't hold my licker, but I think they secretly love it. It's really hard to keep all my love inside. I gotta let it fly! I prefer to be the only dog in the house. I really like watching them on TV, but don't see the need to share my home with them. With all this love, why would you want more than me? I have a very waggy tail, a happy-go-lucky disposition, and am about 9 years old. Give me a home and I'll give you all my love and my very best efforts to melt your heart! Lola should be the only pet in the house. She prefers to be able to only have to share her love with her humans. 💗💗💗 The adoption fee for Lola is $300 Interested in meeting this dog or another one of our available dogs? Simply complete and submit our adoption application on our website www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org (FROM YOUR HOME COMPUTER, not cell phones, yet! We’re working on that!!) and we will respond to you within 3-5 days. Once a yard check is completed and you’ve passed the adoption process, you’re welcome to meet any of our dogs!!! NorCal Bully Breed Rescue (NBBR) is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread throughout the Sacramento area. We require our adopters to be within a 50 mile radius of us. This is because we need to do a physical yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. (*FaceTime or Skype are NOT acceptable methods of communication regarding yard checks.) We HAVE made exceptions for dogs that have been with us long term, and for senior dogs. We would still need to perform a yard check, and would be happy to do so for a dog that has been passed over repeatedly, but not for dogs that are in high demand. It would need to be to a neighboring state to California. NOT across the country. That would be too much. (*We will NOT be making this exception for puppies or designer breed dogs, so please don’t ask. It’s way too much for us to have to request time off of work and lose pay to drive a dog out of area when we have plenty of great homes in our area wanting to adopt these dogs.) We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and typically range from $200-$500. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary). In the case of designer breed dogs, like French Bulldogs and English Bulldogs, the adoption fee will be significantly higher in order to offset the costs associated with their surgeries, or associated with their demand. Thanks so much for your interest, and we hope we are able to match you up with your next family member!!! Looking forward to your application!!!
