Story
Introducing London! She is a beautiful boxer/American bulldog mix (per dna test) who was out of time in the shelter. Her estimated dob is 3/1/24 and should be around 50 to 55lbs full grown. London is doing well.  She is a typical puppy who needs rules and boundaries. London needs proper introductions to strangers.  She is easily redirected to her toys and has been good about not chewing things in the house  She does like to dig a little and explore the yard.  She is doing great with the other pack members in the house and loves her visits to another foster to play with a group of youngsters!.  She is an exhuberant player. And London really likes the water! We are walking in the neighborhood daily.  She is also learning basic commands. She is now on to the Intermediate obedience class and is picking up the commands quickly.  London stays in a crate at night and when her foster mom is away from the house. Potty training has been conquered. And London uses a dog door.  Car rides are also going well.  Cats are unknown. London's wish list: 1.   secure yard 2.   no small children 3.   Obedience training ongoing 4.   Daily walks 5.   Continued socialization   6.   A playful dog friend would be good too!   Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Izzy WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Izzy (short for Isabella because I’m so bella!)   ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I’m a gorgeous girl!    HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born on November 29, 2018.
WHAT BREED ARE YOU? Just the most perfect Boxer/Pit Bull mix! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I’m 80 pounds of pure love!  WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I’m a classic, fawn Boxer beauty with soulful brown eyes and natural black eyeshadow.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I’ll pretty much eat anything but have a soft spot for cheese! Can you blame me, though? Cheese is life! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am goofy and playful but also love a good cuddle sesh. I’m loyal to my humans and adore little kids!  DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Oh that’s easy! My perfect day would start with a long walk, popping some bubbles or chasing a ball, then some quality couch time with my humans, followed by a nice long nap. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Anything that squeaks will not squeak for very long when I get my paws on it!  DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I’m good with the basics, sit, stay, leave it, and wait! I am very food motivated, so if you want me to learn more, bring on the treats! WHAT SCARES YOU? On leash, I am sometimes nervous about other dogs, so I tend to react to tell them to stay away from me and my human!   HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I LOVE children, especially little ones! I am so tolerant of their shenanigans, although I appreciate when my humans step in when they start to get a little handsy with me!  DO YOU LIKE CATS? Oh, no thanks. I’ll pass on cats!  HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? With slow, structured introductions, I should be alright with large dogs, but I do not want little dogs in my space. As I mentioned earlier, I can get uncomfortable with some dogs when on leash. I’m practicing and getting better, treats can help!    IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? It doesn’t matter where I am as long as we’re together. Right beside my human is the best place in the world!  HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m very healthy!   WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with two adults and two children under five years old. My foster mom is my super-favorite person in the world right now, although those littles sure are a lot of fun!   WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I chill. Sometimes on the couch, sometimes on the floor. I take myself out and like to find cool spots in the house.   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Pretty flexible! Couch, floor, dog bed. A crate if I must, but I like crates the least. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? A leash means walks! I love walking on a leash!    DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? Sometimes when I’m on leash I have a hard time telling between friend or foe. Even though I’m big, that doesn’t stop me from acting like a puppy. I am willing to learn, so let’s spend some time working together and have some fun bonding while you teach me what you want me to do!   ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) Yes, I am! No problems there! Make sure you tell me where and I’ll stick to it.   DO YOU LIKE WATER? I’m not much of a swimmer but I love getting in the water and playing with the hose. Maybe you can teach me how to swim?   WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love spending time with my foster family, especially all the cuddles. The best is when I get to hang out with the kids. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOUR FUTURE ADOPTER? I’m SO ready to start the next phase of my life with my forever family! Let’s do this! **IZZY’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300.** If you are interested in adopting Izzy, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
This is Stahli - to know her is to absolutely love her! Stahli is a 3 year old boxer/boston terrier mix up for adoption in Minneapolis, Minnesota!! Not only is she stunningly pretty with a shiny black coat, she's also very smart. She loves performing tricks and pleasing her people when asked to do things. She craves adoration and accolades! Her favorite things are: snuggling, playing with dogs & toys and watching the neighborhood comings and goings. She has a goofy playfulness to her when combined with her adorable underbite, makes her simply irresistible! Gotta love a good snaggletooth! Stahli will thrive in a stable home without a lot of commotion and chaos. At this time, we are unsure if she would thrive in an apartment setting. She has a hard time processing new people entering her space which can overwhelm her at first. She needs to be allowed to approach people on her own terms. This applies at home and in crowded places. She enjoys going places & car rides, but needs you to advocate for her out in public if people rush up to her... otherwise, she'll vocalize her anxiety herself. She tends to recover quite quickly in public and recently enjoyed a fun evening out at a dog-friendly brewpub. To summarize Stahli: does she have a slight case of stranger danger, yes. But when Stahli loves you, she loves you with every fiber of her being and that will never waiver. She is a smart girl though and remembers people, so if she mistrusts someone, it can be hard to change her opinion. She is currently in a great foster home that is helping to build her confidence when meeting new people. Her new family will need to implement this new routine when visitors are coming over and coach new people through how to interact with her. AND drumroll ::: Stahli is on Facebook + Instagram ::: she'd love it if you'd follow her. She loves being a star! @adoptstahli Stahli is being fostered in NE Minneapolis. To meet her in person, please fill out an adoption application. We will reach out to you within 72 hours to arrange a meet-n-greet. If you get to pet her cute spotted belly, you've won her over! Story
Daisy Boo is a 3 year old little love bug that only weighs 45 lbs. She was found as a stray. In a heartbreaking turn of events, we were able to locate her original owner who could no longer afford to keep her. She is longing for a family again as she wants nothing more than to just hang out with you! Daisy Boo is a low-maintenance dog that would be perfect for apartment or home living and would be a great choice for a family with children. She is smart, super fun and loves her stuffies! She’s currently enrolled in training sessions to master leash walking in urban environments around other dogs. Her former owner said she played well with other dogs. Daisy Boo would LOVE to meet you! If you'd like to her n person, please fill out an adoption application. If you are using Adopt-a-Pet, you may click on the "Apply Online" button. Story
This handsome boy is super sweet and responsive. He has beautiful eyes and cute little freckles. He is very people friendly but would do better with female dogs and small dogs and non reactive with cats. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. It is unknown how he would do with children. He is very smart Ana would do better with a dog savvy owner. He really is the full package. Beautiful, smart and sweet.

