Story
Introducing London! She is a beautiful pittie mix who was out of time in the shelter.  Her estimated dob is 3/1/24 and should be around 50 to 55lbs full grown. London is doing well.  She is a typical puppy who needs rules and boundaries.  She is easily redirected to her toys.  She does like to dig a little and explore the yard.  She is doing great with the other pack members in the house.  She is an exhuberant player. We are walking in the neighborhood.  She is also learning basic commands.  She is also getting used to a crate.  Potty training is ongoing but we are progressing.  Car rides are also going well.  Cats are unknown. London's wish list: 1.   secure yard 2.   no small children 3.   Obedience training necessary 4.   Daily walks 5.   Continued socialization     Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Meet Bruce, a dog with a heart full of love. This friendly fellow has a personality that will brighten your day. He's independent, living life on his own terms, yet always ready for a friendly pat. His goofy antics are sure to bring a smile to your face, while his gentle demeanor makes him a calming presence. Despite his age, Bruce has a zest for life that is infectious. He is not just a pet, but a companion, a friend, and a source of unconditional love. Adopting Bruce means inviting joy, laughter, and a loyal friend into your life. Give Bruce the loving home he deserves. Bruce has a history of separation anxiety and will need some extra special care to feel comfortable in his new home. Because of this, we are recommending that any children in his new home are age 5 or older and are requiring that his new family commit to continuing his behavior medication while he adjusts to his new environment. He also prefers a single animal household so we are requiring that there be no other cats or dogs in his new home. He will also not be allowed to visit dog parks.Adoption Price: $200Monthly Promo Applies

Story
Charlotte is a sweet, gentle lady looking for her new home. She is house trained, enjoys short to medium neighborhood walks, car rides, and cuddling with you. She loves to be nearby her people and will give you gentle kisses when you pet her. She knows sit, down, and wait and has started to learn "shake", too. Charlotte's favorite things are belly rubs, playing ball, going for car rides, and going for walks. Be aware that she loves to deconstruct her stuffed toys, so keep stuffed animals out of her reach unless you want a stuffing surprise! She walks nicely on leash, very little pulling. Charlotte spent a weekend with two of our foster volunteers and they learned that she is a low to medium energy dog with polite indoor manners. They shared, "When you are in the kitchen, she is nearby - but not underfoot. When you are on the sofa, she will be by your side. If you are snacking on the sofa, a gentle "no" will keep her from sneaking a bite off your plate. She is a happy dog who will sleep curled up in bed with you." They created a video so you can learn more about her, so be sure to click on the video link or scan the QR code on her habitat at Placer SPCA. Charlotte can be fearful in new spaces, so we are recommending that any children in her new home are age 10 or older so they can understand her needs. She can be selective with other dogs, so we are requiring that a dog introduction be completed prior to adoption. She may not visit dog parks.***Check out my video by clicking "play" under my photos!***Adoption Price: $200Monthly Promotion Applies.

Story
Rock Star is a fun, playful, happy, tail-wagging, ball-chasing boy! He keeps his room clean at the shelter, and loves joining his volunteer friends for his twice-daily neighborhood walks. This sweet dog is always wagging his tail... when he walks, he wags his tail - when you pet him, he wags his tail - when you toss him a ball, he wags his tail - when you look deep into his eyes and tell him how handsome he is, he wags his tail. He is also happy to show you his "sit" and his "down". The volunteers love to toss balls for him to chase, and scratch him behind the ears while he chews on his toys. So grab a tennis ball and come on down to meet Rock Star. He doesn't have the best manners with other dogs, so we are requiring that he goes to a single dog home and he should not go to dog parks. ***Check out my video by clicking "play" under my photos!***Adoption fee: WaivedMonthly Promotion Applies.

