Story
Meet Mallory! Mallory is the dog version of a sprite. She is always happy and excited about life! She will self pacify with her toys, she goes out on a skateboard run daily for 45 minutes (pulls the rider, foster's neighbor) and is very athletic. Mallory's play style is rough, so not all dogs appreciate her energy, but she does very well with like minded dogs. She is fine spending the day at home, excited to see you when you get home and just wants to sit on your lap (she does need to learn about personal space) and watch tv in the evenings. She is high energy when needed but is happy as long as she is with her person. Mallory is a Stanislaus Shelter Survivor. We made contact with her original owners and know a lot about her background. She was an adorable puppy. You can see the love in her eyes. Interested in meeting Mallory? Story
Noah needs a hero. A quiet home with a patient guardian. Noah is a save from Bradshaw! His only issue was his stranger danger with men. He loves other dogs and toys/play. He is about 1.5 years old (a/o May 2013). Noah had severe stranger danger and mostly to men. Clearly he has suffered at the hands of a man. Noah is very smart and high energy. He loves to play fetch, chase toys and hang from his tree toys. He has made tremendous progress with his current foster and loves his dad. He uses play to build trust. So playing with him is the first step. Once he trusts you, you are in. He is the highest jumper we have ever seen but he has not tried to escape. If he is to be kenneled at any point it should be a covered kennel or he needs to be supervised. But he has never escaped to date. Or really tried to, that we've noticed. Noah loves other dogs. That is his strongest and best trait. He can be in any situation, even a pack of dogs ( play group) and he excels. He loves to play. Play is his love language. Because of Noah's stranger danger he has not been exposed to children. So he does have special needs. As until he really trusts you , he should not be introduced to new people. Once that bond is built he will learn to trust, the progress should be consistent and slow. We can share ways to introduce Noah to new people. But it is stressful for him. Especially if they are men. So a quiet, not too busy with traffic home, would be best. The perfect home for Noah would be one with a large yard, where he can run. He was on a farm with horses, donkeys, llamas and he was curious but pretty indifferent. The fences need to be fairly high and if there are some trees to hang some toys from , he will keep himself busy for days. Lots of ball play. He does not need to go anywhere. He can be a home dog. He will need slow introductions to people and always done the same way so he knows what to expect or just put him in his crate when you have company. He is crate trained and if he has some toys he will just hang out. He deserves a home of his own. He has been in boarding , where he learned to trust strangers, but is now in a foster home and we have learned so much about him. He loves the people he trusts. He is a special case and honestly is what rescue is about. A special dog that is worked with so he gets a second chance. Take a chance on this boy. Noah needs a hero. He is not the easiest dog but he is worth the effort. Interested in meeting Noah? Story
Meet Dutton! Sweet Dutton is looking for his forever home! He was pulled from the Stockton Shelter at approximately 4 months old after being found running stray with another puppy, and had a bit of a rough start after developing a vaccine reaction that resulted in temporary distemper symptoms. Luckily with time and care he recovered quickly, and has been fairly healthy ever since! Dutton loves his people. He lives with dogs his size of both sexes; when introduced properly he can be playful and he loves his canine foster siblings. Cats and small dogs are not a fit. Dutton is listed as 'Special Needs' due to allergies and anxiety. After all he's been through he's an extra sensitive soul, and is beginning a behavioral training course with a reputable trainer based out of the Sacramento area to work through those anxious tendencies and help him learn to feel safe and secure in new situations. He would do best with a foster or adopter who worked from home (or spends time at home frequently) as he is a bit of a velcro dog. The ideal foster or adopter for Dutton will be willing to participate in training with him - the costs of this upcoming course have been covered by the rescue and are included in his adoption fee. Allergy-wise, Dutton had a full allergen panel completed after experiencing a skin reaction, and is now known to be sensitive to peanuts, soy/legumes, and tumbleweeds (of all things!). He is currently undergoing an immunotherapy treatment to alleviate his reactions to these allergens, which we hope will lessen the need for regular allergy medications in the future. Interested in meeting Dutton? Story