Story
Meet Mallory! Mallory is the dog version of a sprite. She is always happy and excited about life! She will self pacify with her toys, she goes out on a skateboard run daily for 45 minutes (pulls the rider, foster's neighbor) and is very athletic. Mallory's play style is rough, so not all dogs appreciate her energy, but she does very well with like minded dogs. She is fine spending the day at home, excited to see you when you get home and just wants to sit on your lap (she does need to learn about personal space) and watch tv in the evenings. She is high energy when needed but is happy as long as she is with her person. Mallory is a Stanislaus Shelter Survivor. We made contact with her original owners and know a lot about her background. She was an adorable puppy. You can see the love in her eyes. Interested in meeting Mallory? Story
Noah needs a hero. A quiet home with a patient guardian. Noah is a save from Bradshaw! His only issue was his stranger danger with men. He loves other dogs and toys/play. He is about 1.5 years old (a/o May 2013). Noah had severe stranger danger and mostly to men. Clearly he has suffered at the hands of a man. Noah is very smart and high energy. He loves to play fetch, chase toys and hang from his tree toys. He has made tremendous progress with his current foster and loves his dad. He uses play to build trust. So playing with him is the first step. Once he trusts you, you are in. He is the highest jumper we have ever seen but he has not tried to escape. If he is to be kenneled at any point it should be a covered kennel or he needs to be supervised. But he has never escaped to date. Or really tried to, that we've noticed. Noah loves other dogs. That is his strongest and best trait. He can be in any situation, even a pack of dogs ( play group) and he excels. He loves to play. Play is his love language. Because of Noah's stranger danger he has not been exposed to children. So he does have special needs. As until he really trusts you , he should not be introduced to new people. Once that bond is built he will learn to trust, the progress should be consistent and slow. We can share ways to introduce Noah to new people. But it is stressful for him. Especially if they are men. So a quiet, not too busy with traffic home, would be best. The perfect home for Noah would be one with a large yard, where he can run. He was on a farm with horses, donkeys, llamas and he was curious but pretty indifferent. The fences need to be fairly high and if there are some trees to hang some toys from , he will keep himself busy for days. Lots of ball play. He does not need to go anywhere. He can be a home dog. He will need slow introductions to people and always done the same way so he knows what to expect or just put him in his crate when you have company. He is crate trained and if he has some toys he will just hang out. He deserves a home of his own. He has been in boarding , where he learned to trust strangers, but is now in a foster home and we have learned so much about him. He loves the people he trusts. He is a special case and honestly is what rescue is about. A special dog that is worked with so he gets a second chance. Take a chance on this boy. Noah needs a hero. He is not the easiest dog but he is worth the effort. Interested in meeting Noah? Story
Meet Dutton! Sweet Dutton is looking for his forever home! He was pulled from the Stockton Shelter at approximately 4 months old after being found running stray with another puppy, and had a bit of a rough start after developing a vaccine reaction that resulted in temporary distemper symptoms. Luckily with time and care he recovered quickly, and has been fairly healthy ever since! Dutton loves his people. He lives with dogs his size of both sexes; when introduced properly he can be playful and he loves his canine foster siblings. Cats and small dogs are not a fit. Dutton is listed as 'Special Needs' due to allergies and anxiety. After all he's been through he's an extra sensitive soul, and is beginning a behavioral training course with a reputable trainer based out of the Sacramento area to work through those anxious tendencies and help him learn to feel safe and secure in new situations. He would do best with a foster or adopter who worked from home (or spends time at home frequently) as he is a bit of a velcro dog. The ideal foster or adopter for Dutton will be willing to participate in training with him - the costs of this upcoming course have been covered by the rescue and are included in his adoption fee. Allergy-wise, Dutton had a full allergen panel completed after experiencing a skin reaction, and is now known to be sensitive to peanuts, soy/legumes, and tumbleweeds (of all things!). He is currently undergoing an immunotherapy treatment to alleviate his reactions to these allergens, which we hope will lessen the need for regular allergy medications in the future. Interested in meeting Dutton?