Meet Princess, a young, vibrant soul whose energy is infectious. She's independent, always exploring her surroundings with a curious spirit. Despite her independent streak, she's incredibly loyal, always returning to the side of those she trusts. Her sweetness is undeniable, as she greets everyone with a wagging tail and a friendly nudge. Princess loves to play and would make a great companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. But don't let her energy fool you, she also enjoys a good cuddle session. Princess is a true friend, one who will stand by your side through thick and thin. She's waiting for a forever home where she can share her loyalty, energy, and sweetness. Adopt Princess, not just because she's a wonderful dog, but because she has so much love to give and deserves a family who will return that love in kind. Princess is still learning her manners and likes to jump up on her friends, so we recommend that any children in her new home are age 10 or older. She is selective of the other dogs that she shares her space with so we will be providing dog introductions to potential adopters who already have a canine companion at home.Adoption Price: $150Monthly Promotion Applies.

Meet Dagobah, a dog with a personality as intriguing as his name. Independent by nature, Dagobah has a knack for exploring his surroundings with a curiosity that is simply contagious. His intelligence is evident in the way he quickly learns new commands and tricks. Dagobah is also full of energy, always ready for a game of fetch or a brisk walk. But don't let his active nature fool you; he's equally content with quiet moments of relaxation. Dagobah's unique blend of independence and curiosity, combined with his intelligence and energy, makes him a perfect companion for anyone seeking a loyal, entertaining, and smart friend. His adoption will not just bring joy to your life, but also give Dagobah the loving home he deserves. Dagobah is an independent boy and does not like to be touched on his legs or feet. ***At this time we are ONLY doing adoptions within the immediate Sacramento area. Please fill out an adoption application on our website.*** My name is LOLA, aka LalalalaLola, Lolita Mamacita, Lowes, Lolo. (My humans love nicknames.) I answer to all of them, especially if there's food or a rubdown involved. My humans called me Lola because I am low to the ground. I think I'm just aerodynamic. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I’m 9 years old! I came to my humans with four itty bitty puppies, which I cared for and played with, until they got their new homes. I am proud to say I raised beautiful, if rambunctious, pups! My perfect day is: get up; stretch in my crate; eat breakfast; go outside and potty; sunbathe in the backyard (I know all the best places to go as the sun moves); hangout and watch TV with my humans for awhile (especially Animal Planet, I sleep if the news is on); hang out in my crate until the big guy gets home; go for a walk; eat dinner; go potty and watch some TV before bed. I am learning good manners. I know sit, down, leave it and off. I obey about 80% of the time. I also know to wait for my food and to wait to be invited in the house or out the gate. I am a work in progress. With consistency I'm a fast learner and love to make my humans happy. I love to fetch exactly 2.5 times, with great enthusiasm. My favorite toy is...I'm not sure. I eat them before I grow to like them. But a frozen cow bone section keeps me happy for months. I love humans of all shapes and sizes. Cuddling is my favorite game. My humans say I can't hold my licker, but I think they secretly love it. It's really hard to keep all my love inside. I gotta let it fly! I prefer to be the only dog in the house. I really like watching them on TV, but don't see the need to share my home with them. With all this love, why would you want more than me? I have a very waggy tail, a happy-go-lucky disposition, and am about 9 years old. Give me a home and I'll give you all my love and my very best efforts to melt your heart! Lola should be the only pet in the house. She prefers to be able to only have to share her love with her humans. 💗💗💗 The adoption fee for Lola is $300 Interested in meeting this dog or another one of our available dogs? Simply complete and submit our adoption application on our website www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org (FROM YOUR HOME COMPUTER, not cell phones, yet! We’re working on that!!) and we will respond to you within 3-5 days. Once a yard check is completed and you’ve passed the adoption process, you’re welcome to meet any of our dogs!!! NorCal Bully Breed Rescue (NBBR) is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread throughout the Sacramento area. We require our adopters to be within a 50 mile radius of us. This is because we need to do a physical yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. (*FaceTime or Skype are NOT acceptable methods of communication regarding yard checks.) We HAVE made exceptions for dogs that have been with us long term, and for senior dogs. We would still need to perform a yard check, and would be happy to do so for a dog that has been passed over repeatedly, but not for dogs that are in high demand. It would need to be to a neighboring state to California. NOT across the country. That would be too much. (*We will NOT be making this exception for puppies or designer breed dogs, so please don’t ask. It’s way too much for us to have to request time off of work and lose pay to drive a dog out of area when we have plenty of great homes in our area wanting to adopt these dogs.) We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and typically range from $200-$500. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary). In the case of designer breed dogs, like French Bulldogs and English Bulldogs, the adoption fee will be significantly higher in order to offset the costs associated with their surgeries, or associated with their demand. Thanks so much for your interest, and we hope we are able to match you up with your next family member!!! Looking forward to your application!!!

Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Marbles ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I'm a sweet baby boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I am around one year old as of January 2024! WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I have been told that I am a whippet/pitty mix, but I may have other breeds mixed in there as well. I like to keep people guessing! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am a lean 40 pounds of fabulous! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am lean and springy, I have a light marbled brindle coat with gorgeous white accents. (Hence the name Marbles, get it?) WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love my kibble, I pretty much love all the treats, and PEANUT BUTTER, yum! If you give me all the treats, I will take them very gently. ☺️ WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I have two speeds. First, I have “All the Energy” mode!! I love jumping around when I am excited. I still have puppy energy, but I am learning to slow down when I am told do. Then, there is the “Cuddle” mode. I love to catch my human on the couch or bed and just snuggle up for a good movie, some pets, and a snooze. I am super shy around new people, but once I warm up, I will do everything to make you happy. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY My perfect day would be a good breakfast and a nice long walk to get the day started. And on the MOST fun day, we would head out into the world for some adventures. I am a big fan of the outdoors: I love to go camping, on a hike, or to a large yard to run around. You could throw a ball for me or play tug-o-war with one of my many toys! But I’m not always go, go, go… I am also happy to just hang out with you while you do your thing or maybe have a dog friend to play with for a little while. Lastly, we would cuddle for a few hours before crashing and that would be the best day ever! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love ALL the toys! The squeakers! The balls, big and small! Interactive toys! Tug toys! Food filled toys! Towel rolling - I love towels! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know all the basic obedience commands - sit, down, off, wait, stay, leave it, watch me, touch and shake! I am told I am super smart, but I am still learning and can get distracted quickly. Hey, I’m a puppy still, right? Patience and consistency will have me dazzling you and your friends with my fancy tricks! WHAT SCARES YOU? Nothing much scares me, but strangers make me nervous. It just takes me a little while to warm up. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have been around kids a little, and I am not really a fan. They just do not understand I get nervous, which makes me even more nervous. I would prefer to be with older children or adults. DO YOU LIKE CATS? No, thank you. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I like other dogs with slow introductions! I would love to play with other dogs, but none of my foster brothers like to play, so having a doggy brother or sister to romp around with would be just the BEST! I am uncomfortable with other dogs while I am on a leash, but I am getting better at that with practice. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Next to my human! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? Great! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with three adults: my foster mom, foster dad, and grandma. There are three resident dogs of various sizes, too. My favorite human is my foster mom because we bonded at the beginning of my stay while she gave me my meds and stayed with me until I felt comfortable. She has taught me so much and I am the happy boy that I am today because of her dedication to my training. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I like being in my crate, and it keeps me safe and cozy. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Also in my crate, but I would love to sleep on the cozy bed too. Did I mention I'm a great cuddler? DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love walks! I'm a little bit of a puller, but I am working on that and with patience and consistency, I will learn to be the best companion on walks. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I like to have my own stuff like toys and food and can be a little possessive if a new person or dog tries to take it away. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I sure am! I was potty trained at a very young age! I am such a good boy... I have never had an accident! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I love drinking water! I look pretty goofy drinking it but it is just so yummy and fun! I also don't mind showers, baths, or rain as long as you are there with me. And I am the best companion on your water sports adventures. I love going on the water with boats and paddle boards, but I haven’t done too much swimming. I am always up for new things, so I might love it if given a chance. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that they always play with me and that they are very patient and willing to work with me on my nervousness around people. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was brought to the vet with a broken right foreleg when I was around four months old. I had no chip or collar and, sadly, nobody claimed me. I honestly don't know how I got there, but I was lucky that NorCal Bully Breed Rescue took me in and allowed me to heal in a safe happy environment. And now that I am all healed, I am ready for my forever home! Will you be the one to show me how much fun my life can be with a loving family? ***MARBLES' ADOPTION FEE IS $300*** If you are interested in adopting Marbles, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application- www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Johnny ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a boy HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born in September 2023! WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a little bit of everything, but mostly Pit Bull and American Staffordshire Terrier. Any other breeds you want to guess that might be mixed in there, you’ll probably be right! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am about 50 pounds of handsomeness! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a beautiful reddish brown coat and stunning green eyes! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love my kibble and anything else my humans give me. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a perfect balance between cuddle bug and playful puppy. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY My perfect day is eating, playing really hard, napping even harder, and then repeating everything. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I really like a spikey ball and squeaky toys. Squeaky toys are so fun! And one of my favorite things to play is fetch! Whoever came up with this game is a genius! I get to run back and forth AND have a ball at the same time?!? Amazing! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know how to sit! And I wait patiently when foster mom says “stay.” I’m thinking it’s time for some sort of public recognition of my accomplishment, don’t you think? A medal or trophy? This stuff was hard to learn! WHAT SCARES YOU? I am a little cautious of people in the big outside world, but once I get used to someone, they’re my best friend. I am not really afraid of anything in particular though. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? There aren’t any living in my foster home, but we have a 9-year-old that visits and she is a lot of fun. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I haven’t met one yet. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I LOVE them! I love playing with my foster sister and a puppy friend named Willy. When I get tired of playing with all my doggy friends, I crawl in my foster mom’s lap and cuddle. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Next to my humans being cuddled or wrestling with my foster sister. She is a lot of fun! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? Great!! I am a healthy young boy and my whole life is ahead of me. WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with two adults: my foster mom and foster dad. They have a 25-pound Frenchie and their grand-puppy, Willy, comes over to hang out a lot. My favorite human is my foster mom because she gives me lots of attention and treats when I potty outside. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? Safely in my crate WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Also in my crate DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love it! I love going for walks and I do great on a leash. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I am young so I still need direction sometimes. I am a very good boy, but occasionally I get mischievous and will run off with a shoe if you leave it sitting there for me. (I mean, why else would there be a shoe… or a dish towel… or a sock … just lying around at my level, right?) But I’m pretty good about giving it back after you notice my shenanigans. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Oh yeah, I’ve got that all under control now! Smart boy! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I love playing with water from the hose in the yard! Oh boy, is that a good time! I could chase the water around for hours if there wasn’t so much other fun stuff to play with! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love to cuddle with them and I really love playing with my foster sister. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was living with my mom and littermates outdoors. I have a great future thanks to 4RFriends and NorCal Bully Breed Rescue partnering to take in me and my sister, who has already been adopted. Now it’s my turn to find a family that will love me forever! Maybe you can be my person? **JOHNNY’S ADOPTION FEE IS $100.00** If you are interested in JOHNNY please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! I’m Majik! It’s pronounced like “Magic,” because I am kinda magical. ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I’m a darling boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? Estimates say I am about nine years old. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am an American Bully! DNA tests confirmed that I’m 100 percent American Bully, but I don’t let my “purebred” status go to my head… we all knew I was perfect even before the DNA test! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I’m around 65 pounds. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a black coat with a white snout, chest and feet, and because I am a distinguished older gentleman, I also have some salt and pepper accents here and there. I am broad across the chest and medium height, and I only have one eye. More on that later. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I like kibble. I also eat any treat you give me, which makes me easier to train. Who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?? WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I’m a happy boy, who wags and wags and wags my tail when I see most humans. Even when I came into the shelter all beat-up and in so much pain, the medical staff commented on how my tail kept wagging and I was so friendly. Oh, and I love walks! At first, I charge along, like I have somewhere important to be, but my foster mom is working on that, and a front-clasp EasyWalk harness is helping. Also, once I do my business, I slow down a lot and really start to just smell the roses— er, grass and bushes. At home, I sleep a lot, because I am so relaxed and because I am a senior guy, who has lived a hard life (on hard surfaces) until now. I also love a good cuddle so much. I just push my enormous head against you and grunt like a pig. It is the cutest. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day would involve lots of movies and TV with my humans; endless snacks; slow, meandering wanders through wide, open spaces without other dogs; followed by naps on a blanket in the sun. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Oh boy, I have just learned how much fun toys are since I have been at my foster home! My absolute favorite toys are soft toys. I could chew those for hours! And I get a yummy frozen Kong at bedtime, which is the best way to end the day, right?! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I sit like a pro and I’m working on other commands like Stay, Wait and Down. I also know Shake. I might be nine years old, but I am smart and very treat-motivated! WHAT SCARES YOU? Other animals. Anything that moves in the distance. Loud roving groups of people. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? No, not yet. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I would have to say “no, thank you” to cats. I am very reactive to anything that moves outside, especially dogs and cats. There is a foster cat inside my home but I am being kept completely apart from her. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I have been through kind of a lot in my many years, and I would like to be the only dog in the house please. There is a foster dog inside my home, but I am being kept completely apart from her. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Wherever you are. And if I’m allowed on your couch, I think that’s gonna be my favorite spot in the house. I love my dog bed, too, though. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I think I am pretty healthy for an older guy. I had my teeth checked recently and there are a few cracked ones, but they said they did not look too bad overall. My foster mom is going to start brushing them soon! My blood panel looked good, too! I am starting to get a little creaky in my joints and so I have a slight limp but I am pretty spry for an older guy. WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and her wife, and they have a resident dog and a cat, but I have not met them yet and I don’t know that I ever will. I absolutely adore both my foster moms, but I spend most of my time with one of them, because she works from home and hangs out with me a lot. And she holds a special place in my heart because she’s the one who rescued me from the shelter. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? In the detached garage, where I am also living right now. You can see more below about why I am not crated. I have been trusted to be free when I am alone for almost a month, and I just like to lie around snoring. I am really such a good boy. I do not have separation anxiety and I do not destroy anything while I am out there alone. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep on one of my two beds in the detached garage where I live. My foster mom does not crate me. She did the first night and I slept so well there, because I was exhausted from the shelter. But the second night, when she crated me, I whimpered in the most pathetic way, she couldn’t stand it. I had already been through so much and she had watched me on camera already that day, so she was pretty sure I would not mess anything up if I was free to roam. And she was right! I was a perfect angel and just slept on one of my two beds all night. Oh, did I mention, too, that I snore like a freight train? DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I do! I pull a bit at first but my foster mom is working on that and my harness is helping. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I don’t know if you can call my reactivity a habit; it’s more like a part of my psyche at the moment. It does mean that I need your help to keep me calm and comfortable on our walks by choosing places that don’t have other dogs around to upset me. My foster mom is working on creating “new emotions” around this. But otherwise, no, I have no bad habits! I might stare at you when you are eating, but you can ignore me and I will give up and go away. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I’m potty-trained and I have not had a single accident! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I do not seem to mind it. I walk through puddles like they are not even there. I stand patiently for a bath and even though my foster mom put a raincoat on me recently to walk in the rain. (I looked so dapper and handsome in it!) I did not seem to mind at all when we both finished the walk soaking wet. Humans can be so cautious! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love their gentle pets, and how much they love and protect me. I get treats and I have a warm (or cool, depending on the time of year), dry, comfy place to sleep! Every day is a new adventure, filled with interesting smells, delicious food and new lessons. I love to learn. Even though I am a senior, I am not set in my ways! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? No one knows exactly, but I came into the shelter with severe trauma that vets determined had been inflicted upon me that day. They suspected a skull fracture and I also had puncture wounds from another dog. My right eye had to be removed and I had callouses all over my legs from having spent long hours lying on hard surfaces. I just wanted somewhere quiet to decompress and recover from everything, and I got it with my foster family. But I cannot live in their garage forever! While I am with them, they are spending tons of time with me, giving me love and training, and peace and quiet. But I do look forward to being inside a house one day. Will you please take me home with you and love me forever? I will be the cuddliest, most grateful creature you have ever known. **MAJIK’S ADOPTION FEE IS $100.00.** If you are interested in MAJIK, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hello! I am Martini! 🍸 ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I'm a girl. 🎀 HOW OLD ARE YOU? I think I'm about three years old. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am an American Bully mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am 50 svelte pounds. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I look like a lot of fun. 🥳 But, I'm also a stocky girl with a black/tri-colored coat and the hugest smile! So yeah, I’m gorgeous! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I'm not picky, but I do love some Royal Canin with a little topper of something delicious. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I'm a bunch of fun. I'm outgoing and love to run around. When I get going too fast, I'm like a twirly bird with my back legs. 🤪 DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: I love everything everyday. I'm super happy whether we're outside hanging out or lounging inside. I'm your gal! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I'm not really into toys. Occasionally, I'll chew on a Nylabone. 🦴 DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know how to eat all the food in my bowl. Pretty tricky, right? 😉 I come when called and I kennel up nicely. WHAT SCARES YOU? Not a thing. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I haven't been around young children. I think kids eight years and above would be best as I have some smooth moves that only older kids can appreciate. 😁 DO YOU LIKE CATS? No cats for me. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I like other dogs with a proper introduction. 🐶 IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Free fallin' in love with you. 💕 HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m all good! Nothing holding me back from enjoying all that life has to offer! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I hang out with several other dogs. We can run and play all day. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? In my 4 x 4 kennel that's indoors. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Same as above. 💤 DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? Sure do. DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? Not really. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) Yes I do! I’m such a good girl! 😇 DO YOU LIKE WATER? I like to drink water but no pools/ponds or lakes for me. I'm not a swimmer, I have more of a powerlifter physique. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? They took me in when no one else would. I was stuck at the shelter until they came and fell in love with me and took me home. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? That's water under the bridge. Nothing but great days ahead as long as I'm with you. Let’s have some fun! 💖 ⭐️MARTINI’s ADOPTION FEE IS $300.00⭐️ If you are interested in MARTINI, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? I’m Charlie! ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I am a very sweet boy. 💙 HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born right around the start of 2024. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a handsome pit bull mix!🐶 HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? Around 45 pounds right now! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am black and white, but in the sun I have areas where my fur looks chocolate brown. I have a really cute pink spot on the left side of my nose. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? Right now I am eating my Purina Pro Plan Puppy kibble. I also love treats! My foster mom also gives me some carrots, broccoli and strawberries and I think those are really yummy. 🥦🥕🍓 WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a super friendly boy! I have loved every single person I have met so far! I am super goofy, but I am also very sweet. I love to give kisses and pretend I am a lap dog. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day would include playing fetch with a toy or ball, snuggle with my human, take naps, chew on my squeaky balls, play with some dog friends, and go for a walk! I am really good in the car, so I think a day trip somewhere pretty would also be super fun! 🚙 WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I really love balls that squeak or big stuffed animals! I also really love to shred up toilet paper rolls! 🧻🤭 DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know sit, paw, and touch! WHAT SCARES YOU? I don’t think I have anything that my foster mom has discovered that scares me. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I have not been around children yet, but I think they would probably be pretty fun to play with. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I have not been around cats, so I am not sure if I like them. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I think other dogs are pretty cool, and I would love to play with them. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? In a cozy bed, chewing on my toys next to my humans and dog friends. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? Now that I have recovered from a fracture repair surgery, I am in perfect health! 🤩 WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom, and two bulldog mixes who are my foster brother and sister. I really love my foster mom, but I think my foster sister is pretty cool too. I love to give her kisses and try to play with her, even though she isn’t sure exactly how she feels about my puppy energy yet! WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang out in my crate! WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep overnight in my crate.😴 DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I am still learning how to walk on a leash nicely, but I think it is really fun to be out on a leash and be able to sniff lots of plants on my walks! 🐕‍🦺 DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? Sometimes I bark when my foster mom comes home, or when she has visitors, but I am responsive to correction! Sometimes when my foster mom has a long day at school, I make some holes in my cozy blankets. 😬 ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) I am still working on going potty outside! I am doing really well. I always go poop outside and I can go up to five to hours right now in my crate before needing to go out! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I love water! 💦 WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? My foster family gives me a really nice place to hang out while I am waiting for my forever family to find me. I am having fun hanging out with my foster siblings and I really like when we all hang out on the couch together while my foster mom does her school work. I also really love when my foster mom snuggles with me and gives me snacks when I do fun tricks! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO RESCUE? I was brought into the Stockton Animal Shelter, and I wasn’t using my right front leg properly. They took some x-rays and found out that I had a fracture which was already trying to heal on its own. OUCH! But I was still the sweetest boy. They brought me to UC Davis, where the nice people fixed my leg. Then one of the veterinary students took me home to heal so I can be healthy and happy for my forever home! Now NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is helping me to find my forever family. I would love to come home with you so we can play and cuddle and have so much fun together! 💕 ⭐️CHARLIE’S ADOPTION FEE IS $100.00.⭐️ If you are interested in CHARLIE, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sacramento- Meet Tootsie Roll, an adorable English Bulldog with a heart as sweet as her name. Tootsie Roll is a special pup, as she has Spina Bifida, a condition that affects her bladder and bowel control. Despite this, Tootsie Roll walks just fine, radiating joy with every step. To manage her incontinence, Tootsie Roll wears a diaper, a routine that, for those unfamiliar, is not as daunting as it may seem. It requires less than half an hour of care each day, and the more time without a diaper, the better off she is. This lovable Bulldog is, otherwise, a "normal" English Bulldog, complete with the charming quirks that make the breed so beloved. Tootsie Roll isn't a fan of hot weather, but the joys of diapers mean that outings are more flexible, especially during hot or rainy days. Despite facing the heartbreaking prospect of euthanasia due to her condition, Tootsie Roll's resilience shone through, and she is now ready to bring joy to a loving home. This happy and social girl adores attention, playtime, and, yes, she snores loud! Tootsie Roll would thrive in a home with another dog companion, relishing in playful interactions. However, humans willing to engage in tug-of-war and toss games will also find her to be the perfect playmate. Caring for a dog with Spina Bifida involves managing skin care and bowel and bladder functions, but this can be navigated through various approaches. Tootsie Roll's foster parent has found success by using a pen at night and during work hours to give her diaper-free time. For those interested in welcoming Tootsie Roll into their lives, the adoption process is conveniently available online at http://recycledpetsnorcal.org/adoptpet/. The adoption fee of $500 covers her spaying, microchipping, and up-to-date vaccines. This fee is waived for a home with a human also dealing with Spina Bifida, recognizing the unique connection that can be formed. To gain insights into caring for a dog with Spina Bifida, there's a helpful Facebook group dedicated to English Bulldogs with the condition. Additionally, for information on bowel management, the website https://www.handicappedpets.com/blog/bowel-management-incontinent-pets/ can be a valuable resource. Tootsie Roll is more than a pet; she's a testament to resilience and the capacity for love. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this special Bulldog, she is eagerly waiting for her perfect forever family.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 18, 2024, 12:09 am
