Story
Jake is house trained, enjoys neighborhood walks, car rides, golf cart rides, being brushed and petted, getting a bath, and being with you. He is a loyal dog who will lean into you when you pet him and he wags his tail with happiness. The Weimaraner breed is known for their light amber colored eyes - and grey/blue eyes, and Jake has one of each! It was fun for our foster volunteers to see how willing Jake was to try new things - jumping into the neighbor’s golf cart for a ride in Sun City, sampling a morning smoothie, walking into the shower and letting them give him a bath, showing off his obedience commands and his trick `shake`. He was such a good sport about everything he was introduced to. Jake walks nicely on leash, he keeps pace with you, but also likes to occasionally pause and sniff the flowers and bushes along the way. And he likes car rides. The very first time our volunteers opened the car door for Jake, he hopped right in. Jake loved it! While Jake is polite when meeting other dogs on neighborhood walks, he does want to be the only dog in his home and he wouldn’t enjoy visiting dog parks. He would also like not to live with cats. He doesn`t always want to share his things so any children in his new home should be age 10 or older. A consultation will be provided to Jake`s adopter to learn more about him and his individual needs. ***Check out my video by clicking `play` under my photos!***Adoption Fee: Fee Waived!

Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hello, new friend! My name is Fig! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am the MOST adorable young lady! HOW OLD ARE YOU? Best we can tell, I was probably born around May 2024. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am an adorable lowrider bully mix! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am around 35 pounds… the perfect weight to be carried around like a baby, in my opinion! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a wrinkly face, a cute underbite, and short chubby legs. My coloring is fawn, and, in the sun, I glow just like a beautiful star. My chest is gold and brown. I also have gorgeous light green eyes! My human says I am the most beautiful girl ever! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? Umm, easy! Everything! I typically get kibble mixed with a delicious soft topper and warm broth to fancy it up. I noticed that chicken makes me itchy, so my kibble and treats should be poultry-free please! Aside from this, I am not picky and will try just about anything. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a total sweetheart and a cuddle bug. Remember I said I like to be carried around? I meant it! I get to sit and cuddle with my human on the couch, love to lie on her, and want to be caressed all day long. Because I am young still, I also am very playful and love to fetch and nibble on my stuffies. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: I am an easy-going girl, whether that is an early morning rise or a later start, I am very patient in the morning until I am let out of my soft crate. I love to start with a nice stretch and make my way to the backyard to take care of business. After breakfast, I love to go on either a short walk or a car ride. I also love to lounge on the couch and rest my head on my human while she watches TV. After a rest, I am ready to get some play time in! And, since we’re talking about my perfect day, don’t forget the treats--any kind (even veggies!) are a big part of my day. I close with an evening walk and dinner before my beauty sleep. What a great day! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love my pink bouncy ball which can be stuffed with treats! I stay entertained and get my yummy on at the same time. I also love squeaky stuffies! I can sit and nibble on those for a long time! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? Yes! I know how to sit, go to my bed, go to my crate for meals, and I recently learned how to climb stairs and couches! Winning! I am working on stay and leash training. My “stay” is getting better every day! WHAT SCARES YOU? I definitely do not like loud noises. When I am home in my pen and my human is away, she turns on the TV for me with soft music, which helps me settle. I am making friends with the vacuum cleaner and the blender— but those things still seem pretty suspicious, if you ask me. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have observed kids on walks, and I am pretty calm, even if they are zooming around on bikes or scooters. I have recently had a chance to interact with older kids (12+) and did great! I am still working on not jumping up, so I would appreciate a home with older kids, please. DO YOU LIKE CATS? Hmmm… I haven’t been around any cats, so I am not sure if I would like them. Probably better if we stick to dog friends for me. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I live with a 16-year-old grumpy old man chiweenie dog right now. I am trying very hard to get him to play with me, but he is definitely not interested. I am not a resource guarder, so if he is interested in playing with a toy that I am enjoying, I will share nicely. Anytime I see dogs on my walks, I observe them and then go on my merry way. I think I would do fine with most dogs with slow introductions. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I would be right on the couch, lying comfortably right next to my human or perhaps with my head on them. I also like a big cuddle and can fall asleep in your arms. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am strong and healthy. We think I might have some sensitivity to poultry proteins, so it would be best if my food and treats are other types of meat to keep the itchies away. WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom, and my 16-year-old foster brother, the old chiweenie. I also interact with my lovely sitter anytime my human is away for work. My closest companion is my foster mom, hands down! She is my food giver and cuddle bestie! WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I have a nice big furniture-type crate in the living room where I spend my time when my human is away. I am a great crate sleeper and settle quickly on my big soft bed. I will calmly wait until you return! WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my soft canvas crate in my human’s room! I love to be near, but I tend to get warm when I sleep, so having my own space allows me to be comfy and cool. I sleep through the night and am not a noisy riser. I will wait until you are ready to wake up! DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I do like to go outside for walks and get excited when I see my harness and leash. I am still working on being fully confident leash walking though, as I can be a little scared of large cars (even if parked). I sometimes will stop walking altogether, so treats help give me a nice boost. I am sure with more practice, I will have this down pat! DO YOU HAVE ANY NOT-SO-GREAT HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I am working on learning to not jump up when I greet people, which is a big deal since I get so excited to see people who I know will give me love. But I am a good girl, and I am working hard to give calm greetings. I may also nip on fingers when I am seeking attention, so we are actively working on this. My goal is to sit nicely until you pet and love on me. I just want all your loving and your attention all the time! ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I am working on this! I am making good progress. I have very few accidents at home. My human makes sure to let me out after naps, after play time, and after eating. I am able to hold it through the night, which makes me and my foster mom very proud. If you leave the patio door open, I am able to take myself out to potty and will then come back in, but I do need to be reminded and be monitored. Please set me up to succeed by taking me out to potty often! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I do not mind getting my paws a little wet, but I am not a water dog. I do really enjoy baths, especially when the water is nice and warm. The other day as I was getting bathed, I actually dozed off. I am so good during bath time! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that my foster mom meets me where I am and doesn't push me too hard. I get positive reinforcement and treat-based training. I also have a lovely sitter who spends lunch with me when my human works long days, giving me a break from my crate. I get a lot of affection and love that I get carried around like a baby. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was found roaming the streets of San Francisco. I was extremely skinny and was brought to SF Animal Care and Control. Luckily, I didn’t have to stay at that place very long before NorCal Bully Breed Rescue got me out of there and brought me to my foster mom’s care. While in foster care, I have gained weight, my coat is shiny, I give wet sloppy kisses, and I am a great companion dog now. It is time for me to find my forever family! Are you ready to bring me home with you? **FIG’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300.** If you are interested in adopting Fig, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi, I’m Fischer! ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I’m a boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born around Christmas of 2024. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? Oh that’s easy. “Cutie pie” is a breed, right? No? Ok, then my second answer would be that I am a pit bull mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am 22 pounds and growing! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a beautiful black coat with a white chest, muzzle, and paws, and a perfect white stripe on the bridge of my nose. I have adorable forehead wrinkles and a long, white-tipped tail. I have a very solid build. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I am not picky and am highly food-motivated. Right now, I’m eating puppy kibble so I can grow up strong and healthy. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I’m a happy, playful puppy. I haven’t met a person or dog I didn’t love! You will never be lonely with me around. When I am not playing, I love to snuggle with my humans. I’m the most perfect companion! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day would involve some good playtime, ideally with other dogs, then a snack and a nap. Then repeat it all over again all day long! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love them all! I will play with toys or chew on a good bone. A game of tug of war always makes me happy! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know “sit.” I am working on other commands like “wait” and “down.” I’m still a puppy but am smart and very food motivated, so let’s have some fun bonding through training! WHAT SCARES YOU? I am pretty brave, so not much concerns me yet. I am still learning about the world and have a lot more experiences ahead of me to figure out. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I’m still a puppy, so I can be a little exuberant but will make a great family dog with continued training. DO YOU LIKE CATS? There is one that lives in my foster home, but she’s super mean so I just steer clear of her. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I live with my brother and two other dogs at my foster home. I love them and we have so much fun! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? My absolute favorite place is outside playing with my brother and foster siblings. I also really love playing with my people. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m in excellent health! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and her son, two resident dogs, and my brother, Froggy, who is also looking for his own family. Right now my closest companion is Froggy. We share a kennel most of the time. However, I never miss the opportunity to snuggle with the humans or play with the big dogs. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? With my brother in our kennel. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my crate like a very good puppy. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON LEASH? I am a puppy so I am still learning all the new things every day, and that includes how to walk on a leash. But, like everything else, I can be trained if you spend time teaching me! DO YOU HAVE ANY NOT-SO-GREAT HABITS WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I’m a really good boy, but am still a puppy so I can get excited (especially at feeding time). I’m learning quickly, though. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I’m just learning! I am great at using a potty pad and am trying hard to remember to potty outside. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I LOVE water from the hose! I just got a little kiddie pool and I like to splash in it. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? Everything! We play, we snuggle, I’m learning lots of things, I get treats, and I have a warm dry comfy place to sleep! