This is my dog Kaia. Due to a divorce and an unwilling ex, she had nowhere to live. My new living situation has no place for a dog so I have to find her a new home. Kaia is a 6 year old boxer. She’s well adjusted and playful. She gets along with kids and other dogs. Shes fully vaccinated, microchipped and house trained. She loves to go on walks and is very sensitive to the people around her.

Story
Chrissy is a sweet 3-year-old boxer. She loves to swim, catch the ball, and grumbles when she wants to play. I have had Crissy since she was 6 weeks old. She is house-trained, crate-trained, trained to eat on command, and can walk off-leash; I trained her to use the word bathroom. She is a lovebug. She loves mental stimulation and is moderately active. Loves the outdoors, swimming, running, hiking, and taking day trips; she hates excessive heat. Overall, Crissy is a well-mannered dog who is well-rounded - and docile. She wears a boot on the front right paw. When we purchased her, she had 2 digits missing. Over time, it became sensitive, so I bought dog boots, and it worked fine for her. She only wears it for long runs or hikes. I bought her for my daughter, who has left, and I cannot take care of her- it was a hard decision to make, but I don't believe in keeping dogs that are neglected - she needs a loving home She has a brother I would like to keep them together if possible-

My Adoption Fee is Waived!A sweet, easy energy girl. A nice medium size. Walks easily on leash.Polly Pocket is lovable and cuddly and a little mischievous. She loves giving and receiving hugs and kisses and loves her belly rubs. She has a real sense of FOMO and will follow you around the house to make sure she knows what’s going on! She loves going on long walks and meeting new people. Everyone who meets her thinks she’s sweet and adorable. It could be because she rarely barks. She is still learning how to play well with other dogs so she may do better in a home where she is the only dog. Recently she made friends with an younger large breed dog and may just prefer bigger dogs. Here`s a video of her meeting some social dogs at our shelter:You may email the foster parents at stillensj@gmail.com for more stories, information and pictures and to set up a meet and greet.

Story
Hi, I’m Peaches! I am a friendly, playful girl. I enjoy playing with balls in the shelter play yards. I am currently kenneled with a dog that I came into the shelter with.  I also seem to be potty-trained! Of course you will need to reinforce that training with regular potty breaks.  I find cats a little too interesting. To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!

Story
Senior Alert!! Sherman is 11.5 yrs old (DOB 08.30.12). He’s the absolute best boy with other dogs of all sizes. He does prefer a home without any cats. Sherman would do well in a home with older children. He is an absolute love, who is happy cuddling up on the couch with his humans and snuggling, but despite his age he also LOVES his daily walks. Sherman is now almost completely deaf, and has trouble seeing in the dark because of changes in his eyes due to age. But, he’s still extremely strong when on walks or even playing. He knows basic obedience commands and is crate trained, house trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He would do best in a home with somebody who is home almost always as he does have some separation anxiety. Sherman is not a SacRDR rescue dog. He is one of our foster's rehoming projects. She is a Vet Tech and is in the process of starting her own rescue. We fully back her and her dogs. We have collaborated on rehoming several dogs with her and the dogs are stable grounded animals. If you are interested in Sherman we will refer you to our foster. An application and home inspection will be required. Interested in meeting Sherman? Story
Meet Dutton! Sweet Dutton is looking for his forever home! He was pulled from the Stockton Shelter at approximately 4 months old after being found running stray with another puppy, and had a bit of a rough start after developing a vaccine reaction that resulted in temporary distemper symptoms. Luckily with time and care he recovered quickly, and has been fairly healthy ever since! Dutton loves his people. He lives with dogs his size of both sexes; when introduced properly he can be playful and he loves his canine foster siblings. Cats and small dogs are not a fit. Dutton is listed as 'Special Needs' due to allergies and anxiety. After all he's been through he's an extra sensitive soul, and is beginning a behavioral training course with a reputable trainer based out of the Sacramento area to work through those anxious tendencies and help him learn to feel safe and secure in new situations. He would do best with a foster or adopter who worked from home (or spends time at home frequently) as he is a bit of a velcro dog. The ideal foster or adopter for Dutton will be willing to participate in training with him - the costs of this upcoming course have been covered by the rescue and are included in his adoption fee. Allergy-wise, Dutton had a full allergen panel completed after experiencing a skin reaction, and is now known to be sensitive to peanuts, soy/legumes, and tumbleweeds (of all things!). He is currently undergoing an immunotherapy treatment to alleviate his reactions to these allergens, which we hope will lessen the need for regular allergy medications in the future. Interested in meeting Dutton? Let us know! *Call or text 833-473-7364 or *Send an email to adopt@sacrdr.org (including your phone number) or *Message us on social media @resilientdogrescue or *Inquire using the Adopt a Pet system - be sure to include your phone number We look forward to hearing from you! Our adoption application will need to be completed and submitted.