Introducing Georgie!! We describe George as being the best of both worlds. A project dog with unlimited potential. He is not for everyone, but whoever makes a commitment to this boy will not be disappointed. He is loyal, potty trained, and one of the best snuggle monkeys we have ever met. He really does know how to snooze (as seen from the posted posted, lol). He is adorable as he can be and has absolutely zero stranger danger. He loves meeting new people! He loves squeaky toys, kongs, nylabones, and playing tug of war. He loves going for walks and would be a great hiking partner. We'd peg him as having medium energy, and is a blast to hang out with. He's treat motivated and super eager to please, which makes his training super easy!! George is young and needs a gentle guidance and direction to be the best boy he can be. He gets overstimulated by certain things and can sometimes get mouthy when he does. He needs an owner who recognizes his triggers and recognizes the need to manage him around those triggers. He had anxiety around being crated, but has made amazing progress. He now knows that the crate is his safe place, and can often be found snoozing away in his crate. Georgie does best on a chain leash, as he has been known to chew through any other kind. However, with training we have been able to nearly curb this behavior. He is doing extremely well in his foster home and would do best with an owner who is invested in continuing his training. Georgie is a great boy and whatever effort is put forth to helping him reach his full potential will be returned tenfold! Interested in meeting Georgie and giving him the life he deserves? Story
Meet Yeti! Yeti does not have any special needs. He does not need an experienced adopter but we will need to teach the new handler how to introduce him to dogs. He is very energetic. The only concern with children is his exuberance. We are working on impulse control. He will just love on kids and jump on them right now. With cats he has a moderate interest in his fosters dog-savvy cats. He has done well with them, but will probably torture (because he won't leave them alone) a less confident cats. Cats should always have an escape route available from all dogs. . Yeti's puppy-like exuberance means not every dog is going to like him. He is learning manners from Banjo and the other resident dogs. He simply wants to play and once the other dogs realize that they are pretty tolerant and will play with him. He has even worn down Stella the senior to the point that she plays a little with him. Yeti is playful, friendly, affectionate, gentle, smart, funny, athletic and his favorite toys are rope toys, bones, squeaky stuffed toys. He LOVES tug of war. He is great at self-play. Give him a toy and he will entertain himself for a long while. Don't give him a toy and he will make something else into one. Training Needs: impulse control. Working on look, sit, stay, leave it. He has begun agility lessons and loves it - very enthusiastic jumper, jumps about 2x as high as needs to. Medical needs: just needs to gain a little weight and should be kept on flea preventive as he does have an allergy to fleas. Activity level: moderate - needs daily walks and play time Favorite activities: long walks, runs, training sessions, couch time, tug of war, keep away/chase games. Interested in meeting Yeti? Story
Ashton is a smart and loyal female dog. She is friendly and affectionate, loves to play, and enjoys the company of humans. She would make a great companion to someone who doesn't desire their dog to be a part of every aspect of their social life. Ashton is a homebody. Ashton is independent and knows how to entertain herself. She also enjoys being a couch potato, and cuddling up with her favorite humans is one of her happiest activities! Small children make her very nervous, so she needs to be in a kid free environment. Ashton also is not comfortable with other dogs, so a family looking for a single pet is her best match. Consequently finding a home for her has been a challenge. But we know her people are out there! Ashton is an adult dog. She has plenty of energy and lots of love to give a family. We hope that Ashton will find her forever home with a family who can give her the love and care she deserves. 833-473-7364 leave a vm or text us. Email us at resilientdogrescue@gmail.com. If ever a dog needed rescue, it is Ashton. Someone just needs to give her a chance.

Story
Say hello to Jeffrey! When Jeff arrived, he was a little on the thin side and a little nervous. But since his arrival two weeks ago, he's put on a bit of weight and shown us that he has a playful side! He's been a polite houseguest - not one accident - is quiet and keeps his space clean. Jeffrey is crate trained, and has shown that he might be dog social with proper and slow introductions. Jeffrey has a tuxedo coat - a beautiful black and white. He's got four white "socks" and white chest and white on the tip of his tail! He's also got a sprinkling of gray around his muzzle, which makes him look "mature." His foster thinks Jeffrey is young - around 2ish years old - and his vet agrees! Jeffrey is learning to walk nicely on leash, and is getting better everyday! He knows the "sit" command and is learning other commands too. Jeffrey is treat motivated, which helps with his training. He has been completely non-reactive to other dogs and bicycles, skateboarders and scooters during our walks. Although Jeff is a bit shy when meeting new people, but warms up quickly, and eagerly solicits affection. He enjoys evening snuggle sessions, and is generally a gentle boy. He does get excited from time to time, and will do a few zoomies around the house. He's also got the cutest submissive grin! He is a good boy who just wants to be loved. Interested in meeting Jeffrey? Let us know! Jeffrey is being fostered thru Better World Rescue, but we are helping facilitate this adoption. *Call or text 833-473-7364 or *Send an email to sacrdroperations@gmail.com (including your phone number) or *Message us on social media @resilientdogrescue or *Inquire using the Adopt a Pet system - be sure to include your phone number We look forward to hearing from you!