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was around five weeks old when my three siblings and I were found in a box outside a fast food restaurant. Luckily for us, NorCal Bully Breed Rescue found us a foster home so we have been safe and healthy while we wait for our forever homes. I am SO ready to come home with you so we can have the most fun ever! Let’s do this! **FISCHER’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300** If you are interested in adopting Fischer, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi hi! I am Salt! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am such a sweet girl! 🥰 HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born around August 2021. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a bully mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I weigh a perfect 55 pounds. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am black with a white chest and white paws, and a giant happy smile full of love! 😍 WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? Oh, I love my yummy kibble, but I won’t turn you down if you want to offer me a tasty morsel from the treat jar as a reward for being such a good girl! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I can be shy when meeting new people, but I am quick to warm up and then I am everyone’s best friend! I love attention and “talk” a lot to make sure that everyone knows I’m supposed to be getting the MOST attention! 🤭 DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day is hanging out with my people and playing with my foster brother, Sage, until we are tired. Then it’s nap time! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I really enjoy bones of all sorts. I also like to play fetch with stuffies that my foster mom throws for me. That is the MOST fun!🧸 DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I will sit like such a good girl in exchange for a yummy treat! I am food motivated, so I would love to learn more tricks if you’d like to feed me more! WHAT SCARES YOU? I am cautious around new people and dogs. With slow introductions, I will figure out that I don’t need to worry about new things, so please show me patience. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? Yes, I have! I have been around some 11-year-olds and I do very well. Because I am a bit uncertain about new things, it is probably best for me to hang out with older kids rather than little ones, since the little ones will not understand my need for taking things slowly. DO YOU LIKE CATS? Oh, no thank you. I am not a fan of cats. 🐱 HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? If you set me up for success with slow, safe introductions, I would love to have a dog to play with. My foster brother and I have lots of fun playing together.🐶 IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? With my forever family and possibly a foster sibling! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? When I was rescued, I had some injuries to my shoulders and pelvis, but those have healed up nicely. When I run, I have a bit of a hitch in my giddy-up, but that doesn’t stop me from having fun! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom, foster sister, their three resident dogs, three resident cats (who I do not like), and another foster dog sister. My closest companion is Sage, my foster brother Rhodesian Ridgeback.💕 WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? When I am home alone, I am either in the kitchen/living room area for short periods of time, or in my X-pen in the garage. No matter where I am, I do not have a problem being alone. I am such a good girl! WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my cozy X-pen in the garage.😴 DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I do not mind walking on a leash. I get a bit overexcited when I see other dogs on a leash, but if you take the time to work with me, I will learn to temper my excitement.🐕‍🦺 DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I am an enthusiastic playmate and sometimes get a little excited, but I'm still learning my boundaries. I prefer to enjoy my meals and bones in peace, and I appreciate when my space is respected during those times. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Yes! I am house trained and will wait for my foster mom to take me out to go potty. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I do! Sometimes I get to play with water when my mom is washing her car, and that is so much fun! I am also a very good girl when it comes to bath time! 🛁 WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? My foster family has been so wonderful helping me recover from my injuries and helping me not be scared. I am learning what it feels like to be safe and loved, and that’s the most amazing feeling! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I actually don’t remember too much about the “before times.” I got hurt and ended up in a shelter, which wasn’t very fun. But then NorCal Bully Breed Rescue swooped in and got me out of that place so I could heal in a safe, comfortable, loving foster home. Now I am feeling so much better and it is time for me to find my forever family! I would love to meet you and come home with you for cuddles and loves! 💖 ⭐️SALT’S ADOPTION FEE IS $ 100.⭐️ If you are interested in adopting SALT, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi there! I am your new best friend, Carl!   ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I’m the most handsome gentleman ever!   HOW OLD ARE YOU? As of the middle of 2025, I am around two years old.  WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a pit bull mix! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am 62 pounds of perfection!  WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? Stunning is an understatement. I have a blocky head, a gorgeous fawn coat, am fit and fabulous, and have the most beautiful gold eyes. Truly breathtaking! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I’m not picky. If you’re offering, I’m accepting! Let’s eat! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am such a sweet, gentle boy. I am mellow when I need to be, playful when appropriate, and overall a perfect gentleman. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Oh boy, I get to pick my perfect day!?! It would start with a yummy meal, then a long walk, maybe a nap to rejuvenate, then let’s have some play time! Don’t forget dinner, then some quality couch time with my humans before I crawl into my cozy bed for a snooze! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Oh, I’m good with most any toy, really. Squeaky toys? Yes, please! A soft stuffie? That sounds delightful! A ball to chew on and chase around the yard? How fun is that!?! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I am good with “sit,” especially when it involves treats! I am willing to learn if you’re willing to teach, so maybe we can spend some time having fun bonding through training. WHAT SCARES YOU? I’m mostly afraid of ending up out on the street again. But I trust that the wonderful family that gives me a forever home will never let that happen to me again. That makes the future exciting and not so scary.   HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I haven’t been around children, so I can’t say how I’d feel around them, to be honest. Maybe older kids that understand how to be respectful of my space? DO YOU LIKE CATS? Oh, no thanks. I’ll pass on cats!  HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I am good with other dogs, as long as you give me time and space for proper introductions. I was rescued along with another dog friend and have made some new dog friends since I have been in my foster home..   IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Anywhere that I am safe and loved by my humans. Spending time with a human that is mine forever would be the best place in the world!  HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m very healthy! Pretty much perfect, right??   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I am a good boy in my crate, also known as my man cave. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? Yes, yes, yes! I love walking on a leash!    DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? I mentioned that I’m perfect, right? I don’t have much in the way of “not so great” habits at this time. I stay off the furniture unless invited, I take food gently when it is offered, and I don’t react when another dog is pestering me outside my crate… What a good boy!   ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) Yes, I am! I will need you to show me where you want me to potty, and be patient with me as I learn my new space, but I will figure it out quickly.   DO YOU LIKE WATER? I haven’t had a lot of experience with swimming, but I am a good boy so I will tolerate a bath, even if it’s not exactly my idea of a good time. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? A friend and I were cruising the neighborhood and found our way into a convenience store on a really hot day. The nice people saved us and contacted NorCal Bully Breed Rescue to take care of us. Now NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is helping us find a loving forever home. Would you please take me home with you and show me what it feels like to be safe and loved?   **CARL’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300. ** If you are interested in adopting CARL, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
***At this time we are ONLY doing adoptions within the immediate Sacramento area. Please fill out an adoption application on our website.*** My name is LOLA, aka LalalalaLola, Lolita Mamacita, Lowes, Lolo. (My humans love nicknames.) I answer to all of them, especially if there's food or a rubdown involved. My humans called me Lola because I am low to the ground. I think I'm just aerodynamic. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I’m 9 years old! I came to my humans with four itty bitty puppies, which I cared for and played with, until they got their new homes. I am proud to say I raised beautiful, if rambunctious, pups! My perfect day is: get up; stretch in my crate; eat breakfast; go outside and potty; sunbathe in the backyard (I know all the best places to go as the sun moves); hangout and watch TV with my humans for awhile (especially Animal Planet, I sleep if the news is on); hang out in my crate until the big guy gets home; go for a walk; eat dinner; go potty and watch some TV before bed. I am learning good manners. I know sit, down, leave it and off. I obey about 80% of the time. I also know to wait for my food and to wait to be invited in the house or out the gate. I am a work in progress. With consistency I'm a fast learner and love to make my humans happy. I love to fetch exactly 2.5 times, with great enthusiasm. My favorite toy is...I'm not sure. I eat them before I grow to like them. But a frozen cow bone section keeps me happy for months. I love humans of all shapes and sizes. Cuddling is my favorite game. My humans say I can't hold my licker, but I think they secretly love it. It's really hard to keep all my love inside. I gotta let it fly! I prefer to be the only dog in the house. I really like watching them on TV, but don't see the need to share my home with them. With all this love, why would you want more than me? I have a very waggy tail, a happy-go-lucky disposition, and am about 9 years old. Give me a home and I'll give you all my love and my very best efforts to melt your heart! Lola should be the only pet in the house. She prefers to be able to only have to share her love with her humans. 💗💗💗 The adoption fee for Lola is $300 Interested in meeting this dog or another one of our available dogs? Simply complete and submit our adoption application on our website www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org (FROM YOUR HOME COMPUTER, not cell phones, yet! We’re working on that!!) and we will respond to you within 3-5 days. Once a yard check is completed and you’ve passed the adoption process, you’re welcome to meet any of our dogs!!! NorCal Bully Breed Rescue (NBBR) is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread throughout the Sacramento area. We require our adopters to be within a 50 mile radius of us. This is because we need to do a physical yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. (*FaceTime or Skype are NOT acceptable methods of communication regarding yard checks.) We HAVE made exceptions for dogs that have been with us long term, and for senior dogs. We would still need to perform a yard check, and would be happy to do so for a dog that has been passed over repeatedly, but not for dogs that are in high demand. It would need to be to a neighboring state to California. NOT across the country. That would be too much. (*We will NOT be making this exception for puppies or designer breed dogs, so please don’t ask. It’s way too much for us to have to request time off of work and lose pay to drive a dog out of area when we have plenty of great homes in our area wanting to adopt these dogs.) We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and typically range from $200-$500. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary). In the case of designer breed dogs, like French Bulldogs and English Bulldogs, the adoption fee will be significantly higher in order to offset the costs associated with their surgeries, or associated with their demand. Thanks so much for your interest, and we hope we are able to match you up with your next family member!!! Looking forward to your application!!!

Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! I am Cosmo! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am the most handsome boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I am around one year old as of the middle of 2025. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a Bully mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? A healthy 54 pounds. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? My foster mom says I am very handsome with a blocky head, heart-melting eyes, adorable markings on my nose, and a shiny grey and white coat. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? If you’re offering food, I accept! I am not picky. I enjoy my tasty kibble and take treats happily and gently. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a certified goofball, lover of naps, walks, and maximum snuggles with my human. I will trade wags for treats. And I’ll also wag just to wag… I’m a happy guy! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day would involve food, plenty of play time with humans or dogs, a sniff-filled walk, lots of naps in the sunshine, and cozy cuddles with my humans. Any combination of those elements, in any order, sounds like the best day ever! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love toys that squeak or my big red ball that I can toss around the yard. So much fun! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know how to sit, lay down, wait, and shake. My foster mom makes me wait before coming out of my crate. I’m getting good at it, if I do say so myself! Treats, please! WHAT SCARES YOU? Not much scares me. I’m a pretty brave boy. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? Yes, I live with a human foster brother. He’s pretty fun. I am very well-behaved when young humans give me belly rubs or head scratches. I love the attention so much! DO YOU LIKE CATS? Cats are alright. My cat foster brother mostly ignores me, which is just fine with me. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I really enjoy playing with my canine foster sister. We play chase around the yard and wrestle. It’s so much fun! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I am happiest when I am with my humans, wherever that may be. Anywhere that I feel wanted and loved is the best place in the world. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am a strong and healthy boy! No issues here! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom, dad, and brother, plus there is another dog and a cat here too! My foster mom is my favorite because she gives me treats and takes me for pup cups. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang out in my crate where I am safe and cozy. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Sometimes I sleep in bed with my foster dad, but usually I spend the night snoozing happily in my crate. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I walk really well on a leash. I trot along side my foster mom, exploring the neighborhood and enjoying lots of sniffs along the way. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? Sometimes I get overly excited and I jump on my humans. It’s just me showing them that I love them, but I am trying to figure things out because I want to be the best boy! ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I am such a good boy! I only potty outside. Just show me where to go and I’ll learn quickly! DO YOU LIKE WATER? Oh yes! I enjoy splashing in the water and cooling off in the doggie pool on a hot day. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love spending a quiet afternoon lounging with my foster mom and going on walks with her. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was not living the best life, so some nice people came to save me from that place and took me to a shelter. Thankfully, they asked NorCal Bully Breed Rescue to get me out of the shelter and into a foster home so I could find out what life is supposed to be like. I would love to come home with you and learn more about love and fun times forever! **COSMO’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300.** If you are interested in adopting Cosmo, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
Introducing London! She is a beautiful boxer/American bulldog mix (per dna test) who was out of time in the shelter. Her estimated dob is 3/1/24 and should be around 50 to 55lbs full grown. London is doing well.  She is a typical puppy who needs rules and boundaries. London needs proper introductions to strangers.  She is easily redirected to her toys and has been good about not chewing things in the house  She does like to dig a little and explore the yard.  She is doing great with the other pack members in the house and loves her visits to another foster to play with a group of youngsters!.  She is an exhuberant player. And London really likes the water! We are walking in the neighborhood daily.  She is also learning basic commands. She is now on to the Intermediate obedience class and is picking up the commands quickly.  London stays in a crate at night and when her foster mom is away from the house. Potty training has been conquered. And London uses a dog door.  Car rides are also going well.  Cats are unknown. London's wish list: 1.   secure yard 2.   no small children 3.   Obedience training ongoing 4.   Daily walks 5.   Continued socialization   6.   A playful dog friend would be good too!   Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
I adopted Kilo from an owner who couldn’t take care of a puppy. I was single and had a lot of time to spend with him. In the last 6 years, now married with three children and a demanding profession has created a sense of guilt for him to be less involved in family activities. Kilo is a great solo companion, he loves attention, cuddles and being near his owner. Kilo is not neutered and has never been used for breeding. He is house trained, understand commands like sit and stay and go to your bed. Highly food driven but also in true bulldog fashion has a small attention span.
